What with all the Lamplighter Stormwind fallacies running around in the past week, I figured I'd post ten questions that I would like you to answer from the perspective of your characters. By doing this, you are running an exercise that many fiction writers use to gain a better, more fully realised idea of their characters.

I don't give two hoots if you have a charisma or intelligence of 5, just have the answers ready to these questions and follow the PFS tenets and you're a great player in my book.

~ ~ ~

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Go crazy guys! Really interesting in hearing how people tackle these.

Grand Lodge 4/5

1. I suppose I was living a life of self-destruction in Goka. Amara took me out of all that. Put all my pent up energy to good use, and allowed me to really pursue the Legend I was born to be, heheh kehrk!

2. Kuro Po. These Inner Sea folks keep spelling Po as 'Poe', couldn't say why.

3. Parents were refugees from Kwan Lai. I don't like the sound of that place, so I spent most of my childhood in the slums of Goka. It's a tough place but wonderful if you're born with wits, kehrk. If you are enterprising, even a wasteland can make you rich!

4. I am always in red robes, with a flashy cap filled with feathers. If I am expected to meet with the local nobility I will change into a silken yukata, although this restricts my movements.

5. Mischief and dancing! Sword fights with strange creatures with nefarious plots. Using my magic to help my friends and confound my enemies. Learning new curse words in various languages *cackle*

6. Bullies. Tyrants and those that exploit people under them, particularly when their exploitation is racially motivated. In-fighting. Authority figures with big swords. Harpies, yuck.

7. Too many to list. Grok the armoured hulk, for hiding behind and being lectured at. Skerek the mage, as he has the strangest abilities to watch. Rigby the halfling is kin to me, although he never wants to swordfight.

8. I am kinder than most Tengu. I'll cut your purse but not your stomach. Amara Li tells me my hands are softer too, hrrrm. I am not a bloodthirsty bird, but my voacabulary seems to suggest that I am. Perhaps I have the soul of a halfling in the body of a tengu? I shall ask the Samsarans.

9. AXE BEAKS. THE WORST. Also, Pengalangs keep me up at night, although they are mildly less evil than axebeaks.

10. My lovely adamantine sword, Shimmerquill. It's worth more than my Shadow Lodge life insurance policy! It has beautiful rubies, and innate carvings and a polished scabbard and a nice tight grip and it goes 'swoosh' when I do my fighting dancing. It's essentially the best thing ever.

1. I was very young when I became a Pathfinder (16) – honestly, it was to try to find a direction. Although I had family connections, I didn't really have “family”, and the Pathfinder Society provided one. In time, I realized I could do “things that matter” within the context of… Pathfinding.

2. My father was of the minor line of a Taldan aristocratic family which had lost its lands and prestige; he had gone to Varisia to escape a sense of loss and find a new life. My mother was Varisian, an actress. So I have a Varisian name and a Taldan surname: Violetta d’Armand. Since I achieved one of my great goals – reclaiming my family’s title – I’ve added Countess du Plessis to my name. I’ll add that I’ve been considering, in view of some “changes”, calling myself The Azure Countess… if it’s not too pretentious.

3. I grew up in Varisia, and I cannot express how deep my love is for that land. It’s such a blend of ancient history, unique custom, fantastic, old cities, rustic, gorgeous countryside… and it has the most beautiful people on Golarion. Being Varisian, there’s always something you’ll love more than simply yourself; it’s very grounding, literally.

4. My appearance? Well, pretty striking. It’s easiest to simply repeat my profile description: “Lady Violetta d'Armand Countess du Plessis is, at her most obvious, a woman of extreme and obviously supernatural (she has blue skin) beauty. As chimerical as is her personality, her appearance - while always stunningly beautiful - can change multiple times even in a day, though always she evokes natural beauty: a clinging, gossamer gown of dewdrops and strands of silvery light, eyelashes dusted with tiny diamonds, a tiara of living wildflowers, a necklace of butterflies…”

5. Power, I must admit. Not political power, or wealth, but “personal” power. The strength to influence events, and even reality itself; the seduction of the arcane. I also love being loved.

6. I hate Cheliax with total, ferocious dedication. I hate their history with Varisia. When I returned to Taldor to reclaim my family’s title, it was in large measure to gain influence there which I could turn against Cheliax. I also, on a smaller level, hate – HATE – being ignored.

7. Funny, I’ve worked with so many. My favorite is an old Pathfinder, a witch, named Zachary; we work amazingly well together. He always acts like my servant, which is quite endearing, but he’s a dangerous foe to our enemies. Few can survive our coordinated attacks.

8. I’m human, but the blood of the First World flows in my veins. I’ll admit that gives me a quick temper and a rather chimerical nature. An “anger management problem”, they call it, but really, I’m just very, very spirited.

9. What do I fear? Really, I’ve been very careful to address my fears over my years as a Pathfinder. Sometimes I worry I may become very powerful, and lose sight of “the little things”. Power is awfully… tempting. That’s it, perhaps; I fear what I could become, if things went a certain way.

