58. This requires the DMs approval and some rules tweaking. A party of summoners, each of whom has a particular elemental/nature focus. The can perform a special ritual to create an eidolon stronger than what they can produce individually. This combined eidolon has the powers of each of the others.

59. Summoners using magic from Thassilon. Their eidolons having abilities and forms based on the Sins.

60. Good versions of the Thassilonian summoners with eidolons based on Virtues.

61. (If the GM's OK with this, or if you're the GM) A Grindylow summoner has mastered control over an eldritch lovecraftian abomination from the plane of water.

62. A charlatan whose eidolon is built to resemble a devil in every detail (physically, but the creature has no devilish power), granting him an undisputed authority over a little village afraid of the "devil"'s terrible powers.

A middle-aged former sea captain, who channels his guilt and shame into summoning the figurehead of his long-lost ship.

It is his eternal disgrace that he did not meet his end during the horrible storm that claimed his ship.

His eidolon, being the beautiful maiden figurehead of the ship, still drips brine and trails splintered broken wood behind her while helping the captain try to set his own guilt aside through helping others.

A Paul Bunyan inspired summoner who uses an ax and has a Blue Ox eidolon. He uses enlarge person to maintain his larger-than-life myth.

65) A Monster hunter summoner that used to hunt with his father but accidentally got dad killed because he was seduced by a succubi. His eldion is in succubi's visage to remind him to be vigilant to his duty.

66) A Samsurian summoner that has made an eldion resembling a lover from a past life.

67) A Tiefling summoner that summons armor that gives her a more demonic appearance and power (Syth)

68) A Druid/Master Summoner that uses the Starlight, Moonlight, and Sunlight Summons feats along with a half power but very skilled small eldion that looks like a fairy dragon.

68. The summoner is a actually a small either gnome or little girl whose eidolon is an eye-patched combat loving lunatic with a jagged beat up sword. She rides around on his shoulder and they constantly get lost looking for people for him to fight.

69. An unofficial police who is looking for a mass murderer in silver living armor(Tsuguri). The man also owns a suit of living armor, although it's cursed and the bound between him and the armor (eidolon) enforce to him to follow the tenet of counterbalance of good and evil.

If he kills someone evil, he's required to kill someone good. If he murderers someone he loves, he'll have to slay one he loves.

69.) The summoner is a kyton cultist who modifies and mutilates his own body in disturbing ways to reflect his eidolon's evolutions. The eidolon itself is a biped and vaguely resembles a human, but has the appearance of being gruesomely disfigured from torture. At first glance, the summoner and his eidolon are nearly identical.

70. A Summoner with a personality disorder that causes him to have drastically different personalities each time he wakes up. His eidolon changes appearance to suit each personality. (The summoners memories and knowledge don't change, just personality. likewise the eidolons abilities don't change, just it's appearance).

71. Synthesist summoner. The eidolon is actually a devil, bound to the summoner as punishment for defying powerful devil lord. The summoner is actually the last of a line that served the devil lord, although the summoner is actually trying to use the bound devils powers to atone for his families sins.

72. Variant on 71. In this case the eidolon is an angel, bound to the summoner to learn humility while trying to turn the summoner , a sinner, onto the righteous path.

In both the devil and angel variants, the eidolon constantly whispers advice and admonishments to the summoner.

73. The eidolon takes the form of a mighty knight and the summoner his advisor/manservant. They wander from village to village playing the part of the virtuous knight or villainous blaggard, whichever gets them the most money.

74. A summoner with a large millipede-like Eidolon wearing several saddles. Together they provide public transport.

75. Broodmaster (but never has more than 2 eidolons). One takes the form a devil, the other an angel. They offer him conflicting advice constantly in extremes of the alignment they represent. They could be real outsiders or they could be representations of his internal mental turmoil.

76. A Master Summoner with an affinity for undead, having the Summon Skeleton feat and his eidolon having the Undead Appearance evolution.
(not very effective this one but looks cool)

77. A Synthesist summoner whose eidolon is the embodiment of the kingdom/land he's become lord of. It makes him look like a powerful knight but its appearance depends on the strength of his care for the land he's inherited. If he doesn't care, the knight looks ragged and run down, the stronger his loyalty/patriotism the more impressive the "knight".

Or the classic a monster summoner who partners with his eidolon to be the greatest summoner of them all, his eidolon then in later level evolves into a champion to save the fantasy world.

78. Broodmaster. A studious and ambitious girl, well-liked but eccentric and not taken seriously who decides to take on politics as a challenge to herself. She employs several different eidolons for the purposes of diplomacy, subterfuge, and assassination, while masterminding her plans from afar.

79. It's called an R2 unit. *beep beep boop reeoooooor*...
Watch your language!

80. I always thought the warbot from Stallone's Dredd movie would be a fun eidolon...

81. Speaking of pathfinder modern, I could see a K.I.T.T. eidolon
82. Or Dean Winchester and a Metallicar eidolon...

83. I call him oompa loompa. He's maxed out his singing skill.

84. Am I still to create the perfect system?
Kevin Flynn: Yeahhhhh...?

There was a thread somewhere where a multiclass rogue summoner would sneak into a place and steal stuff, hand it to the eidolon, dismiss the eidolon (given that the gm lets the eidolon's carried equpment poof out with it when it goes and bring it back with them when they return), but I also like the idea of

85. an eidolon that looks just like you, but if the gm doesnt allow them to poof out with the spoils, instead they just lead the authorities in the opposite direction while you get away... up to the limits of its range...

or even

86. An eidolon that looks very similar to a well known member of the thieve's guild so that they become the suspect instead of you...

