Thanks for posting, GrumpyMel. I saw XCOM and Mount & Blade on your list so I thought I'd check out the others you have there. Looks very interesting, I may play a couple of those.
Wurm Online: This is my sandbox for the time being. If you like terraforming and are really into crafting you should check this game out. PFO is doing some similar things but certainly not all. It's a survival game and in a first person point of view.
Path of Exile: This is a great Diablo style game with a fantastic skill path tree that allows you to build your own class regardless of which character you start with. It's free to play and open beta at the moment. If you like these types of games I strongly suggest checking it out. It also has a cool barter system that does away with gold altogether. I'll probably ease off this one when Marvel Heroes releases.

I'm not seriously playing any Themepark MMO's at the moment. Kind of done all I care to do in them and waiting now for something that I will need to invest some serious time into and folks won't be hitting the level cap in the first week.

Played a beta of Neverwinter... Horrible, poor graphics at best. I thought NWN had better game play and graphics by far. If you try it, youll love the way the zombies walk toward you in the beginning. They dont really walk, its kinda weak.
Just picked up Heart of the Swarm. Will only last so long.
Would like to try the rebuilds of Baulders Gate, not sure what they changed if anything.
Video games being played actively:
1.)League of Legends(so glad they're finally getting around to redoing some of the older champions!)
2.)Path of Exile(think Diablo 2, using FFVII's materia system combined with FFX's exosphere - it's pretty amazing. Done by a indie game company. Looks like it will DESTROY the other games in the field)
3.)SC2's xpac(pretty awesome)
Also, playing a Drunken Master/Monk of the Four Winds in a PFRPG game where me and a few friends are introducing a bunch of n00bs to gaming. Has been pretty awesome so far. :)
Also, playing in a Hero System game set in a post-apocalyptic anime' themed world. Pretty epic so far.
How could I forget listing the weekly PF PnP game? Its what gives me back a little bit of my sanity each weekend :P
Im also thinking of picking up Planescape:Torment along with all the community mods and giving that shot. Never got around to playing it and after checking out Torment: Tides of Numenera, Wasteland 2 and Shadowrun Returns, Im hankering for an old style 2D RPG.

Cool, sounds like a good time. I think I will pick them up and get into the D&D mind frame.

I feared as much. After the horrid disappointment that Diablo III was for me I vowed to not buy Heart of the Swarm to teach Blizzard something about milking customers dry...
So far I hold.
@MicMan I was also incredibly disappointed with D3. Gear itemization was terrible and didn't make sense, the end-game was undeveloped, crafting was(still is?) terrible, and the functionality of the auction house left much to be desired.
However, from what my brother tells me, the game has new life, and is incredibly fun. It now has a clear focus for end-game content, you can advance your characters beyond simply finding better gear, auction house functionality is much better, and gear itemization is finally where it always should have been. I'm going to be playing it a bit the next few days when we visit our parents; I'll report back if you're at all interested.
I'm gonna give Wildstar a shot. It looks fun.

If you check out Advanced Tactics, be sure to hit up the Scenario bank...it's the real strength of the game...there are something like 200+ user designed scenario's, alot of them very good quality.

I wouldn't say so. I actually like titles that require thought and follow through. Or at least understanding of the mechanics to succeed in a playthrough. Personally I think a lot of games do too much hand-holding these days. The designs are meant to appeal to the least common denominator which makes for intelligent gameplay going by the wayside.
This is one of the reasons I play Red Orchestra as an FPS title, it's based on real ballistics model and mechanical behavior for the rifles. Hell the machineguns actually overheat and you can burn out your barrel.

After finishing 4.2 and countless farm runs I never found even one item that was better than the cheapest stuff in the AH and after asking my friends (who were in 4.4) if they wore even one item that they found themselves,ALL of the answered NO! Everything was bought from the AH...
I quit then, removed DIII from my PC and vowed to not play cash cow for Blizzard.

I'm mostly playing Crusader Kings II, which in my humble opinion sorely needs a Pathfinder Total Conversion mod to stand along side The Game of Thrones and Elder Scrolls (called Elder Kings) TC mods.
I will also be playing Heart of the Swarm soon, haven't had time to play it despite pre-ordering. No idea what I will be playing to occupy the year that will be remaining before EE, but I suspect my massive Steam backlog will be wittled down.