10. Well, my most valuable possession is my headband (36,000gp!)

Shadow Lodge 4/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

Me love a good fight! And father is Pathfinder. He all noble paladin. Me not like that. Me just like a good fight, so me break family tradition and go barbarian. But father already pay for entry in Pathfinders for me, and me figure that good way to find lotsa good fights, so me go with it.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Me Mash!!! That come from me battle cry: MASH CRUSH KILL DESTROY!!! But... me birth name is Reginald Bartholomew Brightsword VII. Me think nickname Mash fit me better. Long name is father.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Me grow up in Absalom, cause father was Pathfinder from Grand Lodge.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Me big, muscular human with blonde hair. Me look Ulfen. Me always wear armor and carry weapons, even at fancy parties. Especially at fancy parties. *grin*

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

See number 1. Me love a good fight.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Magic!!! Me hate fightin casty wizard types. Me develop Iron Will and get special cloak to protect from magic. Me ok with friends using magic, but only if me know them well.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Grandmaster Torch is me mentor. Me learn lot from him.

Me go on lotta missions with same friends - Slobmlin, Bitey, Chibiko, Lightheart, Kara Vadalis, Lore, and Cinna. Me trust them with me life. Lightheart, Bitey, Kara, and Lore be tough melee fighters. Me respect that. Cinna, Chibiko, and Slobmlin be casty magic types, but they me friends anyway. They heal me a lot, cause me get hurt in fights a lot. Kara is... umm... very pretty, and good at talkin' people into givin' us info and stuff, but only person me ever meet that dumber than me.

(OOC: This was our home PFS group that broke up when 3 of the 6 of us moved away a couple of months ago. In less than a year, we got all the way to level 13 together (including playing Eyes of the Ten). Bitey the Badger is technically a companion animal, but we often joke that he's the PC and Slobmlin is his companion elf. Lore and Kara are PCs of the same player. So it was just a 6 person group.)

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Race? Me pretty fast for a human. Me wear mithril breastplate that no slow me down.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Me not 'fraid of nothin!!! Me just don't like that casty magic stuff.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Me save da heads from evry dragon me ever kill, stuff em, and hang em on walls at home. Me have four of em so far.

(OOC: I have no idea if there's a PFS mechanic for this, but it's just fluff, so I figure nobody cares.)

Dark Archive 5/5 5/55/5

That's a great thread idea! I'll answer it in the character of the Viscountess Amarantha, Elven Bard 1/Kensai 10. Observe, Report, Decapitate!

1.

Spoiler:
Because Father always insisted that Pathfinders were the lowest scum Golarion had to offer. Plus, they finance my wardrobe quite adequately. Writing the occasional report is more than worth the opportunities provided.

2.

Spoiler:
If you absolutely must ask, I'm Amarantha Glinterkain, and I'm completely NOT the daughter of Augustus Glinterkain, noted Diviner and arcane scholar. Who told you that?

3.

Spoiler:
If given a choice, I'd endure all the horrid, horrid tortures of my family all over again if the alternative would mean leaving Taldor. I've seen the world: it's uncultured, uneducated, and intolerably covered in dirt. The savages out here believe all kinds of ridiculous things. Even if it means living under the rule of that cretin Stavian, I'd choose Taldor any day.

4.

Spoiler:
(OOC) Amarantha is a young, fiery-haired elven woman with imposing cheekbones and a dancer's stride. Thin lines of bright blue flame intertwined in calligraphic arcs trace her forearm and face; in long combats or before she has a chance to take her morning powder, they appear red. When adventuring, Amarantha wears a svelte black dress whose gossamer outer layers only partially conceal what seem to be intermittent bolts of lightning inside. Even in the densest jungle or the most fetid sewer, it seems to always remain spotless, tear-free, and gorgeous. When not adventuring, she wears an astonishing variety of Oppara's finest; she uses a disconcerting amount of her adventuring gains and accumulated favors to ensure that she never wears the same outfit twice.

5.

Spoiler:
Why, I believe it's readily apparent that I have a discerning eye for the finer things in life. But, I admit, the lure of the grand worlds beyond the confines of our plane has kept me adventuring for much longer than I'd have ever otherwise considered. And, despite what some of my less tactful traveling companions might say, I take absolutely no joy in the act of killing. The dancing is simply an efficient means of conserving momentum, and the "maniacal laughter" is just an unfortunate side affect of my spells' verbal components.

6.

Spoiler:
Nature. If I could just burn it all to the ground and replace it with more clean, glittering cities (nothing like that Hovel of Strangers), we'd all be so much better off. And, while we're at it, I certainly wouldn't mind being rid of scorpions. Or at least their venom. I could barely walk straight the last time I met one of their ilk.

7.

Spoiler:
*Voice dripping with venom* Linnae. That wanton, rag-clad b**** has crossed my path more times than I can count, and has never left me any better for it. Running around, thinking she's so attractive, completing missives from that dreaded Jacquo fellow that I'd intentionally tossed aside, being served by all those adorable little elementals... It's almost more than I can bear.

8.

