Okay, that's a creative ability you've given to your item, but why would anyone ever want to use it? It's not doing anything beneficial.
+ 3 something and something of something, something, something, something weapon... smh.
Helpful safety tip: Swift actions never provoke an attack of opportunity.
Wow, a new item. Quite clever, too. Here, have a vote over the spell-in-a-can.
finally saw my item. Didn't have to go champion to see it :)
Disgusting insect item vs tasty insect item, which wins :-)
Gravity item vs Dimension Door item.
Does it also change into a snake ?

Starknives kinda remind me of the "glaive" from Krull...

A follow-up to the aspergillum conversation from a few pages back:
I said I ought to design a PDF inspired by that conversation, so I did. I just finished a four-page PDF that includes three new mundane aspergilla and eight new magic aspergilla. I'll upload it to the Paizo store tomorrow, so it should go live Monday or Tuesday. I'll post a link when it's available.

Aspergoooooooooooooaaaaaaaalllllllll!
Ah, copyright notice. Check.
Wow, 2 new items at once!
Shield of the blobbity blob vs Shield of the yakkity schmackity.
FIGHT!
My characters are neither mascots nor moonlighting movie characters, and this item is positively [REDACTED]

Another new item, and one that made me look up not one, but two new words. In this instance, I'm not sure they were necessary. Still an interesting item, but there's a limit to the word count. I'm not sure using obscure language when describing mechanics is a plus. Better to err on the side of clarity.
That is a staff, that is a rod, that is a weapon. ^-^
This item is far too complicated for what it does :-/
Yet another SIAC+SAK masquerading as a weapon. With unnecessary fluff to boot and that actually ends up contradicting its abilities :-/
While the other item, though not exciting, provides good value with a professional level of description.
I get the idea that inspired you, but an idea is not enough. And now I have to upvote that OP ring :-/
That wondrous item masquerading as a weapon is nice. But the fact that the other item actually IS a weapon makes it better.
Next time, keep your wondrous item ideas to yourself so that you can use it when they actually call for it.
Eerie vs Unnerving. Fight
Almost 300 words for a Great Wall of Text ? Thankfully, the other item is better.
Great ring there. Upvoted and first ring to make my Keep list :-)
Fastball Special item :-))
Item that protects vs Cold and Fire vs Item that protects vs Cold and Fire. What are the odds ?
Will upvote the one that plays less havoc with the rules ;-)
You could have used even less words, since it is not necessary to describe the properties of this famous special material ;-)
The pairings seem a little bit more haphazard these days. More clear-cut choices easily made.

Item I barely looked at versus one that doesn't let you go to the toilet! No real sanitary option here. Move along.
2 Crafting feats in the requirements ? I think it would have been better to choose one and stick to it :-/
2 good items here. I chose the one that was less niche
Playing with haunts, and nicely done.
4th time for the fart :-))
I bow to your persistence odorous one and add you to my Keep list.
Yay ... two new items! Ooops no they are not! Seen both before and not that fussed by either of you - trying to trick me with your fancy names...oh well... I'll vote for the one that does not spit stuff.
There is so much mithril it's become as common as muck!

2 okay items. Hard to pick one.
Unless I am mistaken, spell descriptors do not appear in the Aura description.
I see dead items, and undead and ghost. They are everywhere. How can you not see them ?
Evocative and useful but complicated weapon wins over bland staff
Fire protection and damage on the right.
Fire protection and damage on the left.
I guess Fire wins ;-)
And another Fire damage item full of volcanic lore just after the previous one :-/

Found the butter. Still looking for the salt. Though I did find some honey earlier.
And the butter makes it to my Keep list :-)

If you have to give examples of the results of using your item, maybe you should not call them self-evident ;-)
And another item which requires 2 Crafting feats. But this one is so good that it makes it to my Keep list :-)
It seems that a Staff that can be used as a weapon indeed requires Craft Magic Arms and Armor. While a Rod that can be used as a weapon does not, except when it does (all according to examples found in the CRB) :-/
There is a Preview button. Someone missed it and we are suffering for it still :-/
