Oh, I'm already dead. Yet my restless spirit can not pass on until my unfinished business here is resolved. I can not move on into the sweat embrace beyond the mortal coil until I know, so I am damned to haunt these forums till then...
Either that or I really need to double check my phones auto-correct suggestions...

Interesting Factoid...
From the original submissions, the survival rate of item types past the third cull is:
Wondrous Item - Chest: 100%
Wondrous Item - Feet: 90%
Shields: 80%
Every other item type has a survival rate below 60%. (45% - 50% is typical)
Two item types have a survival rate around 25%:
Wondrous Item - Eyes
Wondrous Item - Headband

Another way to ready this stat, btw, is that we're likely to find another couple of these and push their retention rate up to the typical 45%-50%.

Having looked at the stats, I would consider that stats for types with less than 9 items are not meaningful, because the sample is too small ;-)

Thanks for the headsup on this one, TA. Makes a lot of sense. Thanks again!

For those who haven't seen the stats -- that would be ignoring Chest and Headband.
I agree with you for Chest, but not for Headband. The reason being that there was a good reason everyone avoided the Headband slot -- it's very difficult to do right, and has to be better than a stat-boosting headband to get any traction at all.

Congratulations to everyone whose made it this far. We've hit the halfway mark in how long the voting will be available for (and almost halfway in number of items that are left). Also thanks to everyone whose updated the spreadsheet. I haven't seen my item so it's relief knowing whether I made it this far rather than doubting (but hoping) I had.

Rats. Looks like I didn't make it past the second cull. Thought I had a shot as I never once saw my item despite numerous votes and I had heard that the less an item is seen the better, that it was the votes that were voted down that kept showing up. I can think of a couple of things I should have done better. Oh well....next time.
It'll be interesting to see what does advance.

To all of those who are sure their item succumbed to the culls: my sympathies, that's a rough feeling. But let me advise you just to hedge our bets and avoid discussing any specifics about your item until the end of all round 1 voting. Yes, statistically speaking, the list is very likely to be accurate, but there is always some tiny percentage chance that through freak odds, you are actually still in the running. It costs you nothing to remain silent on your item for another week, and, in the fringe, corner case where you might still be in the running, talking about it now would DQ you.
I haven't seen anybody doing that YET, I'm just sticking the warning out there as a thing.
Aside from that, look for the Critique Thread, once it's posted-- you'll learn a ton through that, and there's always next year.

A friend mentioned one today that wasn't marked as seen. I hope he will confirm & update the list when he gets my question.
Whether or not you you think you are out because of the cull, can I recommend making a list of those not yet seen and voting a bunch to look for them? Not everyone is updating the list, so even 10 minutes might make the list more accurate (and will certainly make the voting more accurate. :)

I breathed a sigh of relief as I noticed my item made it past the 3rd cull (just checked after wrapping up my weekly Pathfinder game) congrats to those that made it past and for those who have not seen their item yet keep hope.
I have been checking the sheet of items as I vote and everyone is doing an amazing job keeping track and giving those restless folks like myself a moments reprieve from the anticipation.
A quick note that has been mentioned here and elsewhere, if you did not make it past take heart and watch for the Critique my Item Thread that will give you a chance to hear from the judges and fellow Pathfinder gurus.

I remember last season, when we had the gauntlet thrown down... "Staves are hard to do well". So, based on that, a really good headband might not have a great deal competing against it ;)

I preemptively blame you for all the headbands in next year's SupahStah: The 80s Revisited Edition.