Spoiler:
Oh, being an elf doesn't influence my views at all! Though I might occasionally rejoice at lacking the manifold faults of the lesser races, I bear this inherent superiority with the grace expected of a lady and absolutely never rub it in the face of those short-lives.

9.

Spoiler:
Fears? Why, have you even met me? What could a warrior like me possibly have to be afraid of? Name a beast, and I've slain it. Existential philosophies? Ha! I've seen the void, and I slew that too. *But after a successful Charm Person or a few strong drinks...* Do you... ever worry that we've made the wrong choice? That all those peasants living their short, meaningless lives really have something right? I mean, in between the burning and the dying and the running in terror, they seem so... happy. They should be miserable, yet they refuse to stop smiling. It's downright uncivil of them.

10.

Spoiler:
My most... treasured possession? What, do you want me to have some kind of locket with of picture of a far-off love? Or a dagger that belonged to my grandfather? Ha! Those sentiments are for the weak and the mortals. I protect all of my belongings equally; that is, I'll kill you if you take a single one. Wow, that's kind of a downer to end this on, huh? Ummmmm... Glory to Sarenrae? Down with Stavian? Oh: spay and neuter your Kitsune today!

Sovereign Court 4/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

To see the world! I like exploring! *nods enthusiastically*

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Umm... have you ever met anyone else named Yzarctihstab Garblenarf?

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I was born in the forests of northern Taldor, among my fellow gnomes and other fey. When I wandered from there, I ended up in the human lands of Taldor. I loved learning about all the nobles, with their politics and intrigue! It's so exciting to watch them compete to try and outdo each other! That's why I joined in! I hope to earn a noble title for myself some day, just to make the others jealous. *smiles*

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

I'm a short gnome with greyish skin and brown hair. People say my coloration is dull for a gnome, but I'm not bleached at all. I think my coloring comes from my connection to the rocks and dirt, which is where my magic comes from. (OOC: Sorcerer with Deep Earth bloodline)

I always wear the finest in Taldor fashions, but I sometimes get them in brighter colors than normal, just to make it more exciting. And hats! Every gnome needs lots of fancy hats!

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Exploring! Seeing new things! Hats! Politics! Intrigue! Meeting new people!

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

*speaking softly as if afraid of being overheard*Zombies. And... demons. And... and... *whispers and looks around nervously*basilisks.

This Pathfinder stuff can be frightening!

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I've worked with such a variety of other Pathfinders that I can't point to any specifically. Especially not the *looks sad and whispers*dead ones.

But I work well best with the big, tough, sword-wielding types. My magic sets them up to have an easier time killing things before they can kill us.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Just because I'm a gnome, and I sometimes talk fast, and I'm very curious, and I like exploring to see new places and meet new people, and I'm very sociable, and I'm not very strong, and I'm a sorcerer, and I like colorful clothing and hats... does that make me a stereotype???

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Err... I think I covered that in #6.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

I have a shiny new headband that makes me even friendlier than before! And I have this magic bag that lets me carry tons of gear, even though I'm a weak little gnome! And I just bought a new hat that's bright and colorful! And check out this shiny rock I found! And I found this great bakery in Absalom that makes the most delicious cake! And...

A good book, dark starlight nights under the desert sky, travel, and musty scrolls written in dead languages.

Stupid people, cold weather, being woken up at 2am for things that could wait for morning.

My sword. It was my father's, and his father's before him. It has been in my family for as far back as my clan's histories can trace.

I come from a very old Osirion clan.

Silver Crusade 5/5 5/55/55/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

The chronicles.

Growing up in a small village near of Promise was incredibly boring. A friend of mine got me hooked on reading some smuggled pathfinder chronicles, filled with adventure, excitement, and danger around every corner. Once every few months we'd pick mushrooms in the forest and trade them for a few well read, battered copies. If they were a year out of date we were lucky, but who cared?

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

What is this earth place?

(Doyles name makes a pun with his raptor,Conan which works on a few levels. Arthur conan Doyle wrote "The lost world". He also wrote sherlock holmes, and Doyle has an obscene perception score. Tagaur is a brand of watch: his father makes clocks)

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Hermea. And oh boy...

I don't know how i can say growing up there influenced me so much as NOT growing up there influenced you. The outside world is simply insane. Everyone is running around trying to get just a little bit extra for themselves instead of working together to get a lot for everyone: its like every crab in a bucket fighting to get out. People lie, cheat, steal, and even kill for a loaf of bread in the city while nobles are dining off gold plates. Half of absolom is underwater, people are dying from something as simple as DAMPNESS... and everyone walks b like its normal and there's nothing they can do.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

A small, pale skilled mouse of a man with brown hair, brown eyes, and overly large ears. (think a younger looking version of "Benny" from the mummy)

If I'm stalking through a forest i usually turn into a velociraptor and have someone put on my leaf armor barding.

For deserts i have some nice loose robes, but i'll probably turn into a lizard or something and give them to someone else.