I'm playing and DMing some Pathfinder Society play by post games here on these very forums while I wait.I'm curious how that works, play by post. It seems that it would take a lot if time to run through a few rounds of actions. Would you have a link to where I can read this, and see how it is done?Yeah combat can take some time. I mean a game session that usually takes 4 hours ends up taking about 4 weeks (or less if people are active). It is a good, fun way to pass the time and still be playing Pathfinder, and not being limited to getting everyone on for a game night for 4+ hours straight. Also, it allows for a bit more Roleplay since you aren't trying to rush through a 4 hour time block to get it finished.
I was trying to put together a face-to-face game via Roll20, but couldn't get enough interest.

Ive also played some Endless Space... Good game overall, but the space battles are found lacking. No real control.
I just discovered Gun of Icarus Online, a multiplayer steampunk airship combat game.
Currently 75% off on Steam, plus the developers are really spiffy people.

I recently joined a Dresden Files RPG game, and in it I am playing a Taoist exorcist, so I started playing 9 Dragons to get a good feel for Wu-dang Wushu and Taoist philosophy. Personally I studied Hung Gar and Wing Chun styles IRL, as well as Shotokan Karate, Aikido and Okinawan Goju Ryu, so I have some RW experience, but never learned any Wu-dang (Wu Tang to those who don't know Chinese, the style favored by Taoists in general and their priests). Not a bad game - I was worried it might be as bad as Age of Wushu seems to be from the reports of beta testers of that game.
Still following the development of Rome 2: Total War with a keen interest! Can't wait to unleash my Celtic Hordes on Rome, and then my Carthaginian Empire to crush the upstart Romans! ;)

I'm playing Wizardry online recently. Lots of grind... but I like its different combat animation for each race. Also like it makes characters' size matter in weapon reach and passenge through obstacles.

Firefall implemented a good idea with the scout/call thumper/defend it line of gameplay. They lost it completely when there was nothing really interesting to build.

I might be persuaded to start up another one if there was interest. I could do another PFS First Steps almost immediately, could start up a Rise of the Runelords in a couple weeks after some prep. A Kingmaker one would be really fitting but I'm not familiar with the AP so it would take more prep time for me.
I'm likely going to start 1 or 2 Thronkeep ones after my current First steps are finished.
Currently Playing:
-SimCity 4: I think the only thing I've played more than this game is tabletop RPGs. After the SimCity 5 thing, I went back with renewed interest.
-Bioshock Infinite: Pretty fun game. No multiplayer, though, so I'm not sure how much I'll be playing once I finish it.
-Guild Wars 2: Though not very active currently, I still log on an irregular basis for some WvWvW.
-Crusader Kings II: Currently my favourite Grand Strategy, particularly with the expansions. Playing as the ruthless Af Stenkyrka family and in the process of proclaiming myself Emperor of Hispania (still working on getting an iberian relative so he can claim the title).
-Starcraft II: Every sunday afternoon I dedicate to ranked multiplayer along with three other friends. We're not particularly good, but we're pretty extactic that we managed to climb up to 1st place in the Gold League for the first time ever last week.
A little bit of SWTOR from time to time, at the urging of my sister-in-law. Sith Juggernaut is fun. I like playing tanks.
Otherwise most of my time is spent tinkering with stuff for my current Kingmaker game or my future Savage Tide and Crimson Throne games.

I got my Thornkeep copy from the Kickstarter delivered a few weeks ago, but I haven't had the time to read it. How is it looking?

I just realized that the old Age of Empires 2 HD ist 18 Euro on Steam and bought this for me and my son.
This was my first (an only) serious RTS and I ranked at around ELO2000 like 15(?) years ago. Never managed to do so in any of it's sequels let alone Starcraft.

I'd be interested in playing one. I've been gaming since forever, but my local group fell apart a few years ago and we were playing 3.5 and 4e. I have been pouring over Pathfinder due to PFO, but I haven't actually played it, so any campaign is fine, it's all new to me.
One thing I've noticed is that more has been changed from 3.5 than I first thought. A play by post seems like a great way to learn the lore better.

I just finished DRUIDSTONE: SECRETS OF MENHIR FOREST which is a great fantasy tactics game. Not quit as good as the BANNER SAGA trilogy, but still pretty fun if you want an XCOM with trolls and orcs. They do sail very close to the wind with the FINAL FANTASY homages, especially the music and the red-robed mages.
I just started SUBNAUTICA: BELOW ZERO. Finished the original a few weeks back and it's absolutely brilliant. Was going to give more time before getting into the sequel but decided to jump in now.
Elden Ring, the only shardbearer I have to beat before getting to the end game is, of course, Melania, Blade of Miquella.
Radahn was way easier than I thought though I was pretty over levelled when I faced him, blasted him with rotting breath and summoned EVERYONE I could.
Oh yes, he is very vulnerable to rot
