129. I took a trip to the far realms. I brought something back. A part of my own twisted phyche. Its got tentacles, lots of tentacles.

130. This world is made of physical experiences, and from them I rip forth my eidolon. Just reach into yourself and let a part of you go.

131. Surrounded by death, it only makes sense to get something out of the deal. Calling spirits from the other world is easy. They all feel my pain and want to lash out.

Its a mind/body/soul thing with a horror twist, if that wasn't clear. Quick and dirty.

132.) The Eidolon is a faithful servant, who has served many masters before the summoner. Unfortunately, all of the Eidolon's previous masters ended up killed in some way by the Eidolon, either through bad luck or their own hubris. Or maybe the Eidolon's cursed. Who can say?

133.) To make the pact with an Eidolon, the summoner had to sacrifice their ability to feel an emotion, like joy or anger. The Eidolon feels nothing but that emotion now.

LOVE this thread!

134.) As a child the summoer had an imaginary friend. He was so vehemently insistant that his friend actually existed, that his family became worried that the child was insane. They tried all sorts of archaic and progressively more terrible pseudo-treatments on the child to get these "illusions" out of his head, but instead the more and more torturous acts only managed to make him grow hateful. They were more than surprised to one day see a creature looking just like what the child always described his friend to look like attacking them and brutally murdering them one by one.

146> Original - A multiclassed summoner/hungry ghost monk who allows his eidolon (which looks like a beautiful ghost) to "have her fun", then dismisses her so that he can easily execute the final blow, which is is always done in the style of the first attack performed by the eidolon that encounter.

147> Foster's Home - An elderly broodmaster con-woman whose day job is consulting with people who insist in the existence of their imaginary friends, summoning those creatures behind the "patient" while locking eyes with them, then forcing the eidolon to attack its "friend". "Protecting" the "patient" from this despicable horror of the mind, she holds up a "holy symbol" of a "forgotten god" (actually just a pair of lensless glasses with some dry macaroni taped around it) and dismisses it.

148> Foster's Home - An elderly halfling who is incredibly lazy, and thus summons a youthful version of herself to do all the dirty work (only to claim the credit herself).

149> Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy - A frequently-irritated broodmaster whose crafty eidolons are constantly annoying him and trying to trick him into going along with their schemes. He has a huge crush on #150.

150> Ed, Edd, 'n' Eddy - A very modern young broodmaster whose brutish eidolons have huge crushes on those of #149, which annoys her to no end. She is completely oblivious to #149's advances.

152. A young woman summons forth a demoness with skills in diplomacy to teach and help her rise her way to the top.

119: a teenage summoner's eidolon resembles a succubus without the life-leeching power, but the eidolon is incredibly shy and naive. Fill in the blanks for amusement.

Or: nerdy teenage boy creates "perfect" woman to get back at bullies. Hilarity ensues, but all in the name of science...Weird Science!

Also, has no one suggested TARDIS the teleporting eidolon yet??

153. Young summoner, orphaned under tragic circumstances, suffering from PTSD/trauma-induced amnesia, comes into her power and invokes hyper-idealized version of dead parent.

154. A synthesist who always wanted tattoos but never got the chance to get one. So when he calls forth his synth-suit it takes on the appearance of a number of intricate glowing tattoos along his body. Look at me now!

155. A synthesist who doesn't like human contact calls forth her synthesist armor and it takes on the appearance of a number of blades that burst out from under her skin. Don't touch me!

156. Lucy from Fairy Tail (celestial spirits)

157. Erza from Fairy Tail (synth, for armor "requip")

158. Order of the Blackened Denarius from Dresden Files (synth, possessed by fallen angels)

Necromancy but a good thread:

my current character lol

162: A person forced to confront an aspect of their own mind that they reject(apathy towards others, enjoying their more popular friends reliance on them, a predetermined fate, chance of being gay, whether or not they actually exist, excetera) after rejecting it they are attacked by the embodiment of those feelings or ideas until the eventually they except that it is part of them, but not all they are. Then embodiment then transforms to form their eidolon.

Answer!:
Persona 4, was kind of obvious when your examples are straight from the game. If we get a summoner with guns we're going to have to relive persona 3's summon method. That's a good shock.