For fancy parties I just got some pink silk robes that one of the other pathfinders thought would look nice on me.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Forests, especially glassy glades with a spring. Helping others. I know its crazy, but i really like puzzles and traps. It makes me feel like i'm in a real adventure, and there's something about the precision craftsmanship of dozens of minute, interlocking parts all working together that lets my mind shut out anything else.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Cruelty. Fellow pathfinders treating the things we come accross like their lives are worthless just because they don't speak common or have the "wrong" number of legs.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Anyone that can talk to outsi.. people for me. Really, someone asks you a question, you answer it honestly, and then they get mad at you.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Well, supposdly I'm supposed to have a better pedigree than the rest of you. I think it makes it easier to work with mechanicaly devices, because thats what my da does, and grandpa.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Killing people. Usually I can get someone back unless they're DEAD dead. Orcs and half orcs worry me because they look fine one second and the next.....*wrings his hands and trails off*

10. What is your most treasured possession?

*opens breeches* Calden Cayleans lost loincloth!

Liberty's Edge 1/5

1. I am a Pathfinder because my master commanded it. He feels that this arrangement makes it easier for him to keep eyes on me, be they his or those of his various minions.

2. My name? I am called Aurixen Kara-Koth. Aurixen is the name my mother gave me; Kara-Koth is the part added by my master. Translated from infernal, it means "Seeker of Chaos".

3. I was born in Cheliax. Because I am a Hin, that which the other races call a "halfling", I am also a slave, as are my mother and my half-sister. Presumably, my father is also a slave, but since I am the product of my master's breeding program, I will never know which of several Hin contributed to my birth.

I lived the life of the average slave until the day our master's caravan was beset by demons. The fearsome creatures chased me and finally trapped me beneath a wagon near the front of the line. In my panic, I curled into a ball and squeezed my eyes shut, wishing with all my might that some powerful spirit of good would swoop down and banish the loathsome monsters. I remember their screams growing fainter, and I remember opening my eyes to find that I could no longer see clearly. That was the first time my powers manifested, and my life was changed forever.

(OOC: life oracle with alignment channel feat)

Our master was not pleased at first, but he soon found a way to turn my transgression to his advantage. He quickly discerned that my powers would be a threat to any evil outsider, so he determined that Cheliax was the last place he wanted me. He made me sign a contract in blood; I was to join the Pathfinder Society and take any opportunity to destroy any demons I encountered in my travels, or the lives of my mother and sister would be forfeit.

4. I am a halfling female, and my head is shaven to highlight my master's mark, which he inscribed in the center of my forehead. My eyes are cloudy white. I wear traveller's robes, and there are silver shackles on my wrists. Each has a few links of silver chain attached, engraved with the terms of my contract.

5. I love my family, though they are currently lost to me.

6. I will not discuss my hatred; there are spies everywhere.

7. I work with whatever party I am assigned. I find it easier to remain apart from the others. It would place them in even greater danger for them to be known as my friends.

8. I am a halfling, yet I am not cheery, nor curious, nor chaotic, nor prone to playing tricks, nor particularly lucky. I am determined to preserve my family and to develop my powers to their fullest potential.

9. Soulless constructs often haunt my dreams. The only Pathfinders I watched die did so beneath the fists of a construct.

10. I have a ring braided from my mother's and sister's hair.

Silver Crusade 2/5

KestlerGunner wrote:
1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

The Society provides a means through which to offer protection to those who need it and judgment to those who deserve it. You might say I use the Society as my travel agency as I spread the purifying light of Iomedae around the world.

Quote:
2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

"Thomas" is a name I assumed upon starting my life in the Inner Sea. I keep my real name secret, so as to spare my family the shame of what I imply about their ancestry.

Quote:
3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I was born in Tian Xia, but spent my formative years on the run with my mother, eventually ending up somewhere in the Inner Sea region as a teenager when I was found by a wandering cleric of Iomedae as I mourned my recently-dead mother.

Quote:
4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

I have horns and a long, prehensile tail. When I get angry or otherwise emotionally charged, I kind of bulge as though I contained within me a creature too large for my skin and it's about to burst out.

I always wear a gleaming mithral breastplate, decorated with the mighty sword of Iomedae, whether I'm walking through a city or trudging through sewers or dungeons.

Quote:
5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Ending evil and protecting the meek.

Quote:
6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Anything that's evil by definition, especially oni.

Quote:
7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Actually, I try to be as self-reliant as possible. I expect my teammates to do the same, though of course I try to work as a member of a team as much as possible - I just know better than to rely on it.

I do have a mentor, the man who found me when my mother died and brought me under his wing to become a fellow cleric.

Quote:
8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I am a lawful good tiefling. As such, I have little patience for those who willingly choose a life of evil. I literally have the blood of evil incarnate flowing through my veins, and prejudicial expectations on top of that, and yet still chose to be good. Some random human who pledged himself to evil just for power will get little sympathy from me.

Quote:
9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

I try to keep a healthy fear of the many dangers a Pathfinder encounters (lest I get sloppy and get myself or my comrades killed), but the courage to face one's fears is pretty central to being a cleric of Iomedae.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Possessions are not treasures. People and their memories are.

