/huge sigh of relief and sense of accomplishment
Hey guys!
After working for over 12 hours on this (getting up early, sleeping late) I managed to finish my round 2 submission way ahead of schedule. I am quite happy with my work and the speed at which I was able to produce it.
I want to encourage all who are working on round 2: may your map be voted in the next batch!

I'm really missing this round. As a geology student, we did five weeks in the field as a "capstone class". This field work centered around geologic mapping on a professional level. We were given hard deadlines (usually 12 noon on Saturday) for turning field observations, notes and a sketch map into a professional publication.
I had an almost perverse sense of enjoyment in the adrenaline rush to complete the best map possible within the allotted time. So I can empathize with all 32 of you. And I look forward to seeing every completed map! Good luck, all!

I am done as well. I submitted my map about 6 hours ago. =)
I didn't sleep last night, but my schedule is kind of busy tonight and I have to work tomorrow. I wanted to submit my entry before work today rather than risk missing the deadline.
Gonna put some finishing touches on mine tonight, then post before midnight
Any info on how fast the confirmation letter might arrive?

Next year maps must terraformed on the moon for submission.
Congratulations if you've already got it in. I've got the concept and a sketch of what might be called the first half, and will be sitting down with software very shortly to get on with the real deal.
(I won't say what the significance of that "first half" comment is as it might violate the rules, but I will say it's something a bit more interesting than "it's a two-level dungeon and I'm done the first level", something I don't think most people will have seen before.)

The die is cast, and for better or worse, I didn't take 10. My submission is in. Good luck everyone, and I can't wait to see everyone's entries! I'm even ok with 15 of them being better than mine.

Don't freak out, you have almost 24 more hours! I don't know about these other guys, but I'm unemployed, I should have had mine done yesterday.

nooo it's in my nature to panic ;_;
but I do have 24 (well, 23 now) more hours. And even enough time to fit 8 hours of sleep and some food in. Still. Failing Will save vs Anxiety attack (the DC for that is like 24 in my defense)

I have submitted mine and now live in perpetual fear, especially since it's Mercury Retrograde, the email will be eaten and it won't be seen and I'll be disqualified even though I sent it in early. (All you people talking about panic and anxiety, I have no idea what you're talking about.) (ETA: the nifty submission tool thingy on the main Superstar page says my submission was entered, so phew.)
And for anyone panicked I got it in early--I have to go away tomorrow morning, so I had to submit it now! As it is I have not yet packed...

Holy crap, that popcorn sounds amazing.
My map is out to my pit crew right now. I figure once I get back all the crit, it'll take me 1-3 hours to revise with their feedback and then... submit.
Choice made. Now it's just the work of making it into pixels.
For those of you panicking: One good thing about the map round? You don't have to face the dreaded preview button to check your word count and formatting.
Many a Superstar challenger has quaked in fear at the thought he/she would accidentally hit submit instead. As 16 of you will likely discover in a couple weeks.
Count me among those who have sent in their map entry...
Can't bear to look at it any more, so I submitted it.

I think I might have focused too much on the thing's appearance.

One thing I can't be accused of is focusing too much on appearance... it sucks being a creative person who can't actually draw, though it sucks less on this project than it would on a million other possible ones.
Might be in the same boat as you, Chris. I guess we will see!

Can anyone verify this besides DQ? Because I'm not seeing any such confirmation for me, and I emailed mine in five hours ago. Do you have to click through the "Submit for this round" thing to this message?

I think I managed somehow to submit toward close of business on the West Coast, so Chris Lambertz saw it pretty quickly and added it to the submission pool. Probably once the office opens again today it'll get taken care of, if it hasn't yet.

....hewhocaves, I just now realized that your username is "he who caves." For like two days I've been reading at is "hew - ho - caves". I'm going to blame the dwarf-y avatar for that.
*twitches* This is about my usual bedtime, but I'm extremely and irrationally nervous about not knowing if Paizo got my submission, and not wanting to go to sleep and risk sleeping through the 2 pm mark even if I set my alarm, in a worst case scenario....
...and the map has been submitted, phew. Now the wait.

Very understandable. So understandable that on business cards I actually have "He-who-caves" in parentheses next to it. I've been asked "What is a Hew ho?" many, many times.
Btw, I jokingly refer to it is as my "Native American name". Its inspiration came from the name the Sioux gave to paleontologist Ferdinand Hayden. To the Sioux, Hayden was "man who picks up little stones while running".

Phew. Done and submitted. Committing to hitting that send button was way more stressful than it should have been.
I looked at the attachment on my email and noticed A SPECK ON MY MAP. Hopefully everyone thinks it's a bush or something. XD
