With the coming of a new year, comes a new idea for a PbP pathfinder campaign! (Interest first)

This is a very interesting idea. I'd really like to see how it's implemented before I toss my hat in. But gotta say the idea sounds really cool.

I'm thinking my dwarf might be an alchemist. The slightly crazy blacksmith who loves his forge's fire a little too much, but he's a damn fine smith so everybody lets it slide.

GM - A couple questions to clarify for planning:

1) When recruiting a Team, does a PCs Leadership score determine how many total levels s/he can recruit, or the highest level of an NPC s/he can recruit?
Example: Would Vors need a Leadership score of 1 to recruit a team of Laborers (5x Commoner 1) or a Leadership score of 5?

2) Does owning a Room count as having a "Base of Operations" to get a +2 bonus to the Leadership score (per the Feat), or does it need to be a more complete Building?
Example: Vors has CHA bonus -1, Level 1, so his Leadership score is 0. That means no teams until level 2, or unless he builds a "Base of Operations" to work out of.

3A) When using the "Earn Capital" Downtime Activity, will all bonuses from PC, Rooms, and Teams be added together, or rolled separately?
Example: Vors (Prof(Soldier) +6), has two teams of Soldiers (each +5 GP/Inf/Labor) and a Bunks (+8 GP/Labor). When earning GP, would he roll:
1 - (1d20+24)/10 (AVG = 3.4 GP)
or
2 - (1d20+6)/10 + (1d20+5)/10 + (1d20+5)/10 + (1d20+8)/10 (AVG = 6.4 GP)
or
3 - (1d20+6)/10 + (1d20+10)/10 + (1d20+8)/10 (AVG = 5.4 GP)?

3B) Will we default to /7 or /10 for rolls to Earn Capital?

These are the kinds of minutia I like to worry about up front before getting things going. Mostly, it means a lot of number tracking! Option 1 will definitely be the easiest. Thanks!

Submitting a 'Sunny' into the mix.

An Elven lass who operates or works on a fishing ship.

Gathering catches of the day to help keep people's healthy and fed.

And, if I can get the starting moneys together, will happily help move people around the coast. Possibly for a chance at joining in the adventure. (^_~)

Much cheers and a happy new year to all!

(^_^)

Working on an honest to god sage character. This seems like it should be fun. Question, as I am not building for adventuring do you mind if I start my character out a little older with the adjusted bonuses and penalties for the increased age category. Wanting to play that doddering old guy with real breadth of knowledge. May go an old bleachling gnome.

Silver Crusade

I actually changed it up a little bit from a human druid to a half giant druid, still with an owl companion who at 3rd level will have the archtype: Spirit Guide.

I got a little bored late last night.
I created a half-giant, arborling, half-elf druid I liked the giant the best just cuz hes half forest giant, so makes sense he would be trying to clean up the forest so to speak, as its his peoples home too.

I actually also made a Lunar Dragon whos building a city to study humans within. to test out more advanced downtime things.

I had initially created a 3PP Forest giant Noble that had shown up to to help out but. He came with 7 race levels of giant built in as well so was a tad bit OP, even for an NPC class with standard build values. Ive actually had a couple in campaigns ive run over the years but ya know :)

Hope ya all had a good new years.

Liberty's Edge

I'm still kind of mulling over what kind of character to bring. So many options with this kind of setup, I can't really choose. I'll lend my two cents to developing the background if desired and figure out a submission once we're a little further along.

I suppose I might be able to manage something... say, a Priest-class to run the local church? Maybe a reasonably liberal one that knows a lot about many different faiths, and provides some degree of guidance for all. Lemme see what I can work up...

(<_<)

Hmm, it is an ambitious idea. Could just all start posting downtime turns and rolling for random events. GM, you around?

Liberty's Edge

RL distractions? Happens to us all...

Likely so.

If others are interested in this, Klokk is recruiting for one based around the WotR AP.

Silver Crusade

A downtime twist on WotR

Mines open to the public now.

Feel free to check out the concept and roll something up.

Silver Crusade

If we don't hear from DM Dragon within the next week, I will nix my plan of running a NPC Class Campaign and set up everyone in either Kenabres or Dresden, it will be each players choice at 5th level.

Maybe your the only player in one of the two cities.

The Exchange

I'm down, but I don't have a character in society of sufficient level to make a good townsman/woman....I'd have to level up....but I'm still down for the rp side of it....how are we generating the individual buildings? Is it a stronghold builders guidebook or equivelant? Or are we just assuming things?
