I felt kind of dirty voting for it.
Mine was against an item that was probably slightly better, but I didn't want to rob my item of the one vote I could guarantee it.
I still feel bad though.
When I saw mine it was against a weapon that would make for a perfect nemesis to my entry. I’d up-voted the nemesis prior, so I felt no guilt in voting for mine.

So far I only have seen about 5 items I would allow in my campaigns.
1 Ring
1 Sword
1 Armor
2 Staffs
Hardly any of the rods seem to impress, other than one really good one, but it wouldn't fit my campaign.
Also: I haven't upvoted a *single* item that augments mythic creatures or requires mythic crafting. They seem to all cost like 300,000 gp and have a huge list of abilities that are off balance. Basically: Artifacts.

"Ugh, this is such as bad item... Wait, my awesome DM already used almost exactly this against us... Actually it was cheese then, so it's cheese now. Hopefully the other item is bet-- Nope. *sigh* Okay, Everyone? I'm going to upvote this item... But that's not an endorsement. Don't actually use it. It's cheese."

Suffice to say that all three 299-ish wordcount items would have benefited from half the word count.
...Okay, how many times did the rules say "don't use the formatting from Ultimate Equipment"? And you did that anyway... lucky you the other item is just really bland.

"Greatly prized by..."
Drink!
Also: Two items with "let me write my homebrew world backstory into this item, I'm sure you'll love it".
And one of them is "Only useable by [obscure race] when fighting [obscure monster type]".
And that's still the one I'm voting for, which says something about the other...

Wait... you can include hyperlinks in your item description?! That's a thing the rules will allow?! o.O
You know what, for sheer moxie, and the fact that I was able to look up all the rules pertaining to your item in a matter of seconds, I will probably vote for your item every time I see it now.
Still kinda in shock...

Snerf Fibbler's Staff
This staff is prized by Snerf Fibblers everywhere. No one else would ever want it. It permits the use of the following spells:
Fibble Snerf I
Fibble Snerf II
Fibble Snerf III
Snerf Fibbler's Fortune
If you already have these spells (and you do, because you are a snerf fibbler), well, enjoy your overpriced wand.
Construction Requirements: Craft Staff, fibble snerf I-III, snerf fibbler's fortune, the trapped soul of a thrice-fibbled snerf

Just saved my first staff. Now have something saved from every category. Took a while to encounter a good staff, but I like it enough to run it by my DM for use in our campaign, which I had only been planning for a weapon so far, assuming another player wanted a weapon like it. I'm 100% certain he's going to make edits to pull the power on it way back, but it's a really cool intent and set-up.

Torn about weapons that grant a bonus to nonviolent conflict resolution. It's a nice idea thematically, but it doesn't seem like an appropriate power for a weapon. It's like having a suit of armor that gives you +2 to Intimidate your enemies when you leave it at home and go into battle bare-chested.
Then again, maybe I just haven't seen it implemented well.

So I just saw an item that does what mine does, but rather than flat bonuses, it uses certain class-based augmentations.
Mine has better formatting, and a more "pick up and play" ruleset, whereas the other item will require some book scouring.
That said, he clocks in way under my own wordcount.
Still, I feel good knowing that I think my item is definitely easier to use and better written. I feel bad having seen someone else with a concept similar to mine.
Up till now, I was a snowflake.

So tired of seeing nothing but my downvotes coming back again and again.
Weapon of the Unspeakable Name that requires you to speak its name for ridiculous stuff and the Ranged Weapon of Ridiculous Cost.
Or perhaps one of the fifty shields that disarm/eat/teleport/or get all sticky on the incoming attackers weapon?
Raugh!