163. I remember you. This eidolon resembles the long lost love of someone. Years ago they disappeared from their life. Only the summoner recognizes the eidolon and has faith that its their lover reborn. Its the ideal of the person who passed away, not the truth. It looks twisted and horrific to anyone other than the summoner.

Yeah but I REALLY wanted to make sure SOMEBODY got a virtual cookie...wait..cookies are bad on the internet...

Yeah, cookies make the apps load faster and let them give you daily sign in awards for some online games.
Sarcasm aside, it depends on what you use the internet for.
164: A summoner named Ernie or Prairie Dawn who has a monster named Cookie who will do anything for a cookie.

165. (blood-god disciple) a small, physically weak and socially awkward half-orc working in a flower shop gains the attention of his crush, an equally socially awkward co-worker after his eidolon, in the shape of a giant venus-flytrap-like plant manifests for the first time and becomes the talk of the town, making the shop incredibly successful, but as the eidolon grows larger and demands more and more blood, things take a dark turn...

Heh, Audrey 2. And now I have the song stuck in my head. Where did I put that movie...

Wow. I didn't realise this thread was still alive.

Good ideas here.

166. (Master Summoner) Eidolon is a manifestation of the darkness in the summoner's heart. Eidolon acts as the good hearted master summoner's mentor, teaching him about things he can summon and how to use them. Eidolon could also have skills in linguistics and serve as a translator between the summoner and his summons.

167. Blood God Disciple.

The summoner is a slightly deranged barber who hears a dark voice in his mind, the eidolon has an obsession with making "pies"

168. (master summoner) An optimistic youngster who sets out to become the best summoner in the world. His eidolon is a yellow rodent-like creature, with electric attacks, breat weapon and resistances. Whenever the summoner summons anything (be it the eidolon or a summon monster spell/spell-like) he exclaims the creature's name followed by an "I choose you!"

I need to come up with something, that is not a pop culture reference again some time.

171: As above, but without master summoner and with a 7-headed dragon.

172: An 8-limbed synthesitist who travels the world, looking for awesome swords to add to his collection.

173: It's unclear weather the eildon or the summoner is in control with this one...

174: A summoner with the arcane bloodline: Sylvain feat, leadership, boon companion, and as many leadership-boosting items as will fit. the Bear, eildon, and companion have crippling cases of sibling rivalry.

175: Look what followed me home! Can I keep it?

Okay, a challenge to the thread: How to do the Seven Faces of Dr Loa?

He never really knew his family, growing up on the streets. Had more than a bit of orcish blood in his veins, that much was clear, but who his family was he never learned. But he does know one thing - they made a deal, a long time ago.

The... thing started appearing in his dreams when he was young. It moved in shadows, eyes like red coals glowing in the dark. Shadow and flame, a predator from another world. It whispered to him of power, of the strength in his blood, and an ancient pact. It hungered. And it was a part of him. No one else could see it.

He could never escape it, no matter where he ran. It was there already, waiting for him in the shadows. Watching. Whispering secrets. He ran, got into crime and drugs. Would have gotten him killed, too. Cornered in a dark alley, a half-circle of blades all aimed at him. That's when it pounced. When it saved him. When it became real.

(That is the backstory of the PFS character I'm planning on playing soon - a barbarian/summoner who fights alongside his demonic eidolon. It only speaks Abyssal, and prefers to stay out of sight most of the time, only appearing when it has to.)

Shadow Lodge

When he reaches adolescence, this minor guardian is set free, and he must bind for himself a new, more powerful companion to wear his shadow as its body. (The Seventh Tower)

182. A pit fighter in a brutal magocracy, this summoner has the power to reach into his Dementia Space and summon nightmare creatures to battle for the crowd's amusement. A hallucinogenic smoke from a special censer enhances (or degrades) his mental state. (Magic: The Gathering - Torment)

191. Don't Make Me Angry (Sythesist, spends the vast majority of his/her time as a full caster in human form, relying on the Summon Monster class feature. When suitably upset, casts Summon Eidolon, transforming him or her into a murderbeast for 1 min/level)

192. Guidance from beyond (Master Summoner. Character's dead father has decided to stick around and teach him how to be a man. Eidolon has Skilled a bunch of times and no combat skills of note. Use Summon Monsters to fight)
