The conspiracy theories are a little silly. If I were DMing and I saw them, I'd probably get somewhat offended to be honest. You could get character ideas by typing a lot less in Advice anyhow.

Maybe you didn't notice and no one told you but, 'bad GMs' (or at least, GMs who get bad reputations) are a growing concern here (on paizo.com) due, among other things, to GMs lacking in commitment. So if I GMed, then disappeared for a few days without warning, I would understand the players thinking stuff like that, even if I was offended/insulted by it.

Conspiracy theories or no, I was just hoping for an update. Even if it's as simple as "Woah, this is a ton of good submissions! Still looking them over." :)

Lol- I'd settle for "Woah, this is a ton of bad submissions! Still looking them over."

GM S&C, I'm going to respectfully withdraw Molasbar from recruitment here. Thank you for your consideration.

Flakiness is a big part of online gaming regardless of the site, and especially for PbPs. It's understandable to think someone may have flaked (and it may be what happened), but there's not much to gain by making those accusations (besides offending the person, and what's the point of that?).

Requesting that someone check in is perfectly cordial however.

Yes and no, paizo.com allow someone to see another user posting history, quite a few GMs give the "busy" answer instead of just admiting they lost interest or that they are way over their heads, other give no warning, and just abandon the game.

Here is a submission for Joshua Larkin, beaurocrat-turned-insurgent (inquisitor/ranger).

Larkin:
Joshua Larkin is an unimposing man in his late 20s. Through use of disguise and bluff, he tries to create the subtle impression of being older than he is, trying to come accross as a kindly, middle-aged beaurocrat.
He fervently maintains his innocence to anyone who he thinks might care, but astute listeners may notice that he never quite specifies what he is innocent of. He has a tendency to speak in evasions or misleading truths, rather than outright lies.

Larkin was a minor dignitary in the local government. He was subverted, some time ago, by a member of a diplomatic mission (or perhaps a covert agent) from a neighboring lawful evil nation. Since then he has been acting as a spy, trying to foment revolution, but was recently found out due to bad luck. The neighnoring nation is now probably as pissed at him as the Talingarders, for he is guilty of the one unforigivable crime -- Failure!

His (now quite faint) hope is to win his way back into the good graces of his former benefactors, by acting on his own to accomplish some tremendous feat (dissolve the kingdom, assassinate the king and his heir, or something similarly preposterous).

(I don't know much about the setting -- asking for some help to fill in details (which nation, which religion it has, which domains are available, etc).)

Shadow Lodge

Those who accuse the Existing GM of "flakiness" should pony up and start your own game.

I'm not really accusing anyone, aside for many GM who ask their players to warn if they must quit, but don't do it themselves.

Not accusing anyone of anything, and yet I did actually go and start up a campaign of my own and am all set to start now. (Application process completed and players selected, with the gameplay and discussion threads up.) Some of us put our money where other people's mouths are.

Liberty's Edge

here is my submission still need to get skills and do some fluff but Orth than that

Shadow Lodge

Right on Mackenzie :)

Liberty's Edge

All done with crunch here you go Gremly

Um. is this campaign dead??

Shadow Lodge

Given that the last post by the DM was nine days ago, it looks like that is a strong possibility....

A true shame. It was shaping up to be such an interesting campaign.

Is there anybody else interested in taking up the torch?

Shadow Lodge

I'm not a very expirenced DM, and I don't have the books either or I would volunteer

Grand Lodge

I would but I'm terrible at maps online, if an assistant wants to offer doing those I might be persuaded to run it.

I am excellent at maps and would be more than willing to do that. I do most of my work on google drive, but I also use dungeongrid on occasion for simple maps.

My homebrew world of Erandor

A small street fight

A huge 28 vs 49 brawl

@kayne and @Nareth if you two do team up to run this game please put a link to it on here ty

Grand Lodge

Well to be honest, If it wasn't for the fact I was made unemployed this morning I would have seriously made an attempt with Narreth (if he was game) Now my mind is else were

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I'm sorry to hear that Kayne. I hope things work out for you.

Well this thread appears mostly dead than, so I'm going to stop checking in. If the original DM reappears or a new one steps up and needs a mapmaker, please PM me. Thanks.