The Exchange 5/5

I (the player) have a dozen PCs... even the 1st level guy I have not played can answer these questions.

I'm not sure what that says about me though...

Dark Archive 4/5

Who are you and why are you asking such personal questions? You'll get no answers from me!

(OOC: Assuming Azkadellia fails a will save vs Charm Person. Then she gets a second save because she's so paranoid, and answering personal questions is so totally against her nature, so she'd have to fail that one, too, before answering these questions honestly.)

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

Power, plain and simple. The same reason I joined the ruffians who dominate my native Riddleport and are known as the Sczarni faction of the Pathfinder Society. I have power flowing through me in the form of magical energy, but there's also much power in having a large network of people who owe you favors.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

OOC: It's an obscure one, but this name does come from pop culture. The Sci Fi Channel did a miniseries a few years ago called Tin Man, loosely based on The Wizard of Oz. Azkadellia was the name of their version of the Wicked Witch of the West. In that version, the winged monkeys were tattoos that came out of her cleavage when she wanted to use them. When I first saw the Tattooed Sorcerer archetype, that TV character was the first thing I thought of. I wanted to do a borderline evil PC anyway, as opposed to most of my PCs that lean good. So I partially based her, especially her name and appearance, on that TV villain.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I am from Riddleport, the city of scumbags. I might not like my home town very much, but I will say that it taught me self-reliance, and that nobody can be trusted. Which makes me wonder why I'm telling you all this.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

I'm a beautiful human woman, and I dress to impress, in beautiful dresses that emphasize my best features. I find it's easier to manipulate people that way. I've sometimes heard my fellow Pathfinders make comments like "She's going adventuring in that?" when they think they're out of earshot, but I don't care. Like my magic and my dagger, I consider my image another weapon, but one that's usually only wielded in social situations.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Power. Weren't you paying attention to my answer to the first question? I was powerless as a child, the victim of an abusive mother before I was thankfully orphaned, then practically enslaved by a man who underpaid me to be a barmaid and made me think I was lucky to have the work. When the magic erupted from my body, I swore I'd never be powerless again. I've worked since that day to become as powerful as possible, in every way.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

People. All of them. I'd never admit that publicly, but... why am I telling you this?

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I rely on no one but myself.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I'm not entirely certain if I'm 100% human. I'm still trying to figure out where the magical power within me comes from, but I'm starting to suspect I may have fey blood in my ancestry. Given the fact that the whore who gave birth to me didn't even know who my father was, anything's possible.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

As I said earlier, I will never be powerless again!

10. What is your most treasured possession?

The magic within me, which makes me a sorceress. I've intentionally nurtured it, studied the Varisian art of putting tattoos on my skin for greater power, and I intend to eventually be the most powerful mage in all of Golarion!

(OOC: Azkadellia's alignment is currently true Neutral, but I think of her as "Neutral Evil waiting to happen". She plays along with society's rules and doesn't do anything overtly evil for now, but only because she's biding her time until she's powerful enough to do whatever she wants. Her power will corrupt her eventually, but she's smart enough not to let it happen until she gets really powerful.)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

OOC and unrelated to this PC: I really like this thread, though I would have done slightly different questions. But I'm having fun posting in character as my PCs. This is my 3rd one so far to respond to this thread. I'll eventually answer as all 10 of my PCs, though not necessarily before I create an 11th, which I already have an idea for.

Sovereign Court 4/5 5/5 ** Venture-Lieutenant, West Virginia—Charleston

Alain Falaviel, Gnomish Sorcerer:

1. Why are you a Pathfinder? Two reasons: Gnomes, of course, always need to seek out new experiences - what better way than through being a Pathfinder? Also, my parents were adventurers, so adventuring is in my blood. If I can find a steady source of these interesting adventures so that I don't have to do all the boring mucking about looking for them, all the better.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture? I have never heard of another Alain Falaviel. Sadly, I did discover that there is another Alain in the Pathfinder Society. (OOC: Named him before I found out about the Iconic.)

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you? I can't really say that I grew up in any specific nation. My parents were adventurers and travellers, and I moved around a great deal. I did spend some time in the jungles of Valashmai, where my parents were investigating a particularly interesting set of ruins.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities? I stand roughly 3'3", with purple skin and green hair. Generally, I prefer to wear fine clothing - an adventurer never knows when they will be called upon for a diplomatic mission. Even in swamps or dungeons, this serves me well - any stains can be taken care of through a simple Prestidigitation spell.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count) PUNS. I am a notorious punster and am attempting to gain a reputation as a stand-up comic in Absalom!

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count) Boring people and brutes who insist on running into every situation with swords drawn.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival? I have traditionally been a bit of a loner - there are a number of Pathfinders that I have adventured with, but I have yet to develop any strong connections with any of them. I am not opposed to it, but it is so rare to find a Pathfinder who understands Gnomish culture and sensibilities.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu? I wouldn't say that I am a stereotype. Certainly, my Gnomish heritage does dictate that I have a certain curiosity, but that curiosity is tempered with self-preservation. My parents taught me from an early age that you can't examine those fascinating runes if you happen to die on the way.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries? I do worry about the future of the Pathfinder Society. I am an ardent supporter of Grandmaster Torch, and I fear that the Society is beginning to send its members into situations for which they are unprepared.

