Printable battlemaps and VT maps for Reign of Winter - The Snows of Summer

If you use these please leave a comment.
.JPG Preview = Small preview of the entire map. Lets you see the content before downloading the larger files.
PDF Battlemap = Suitable for printing and assembly on standard sized paper.
PNG High resolution = Exported map image at 200dpi .PNG images. These images will serve two purposes.
First - If someone wants to take the file to a print shop or kinkos they can be printed out on a large format printer and will print to scale at 1" per 5 foot for use with miniatures. That way you get one map without having to put the pdf together however this option can get expensive.
Second - If you want to use them for VT you can scale them down depending on the VT you are using. Most virtual tabletop programs tend to use maps at 50 or 100 pixels per grid square. Battlegrounds works best with maps that are 122 pixels per grid square (this ensures no pixelation even at full zoom). The images I will be uploading is at 200 pixels per grid so they will scale down to whatever you will need, just use a graphics program to re-size the images. I don't suggest using .JPG as they will loose a lot of clarity.

The maps are output at 200 dpi for large scale printing. You can open the image up in any image editor like paint, photoshop, etc. And resize the image by exactly 50% and then save it. That should scale it down to 100 dpi and it should work fine for online VT. It should also cut the file size in half.

Thank you for doing these. It really saves my group from my horrific art. But i have a quick question. im trying to upload one of your maps into my roll20 account, specifically the Lodge, but it keeps saying that it is too large, is there a way to shrink it down in file size?
I shrunk it down using photoshop, but I'm pretty sure you could use MS Paint to do the same thing. I recommend for all maps that you shrink it down to the number of squares x 70 pixels. It will make lining it up with the grid on roll20.net much easier.
Ex. Grid is 20x10. Resize it to 1400x700

All of you are welcome for the maps, I am working on Book 2 now and have started a WIP thread with what is completed. I also would like to thank all of you who have donated either by PayPal or by buying me goodies on my wishlist here on Pazio. The little bits here and there keep me motivated to keep producing quality maps for the community.

I just used the High Sentinel Lodge for my game and people really liked it. I printed out a mirror image of the rooms, cut them out and put them over each room with double sided tape so that each one could be revealed in turn.
Everybody liked them and so I'll have to get a PayPal account or check out your wishlist.
Thank you for making my game ever easier!

I wanted to thank you for these maps they are great.
And just an fyi for anyone using roll20, I have no issues importing them in and aligning them. If you can't seem to accept a square is a square is a square then maybe you should try setting the image to the correct dimension before you try to align it.

Firstly, these look fantastic and your work is definitely worthy of a donation. I was wondering if you could help me with using them first though...
I'm interested in printing the high resolution image but I'm not sure how to go about it.
What size paper should I be looking at to get the 1"=5' scale?
Do I need to resize the images to fit?

@Scotty
If you want to print them out and put them together then you need to use the PDF and not the high resolution VTT image. The PDF is already high resolution set to print to scale and requires standard sized 8.5 x 11 or A4 paper only. (I would suggest using a cheap photo paper of some kind, either (matte or gloss) Just pop in the number of sheets you need and hit print, then you can cut them out and tape together.
The VTT high resolution image is if you have access to a Wide Format printer of at least 32" in width or take the image to a Kinkos or somewhere that does and you can have it printed out as a whole map without cutting. The VTT image is already scaled at 200dpi and should print to scale with no adjustments needed on a wide format machine.

Thank you so much for doing these! I just donated (Dance Floor Heroes will be the name on the account).
I did notice that in the "Massacre Site" pdf, there are 2 pages that are nothing but grid (page 4 and page 8). Is this on purpose? I guess I don't understand what the two "blank" pages are for.
What happens is when it renders the PDF and the page next to it has a small shadow line that bleeds over into the other page so it gets included pretty much as a blank page in the PDF.
You can just ignore (Not print) those pages.
And thanks for the contribution.

Finally donated tonight after sending your Pale Tower maps to the printer. I already used your map for the High Sentinel Lodge. Thanks for putting so much effort into these!

About to start Reign of Winter in about 2 months and I'm starting to look for any supplement material here on the forums and came across this. Can't wait to use these maps on Roll20!
They are amazing! I too use these on Roll20 but I use them on a gaming table I built with a built in LCD TV and use that as a playing surface. It adds a whole new level of immersion. Thanks again Bill for these awesome maps!