87. A magically inclined goblin from Varisia eventually summoned an eidolon. He wanted his eidolon to strike fear into the longshanks. So after long minutes studying the ancient ruins left by the old longshanks he shaped his eidolon to look like one of the old longshanks all of the others feared: A Runelord! In this case namely Sorshen who in keeping with the old one's dastardly ways tricked the poor varisian goblin into learning to read. To this day it is his great secret and shame.

88. Za Warudo!!!!!!!

89) The summoner is a beastbrood tiefling and their eidolon is the reincarnation of the distant rakshasa ancestor that sired them. The eidolon aches to return to full power, and manipulates its progeny towards ends that will facilitate a better incarnation. The summoner themselves wishes to learn from the eidolon and rise to become a true rakshasa after this life.

90) Through some strange magic, this summoner and eidolon are trapped within each others bodies. The summoner's mind has difficulty adjusting to every evolution its new alien body must undergo, meanwhile the mind of the eidolon feels shackled in the body of a humanoid. So far both have been successful in acting as the other, and no one has yet noticed the difference. These two now share a goal of reversing the magic that has altered them.

Hmm how would you duplicate the Luggages ability to open to multiple extra dimensional spaces?

98. A Summoner with a thing for dragons. His eidolon is dragon shaped, his summons (elementals) are dragon shaped and eventually he takes the Dragon Disciple prc.

100. A synthetist/first world summoner dragon hatchling using her eidolon disguise to pass for a nymph.

101. I missed Fluffy so much that I figured out to bring him back from that farm upstate where he went. He sure changed a lot while he was there. Some sort of animal based eidolon formed from the soul of the family pet.

102. It's been with the family for generations, says something about one of my great to the nths and souls and the family heirs, never gcould get it all sorted out. Well at least it is some form of inheritance, although a castle would have been nicer. Any form will do but works best with a devilish sort of eidolon.

103. Those 'shrooms were something else, I'm still seeing that pink walrus. (hippie type who has an eildolon based on the spirit guide from his incidental spirit trip).

106. An "evil genius" Broodmaster who really only wants to be acknowledged by people as important. His "evil" schemes are creative but ultimately more inconveniencing than nefarious. Makes use of a lot of custom magic items of his own design. His eidolons are all small, nonthreatening looking, easily distracted humanoids that speak their own language. They "help" him in crafting or in a general servant/minion way.

A chosen of Lamashtu who births monsters. Always seems pregnant whenever her eidolon is not present. When she uses the summon monster ability all summoned creatures have fiendish template.

"For the night is dark and full of terrors"

Due to the "summoning method" would be far more suited to a more mature themed game.

Liberty's Edge

111. A person who always has a dog whistle, and blows on it to summon his eidolon, who slowly materializes throughout the blowing.

3 people marked this as a favorite.

112. A young summoner with a mechanical arm who, for some unknown reason, always calls himself an alchemist. His eidolon is his 'brother' encased in a suit of living armor, who actually died tragically in the same accident that cost him his own arm.

113. A synthesis summoner who calls forth a huge suit of armor that they 'pilot' to -insert motive here-.

114. A broodmaster summoner whose two eidolons look like giant cockroaches named Ralph and Rodney, who talk to him and sometimes break into song.

115. A custom centaur race, and the eidolon rides the player.
116. A small brood master who summons his/her own harem.
117. A brood master who summons his alternate personalities, when they are dismissed he reverts back to being crazy as all get out.

Liberty's Edge

118: A schizophrenic summoner whose eidolon is an exact duplicate of him and either speaks in complete harmony or finishes his sentences, and vice versa; they both "cast spells" simultaneously; hilarity and confusion ensue when the personalities diverge.

119: a teenage summoner's eidolon resembles a succubus without the life-leeching power, but the eidolon is incredibly shy and naive. Fill in the blanks for amusement.

120: a heretic evolutionist goes around making his eidolon impersonate well-known depictions of deities to mess with the faithfuls' heads, BECAUSE HE CAN.

121.) The Eidolon is in fact the Summoner from the Future. No one's really sure how it really happened, least of all the Eidolon, since he doesn't recall being summoned by his past self.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

122.) The Eidolon tends to be a big coward most of the time, only enticed into action by the summoner via its favorite thing, whether it's a beer, an apple, a Scooby Snack...

123. The eidolon in question had one previous master who had died under her care. Wandering as an Unfettered Eidolon in the guise of a beautiful girl, she was taken in by the generosity of a lone farmer. Deciding to share his bed for her temporary stay, she was shocked to learn that she was pregnant months after she had left. When her child was born she renewed her Summoners pact with him, promising this time she would not fail in her duty. This time her master was also the one thing she loved most in the world.