10. What is your most treasured possession? I tend to not worry about worldly posessions a great deal - they just bog me down. If I had to name anything, it would likely be my Scroll Box, which I wear attached to my belt. There is nothing like having a library of spells at your fingertips. I do not consider my thrush familiar, Astor, to be a posession - he is a companion.

Edwin LeBlanc, Half-human (OOC: Half-orc) Cleric of Shelyn:

1. Why are you a Pathfinder? To prove to the world that us Half-humans can be accomplished for their mental acumen and are not merely semi-sentient muscles.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture? My name was given to me by my Taldan parents, who wanted to ensure that I had a refined name which I could be proud of.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you? I am, of course, a Taldan first and foremost. Its culture and history give me something to aspire towards, and I am never for want of pleasant company.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities? I am about 7 feet tall, with slightly green skin and with an aristocratic face rarely seen in members of my race. I generally wear a monocle along with whatever happens to be fashionable at the time.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count) Everybody. My diety requires me to care deeply for every living creature, which is why I flatly refuse to eat meat.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count) Racist bigots who insist on focusing on the orcish half of my lineage. I am a HALF-HUMAN! Why does everybody have to focus on the Orc half?!

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival? I have not yet engaged in my first Pathfinder mission, but I look forward to meeting other Pathfinders. My experience to date has largely been spent studying in the library with a particularly fascinating elf. He doesn't seem to quite be all there, but I do always feel as if I have learned something after speaking to him.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu? I should say that I am not a stereotype of my race! How dare you suggest such! Obviously, you are one of those disgusting buffoons who would judge me based on my heritage rather than my abilities. Fie upon thee! I assure you, sir, that I shall write a most scathing letter to the editor about this encounter!

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries? I fear only that others would judge me without knowing me.

10. What is your most treasured possession? I never go anywehre without my holy symbol or whatever interesting item of literature I am currently devouring.

Sczarni 1/5

You realize it'll take at least a full bottle of rum before I even begin to answer your questions truthfully, don't you? But, I see that you're buying, so...

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

I enjoy traveling, exploring, and finding interesting treasure. Being in the Society means that they actually foot the bill for this, and I get to keep some of the more interesting treasures.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

No, though the name by which Pathfinders know me is, of course, an alias -- I took a name which fits my chosen profession of swashbuckler far better.

My sister, the goody-two-shoes paladin Catraoine Becket, has kept our surname, and her name is indeed based on a character from popular culture (Kate Beckett, from Castle).

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I grew up in Varisia. Yes, there are all sorts of stereotypes about untrustworthy Varisians. But, you can trust me, sweetheart. Would I lie to you? :-)

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

I'm a stunningly attractive female half-elf, as you can see. If I'm not expecting combat, I wear a blousy shirt, tights, thigh-high boots, and a tricorn hat, with a rapier and a short sword at my hips. If I'm on an adventure, I wear a mithral chain shirt.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

I love being at sea. I love my ship. I love carousing, flirting, and showing off -- and looking good while doing all of the above.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Being stuck on land for extended periods of time. Sewers (why do we always wind up in the sewers?). Sahuagin. Law-and-order types. My work with the Society has led me to have a pretty strong dislike of dwarves.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Captain Ramsey is one of the few I've met who I trust at all. He also knows why I dislike dwarves so much.

My idiot sister Catraoine is a paladin of Iomedae (::shudder::), and she's also a Pathfinder. I suppose you'd consider us to be rivals, but, thankfully, the Society has never assigned us together -- perhaps they know better. {Or, more likely, it's because both of them are my PCs. :-D }

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I hear that half-elves tend to feel like they don't have a place in the world where they really fit. That's not me -- I know where I fit, and that's at sea, in command of my own ship, and free to do whatever I want to do.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

If I actually answer this honestly, I think it's dying again. I've been dead once, and avoiding having that happen again probably takes up more of my conscious thought than it should. It's hard to feel free when you're excessively worried about dying, after all.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

That's an easy one. My ship, the Stingray. She's my home, my baby, and the one thing on Golarion I really trust.

I have studied what little writings the Society library has on this distant planet Earth and its culture, and I have never seen any references to anyone with my name there.

KestlerGunner wrote:

I was born in Cheliax, as a slave, which is why I hate that nation and slavery so much. When I was 9 years old, I was freed and brought to Absalom by Dinarek LaDrock, a Pathfinder based out of the Grand Lodge in Absalom. While he treated me as a son, and provided me with food and shelter, he was frequently away on Society missions. So I spent most of the next few years in Absalom working as a valet for any Pathfinder who would provide me with any sort of training as payment, even before entering the official Pathfinder training. This led me to have a wildly varied education, learning about swordplay, archery, magic, music, and a wide variety of other subjects.

