Cleric needs emergency force sphere.... Possible?

Advice

Title says it. I know a ancient lorekeeper oracle can get the spell as a level 5 but I don't want that for this experiment. Used to be eldritch heritage (arcane) could do it but that is t the case anymore. Furthermore as far as I know emergency force sphere is exclusive to wizard or sorcerer so this isn't easy to get. Any ideas?

UMD and a scroll, but it would be kind of missing the point of having the spell.

Liberty's Edge

It's possible with the Dreamed Secrets feat from the Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Gods book.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dreamed Secrets

When you sleep you gain secrets from beyond the stars, but such power comes with a price.

Prerequisite(s): Ability to cast divine spells, caster level 7th, worshiper of a Great Old One or Outer God.

Benefit(s): With each night's rest, you can choose two spells from the wizard spell list, both of which must be at least 1 wizard spell level lower than the highest level divine spell you can cast. If you are a spontaneous caster, these spells are added to your spells known for 24 hours. If you prepare spells, you can prepare these spells any time you do so in the next 24 hours. Each time you attempt to cast one of the wizard spells you have chosen, you must succeed at a DC 20 Will save or take 1d2 points of Wisdom damage and fail to cast the spell, though you do not lose the spell.

------------------------------------------------------------------------

You'd need access to 5th level Cleric spells, and you'd need to worship the right god(s).

Liberty's Edge

Also, you might be able to manage it by taking the Daivrat prestige class (from Pathfinder Companion: Qadira, Gateway to the East).

At 2nd level, they get the Spell-Fetch ability, which can get you spells from other classes. You would lose a caster level, though. Also, you'd need to be a 5th level Daivrat before you could nab Emergency Force Sphere, and you'd cast it as a 6th level spell (two levels higher).

Liberty's Edge

Veiled Illusionist prestige class can give you access to Shadow Evocation, which can emulate any Evocation spell of 4th level or lower, including Emergency Force Sphere. Of course, there is the whole problem of it only being one-fifth as strong as the real thing...

Liberty's Edge

You could potentially capture a use of Emergency Force Sphere by counterspelling it with Dispel Magic and trapping it in a Spell-Capturing Gem for later use. It would only last for Caster Level minus 4 (Spell Level) days.

Liberty's Edge

Okay, that's totally everything that I can think of.

Nice work heymitch. Not my ideal solution but at least its options.

Clerics can do spell research - ask your GM if he'd allowed you to research the spell.

Is race locked in? Samsaran race has a racial(?) alternate that allows them to pick spells from another class as well.

I was about to say you missed one and then I looked it up and wouldn't you know. The Ring of Spell Storing has the same damned casting time restriction that scrolls/wands do.

Sometimes I really hate this rule system >_<

Race is 95% certain to be human, but that does allow for racial heritage.

Racial Heritage doesn't help with that, Mystic Past Life is a racial ability like the Human bonus skill point.

But the class has to be same type... a divine class can only get spells from another divine class's list.

The most overlooked fact of Pathfinder: *all* spellcasters can do spellresearch to either make a divine version of a spell, from a other spell-list or similar is the easy way. The hard way is to make own custom spells and effects.

Its kind of a DM fiat thing, but hey it *is* in the core rules after all ^^;;

Yeah I can research it but the GM knows what I would use this for and he will not allow it. In truth I wouldn't either as it's just too OP without having to pay a price of none of the options heymitch was good enough to offer.

Pathfinder Savant can get any spell of any list with Esoteric Magic. Arcane Savant in d20pfsrd

Wait.... You mean there is a spell that hasn't been smuggled across the casting border via domain/class/prestige spell list?!?! (/exaggerated surprise)

I hear about how great the spell is occasionally on the boardboards, but have never really looked into it.
