I blame SCTV Tim Hortons Shatner Cosmo for Canadians.
That's right, Cosmo manipulated Earth history to found Canada—beginning with the lost Viking "explorer", Ostog the Over-inebriated—using his stolen SEGMIST (Schadenfreude, Ennui, and General Misery In SpaceTime) X-7 Dimensionizer time booth (currently stuck in appearance as an office cubicle due to a damaged doppelgänger circuit).
{sigh} I blame Cosmo that no one believes me.

Not only that, but now that point in time is FIXED. Managed to swing by a few centuries later to clean things up a little, however, and overall I think it worked out well enough.
Oh, but I think I may have accidentally imprinted some of my behavioural patterns on the populace. If any Canadians out there find themselves apologizing profusely... I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. At least you're better behaved than the Americans.Drock11 |

Recently the place I worked at had my go for screenings as part of pre-employment health exams to get hired in full time and off temp status. While that is good while I was sitting in the hospital waiting room that was relatively full I looked around and saw a scary sight. I was the only person in the room that wasn't totally engrossed with a smart phone. All around me where people staring like zombies into them or doing their tappity taps and clickity clicks. It kind of put me at unease. I was hoping one of them would lift there head to at least look out the window or something so I wouldn't be the only one but nope. It was like I was in The Twilight Zone or Bizzaro World or maybe even Bizzaro world's version of the Twilight Zone. Am I the only person left that doesn't mess with those things all the time let alone not even own one?
The worst part about it is after getting home and thinking about it I realized that, no, those people were no longer the weird ones. I am the weird one now. Thanks a lot Cosmo. You somehow managed to turn us into the abnormal outcast now.
What the heck happened? I'm now terrified to pay attention to other people for fear of finding other ways the world has passed me by and probably not for the better if Cosmo is at work.

In order to make sure that there is plenty of madness and feverdreams in the world today, everyone should be aware that NYTimes is streaming the new Primus album here in it's entirety. This album is a complete cover of the 1971 Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.
The Candyman can.
Oh why hello Mr. Krinkle, how are you today?

I am with you...in even owning one of those things....but I doubt they are many of us still out there.

Ha, I'm a fairly tech savvy person, but after owning both an iPod and a Zune, I pretty much decided I really don't want a smart phone. I knew they were the devil and as someone who has trouble socializing anyway...
The only two features I like about smart phones are the ease of internet access for references and looking something up, and GPS.

I Blame Cosmo for the fact that work starts busy at the start of the week and slows down very much at the end of week that it is killing my hours.
I Blame Cosmo for not being able to go to sleep till around 6 AM the last two nights.
I Blame Cosmo for one of those being waken up after just going to sleep my my other cat (not Floyd) meowing her brains out pretty much right out my window.
And Finally I Blame Cosmo for the fact that I am still waiting for my shipping e-mail from Pazio for my subscription items.
Oh P.S. I Blame Cosmo for whatever Rysky find wrong with this post.

Ugh. Bearings were going out in the power steering pump on the car, despite only having 52K miles on it. Replaced it for $88, thankfully I could bumble through it myself instead of taking it somewhere for a couple hundred bucks or more.
I blame Cosmo for the lack of funds to buy more Paizo products.
I also blame Cosmo that I'm running out of ways to make rice and beans even moderately palatable.

Two words - Worcester Sauce :) Or Neat Gin. Up to you.

I blame Cosmo for Limeylongears not spelling Worcestershire Sauce correctly.
Oh, and people not asking the question for which they actually want an answer, but instead asking a vaguely related question and expecting me to be psychic. A suitable example for this audience being "how much damage do you do on a single attack?" and when answered replying "oh, what I needed to know was how the Vital Strike feat changes your damage if you have it."
Cosmo, you really need to stop that.

I blame Cosmo for my finding a woman who believes that there's no such thing as too much fake tan and who speaks like a Yorkshirized Madeleine Bassett fatally attractive.
EDIT: found illustrative link, though needs lisping turned up to 11
I also blame him for Chemlak not knowing the difference between Worcester Sauce and Worcestershire sauce.
I also blame him for there being no such thing as Worcester Sauce.