KestlerGunner wrote:

I'm a teenage human, decent looking, I guess. Some people say I look Chelaxian, which bugs me given how much I hate the nation where I was born.

I wear a chain shirt, buckler, sword, and longbow when adventuring. But I know to wear nicer looking, loose fitting clothing over my armor and leave the buckler at home when I'm in more diplomatic situations, compared to wandering the sewers or wilderness on an adventure.

Dinarek LaDrock is a Pathfinder from Andoran who freed me from slavery and brought me to Absalom. He's been like a father to me, which is why I took his last name to honor him. (OOC: NPC invented as part of his back story, not an actual character)

Humans are so varied that there really aren't any stereotypes, are there?

Though I'm pretty much a bard in my training, I'm not stereotypical for that, either. I tell stories and give speeches to inspire my comrades in battle, but I don't go around singing all the time like many bards, though I did pick up some musical skill as part of my upbringing.

I mostly think of myself as a jack of all trades. I can use a sword, bow, magic, talk to people diplomatically, or just provide information from my book learning, depending on what the situation calls for. But I've tried to intentionally train more with a bow than other combat styles.

KestlerGunner wrote:

Aram bin Kaleel, Pathfinder
Why are you a Pathfinder? "I became a Pathfinder because as a boy, I read of the exploits of Durvin Gest, one of the first Pathfinders referenced in the Chronicles. His ability to tackle any situation was something I sought to emulate as a youth, and when I came of age I left Katheer to enter my training at the Grand Lodge as an Initiate."

Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?"While unfamiliar with the mythology of the elemental planes, I can say that my family name, Kaleel, has a long and proud history among the merchant princes of my homeland, a history I have ended by leaving the family business to become a Pathfinder."

Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you? "I grew up in the great city of Katheer in the Satrapy of Qadira, part of the Kellish Empire. There I learned that I was not cut out for the cutthroat world of political intrigue that was the marketplace. I came looking for a place where people followed a code of conduct that was not solely based upon profits or prophets."

What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities? "Having trained as a dervish in the service of the Dawnflower, I wear a blue-and-yellow tunic and cloak, and a distinctive headscarf with the emblems of Sarenrae upon it. The traditional skirt-like garment of the dervish works in warm weather, but in colder climes I will add fir-lined breeches out of necessity. When going into battle, I wear my leather armor under this outfit."

What do you love? "I love the sense of discovery that comes with exploring new places and uncovering lost knowledge. I love my goddess, who provides heat and light and brings peace. I have come to love Varisian cuisine, which differs greatly from my own cooking - in particular, the sweet pastry buns one can buy at roadside carts or Varisian camps."

What do you hate? "I hate those who take advantage of the downtrodden, the less fortunate, and those unable to defend themselves. I hate those who would use trade as a weapon and the marketplace as a battlefield. But mostly, I hate an Aspis Consortium agent named Kafar and his sidekick Nefti, who will both rue the day I invoke my judgement upon them."

Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival? "I often find myself assigned to different teams of Pathfinders when in the field, and so I cannot count upon a particular teammate at all times. This has taught me self-reliance. However, I have in the past worked well with fellow Sarenite Garrick the Wise, a gnome wizard by the name of Argus Tallowhand, and Efrafa Talion, a powerful fighter who shares my interest in being prepared. Until recently, I would have listed Tallos the half-orc amongst that list, however, I have recently learned that he does not think as highly of me as I do of him. I don't consider him a rival, though."

How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu? "The typical Qadiran seems to have a "holier-than-thou" attitude, but I try to avoid this. (Whether I succeed is another matter.) I have learned that few racial stereotypes apply to my fellow Pathfinders, as our years of training at our multicultural Grand Lodge have broadened most Pathfinders' perspectives. I cling to the traditional Qadiran lifestyle and holidays, as a way of maintaining a personal connection to the Dawnflower."

What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries? "My greatest fear right now is not for myself, but for our Society. I fear we are becoming a private army for certain Venture-Captains to improve their own positions and influence. The Pathfinder Society has been my dream and my ambition for as long as I can remember, and now that I have finally joined their ranks, I see that the modern reality is a far cry from the early history I have read of. I also confess to having an unhealthy opinion of spiders, insects, and generally anything which has more limbs that I do."

What is your most treasured possession? "My pendant, which was given to me by my grandfather just before I left home. It is a simple affair, but gives me hope that my family has not entirely forsaken me."

KestlerGunner: I'm not sure why this goal, an out-of-character way to encourage a specific type of playing, is OK, but my in-game version is drawing your ire? I don't think the Lamplighters are a "fallacy"... if you don't like them, then don't join them. Make your own group. Or don't. If you like to just do damage, good for you! A few reasons.

First, he's not implying that anyone that deviates from some VERY specific build requirements is not a real pathfinder.

Secondly, this can do nothing BUT add to a character. Role+roll playing is not a zero sum game. One does not have to come at the expense of another. Nothing here will make a character any worse at doing their jobs. Trying to use a fighter as a diplomat will.

third, this isn't specific its incredibly general character building 101.

