We're working on the Guild Landrush promotion blog. Alpha info will start being discussed once we get the Land Rush back on-line.
I figured it would be the reverse. Can't say I'm disappointed though. The release of the map and discussing the relative merits of various Land Rush Settlements has created a lot of excitement. I have a lot of questions about how the Land Rush will work :)

I can give you an Alpha update, but it's not worth a blog and all the surrounding social activity. The team is working really hard to scope and finish the current milestone. This is an "integration" milestone where a lot of stuff that they have been working on individually now has to connect to the systems other people have been working on too. We have to build some infrastructure which isn't sexy - like a tool to create user accounts, etc. When we get all that interconnection to a stable point and when we have enough of the infrastructure ready to enable people to play we'll be able to predict when Alpha will start, and not before. It is a matter of weeks, not months, but right now I can't tell you which week.

1000 times yes.

The minor details are the hardest because they seem minor and have not been properly story boarded until needed. Then the complexity behind the curtain is revealed. Ryan please remember: "No wine before its time". Yes I want this to happen, but getting access too son is not really access.
Patience. Bread (or cake or soufflé) too soon out of oven is not really bread and is no longer dough -- just a mess!

If the polish milestone was "Kielbasa", this 'unsexy but necessary side dish' could perhaps be called "Sauerkraut"?