Any character of any class can answer these questions just as easily as any other. Question 2 might be a little derogatory towards the way some people name their characters but thats it.

The requirements were relaxed in the new version that nobody seems to have paid attention to because it was in the old thread. They are still a bit restrictive, but I really don't think it's his intent to be elitist - rather to encourage well-rounded characters.

However, I like these questions and I like the Lamplighters too. I had suggested in the Lamplighter thread that perhaps Lamplighters should just be characters who could answer a similar set of questions on request. Any discussion of the Lamplighters, though, should go in the Lamplighter thread.

Silver Crusade 4/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

I am Catherine Elizabeth Cassandra Brightsword, daughter of Sir Reginald Bartholomew Brightsword VI, paladin of Iomedae, and I have taken up arms as the seventh consecutive generation of paladins in my family. Like my father, I work with the Pathfinder Society to travel the world battling against the forces of darkness, smiting evil wherever it may hide. Also like him, I am a member of the Silver Crusade to bring the other Pathfinders to their senses, so they will abandon their greedy, self serving ways, and dedicate the full strength of the Society towards ending evil in this world.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

I don't know what you're talking about.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

My father is a Pathfinder based in Absalom, so I grew up there. While I'm most comfortable in the big city, I have been fully trained in how to survive in the wilderness. I just haven't actually had to do that yet.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

As you can see, I look somewhat Ulfen, with my blonde hair and fair skin, though I'm certainly prettier than those northern barbarians. I carry the weapons and armor of a knight, emblazoned with the symbol of almighty Iomedae, wherever I go. Though now that you mention it, I guess it could get kinda hot wearing armor in a desert. I'll have to see how that goes if I ever visit one.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Smiting evil!

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Evil!

And people who think I'm not qualified to go out and smite evil just because I'm a pretty girl.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I've only been on one Pathfinder mission so far, so I haven't worked with other Pathfinders very much yet.

As I mentioned, my father is a Pathfinder. Even though he wanted a son to carry on the family tradition as the next generation of paladins, he gave up on that after having 6 daughters in a row, and I began my training. I will show him that I can smite evil just as well as any man. Especially now that my brother has rejected our family and his birthright and become a... a... BARBARIAN!!!

OOC: See the 4th post in this thread, written as Catherine's younger brother.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Well, I'm certainly prettier than most other humans. But I don't see how my race influences my views. Now goblins, they're influenced by their race. I had to work with three of them on my first mission, and it was just awful!

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

I follow the righteous path of Iomedae, so I have nothing to fear.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

My family heritage. I come from a noble line of holy knights, first serving Aroden as paladins, and more recently serving Iomedae, and I'm proud to carry on that tradition.

Unlike my brother.

I lived in Alkenstar for a few years while a few doctors and wizards looked at my "interesting case," but I realized they were gettin' nowhere and joined the Society to starting fixin' my own problem. As for influence, nobody's ever surprised to hear I'm from Alkenstar, so take that however you want.

See the purple hair? That's its natural color, and it's why the wizards all figured I was altered by some, whatchacall, primal magic release or something. I tend to keep it covered with a wig when I'm on a mission or out in public. It's the only outward sign I'm not normal, although I can feel other things are wrong, like that I used to be taller. As for clothes, my adventurin' gear is usually a simple blouse and a long ridin' skirt with boots. Don't need much changin' things around dependin' on where I'm headed, except colors. I just got myself a new breastplate that's a lot less restrictive than the old one, and for the next formal occasion I've got a very nice gown that...well, you'll just have to hope you go to the same party to find out.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Hate to break it to you, but treasure and power is exactly what I'm after. Nobody's been able to reverse whatever happened to me, or fix my memory, not even here in Absalom. I'm with the Pathfinder Society because I figure that I'll eventually come across an artifact that will fix things, or that my own magic will grow powerful enough to do what the magic of others' can't. In the meantime, I enjoy a good hike, and I enjoy being able to get most people to do what I want if I take a little effort to play nice. Bein' able to throw primal magic blasts is pretty neat, too.

Quote:
6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Let me think for a minute...undead, goblins, sewers, cold places, hot places, fairies, imps, spiders, evil clerics, idiot wizards who are more interested in their patients than their patients' problems, Pathfinders who expect me to heal them, Pathfinders who won't stop talkin', Pathfinders who don't know what "subtlety" means, and missions that involve any of the above. Oh, and Pathfinders that ask a lot of personal questions. I did mention you owe me a favor for this, right?

Quote:
7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I'm not really lookin' to stay here long-term. There's a few people I end up spendin' a lot of time with between missions, swappin' tales and intel. There's also a ranger who's been assigned on several of the same missions I get recently who's not bad in a fight. Doesn't really keep his eyes where they belong, though.

Quote:
8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Well, since I can't be entirely sure I used to be human before I lost my memory, I don't think I can answer that one. I'm human enough, I reckon.

Quote:
9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Well, I sometimes worry that there's something important in my past I can't remember any more, but nothin' I can do about that until I fix it. Not much else scares me, although there's a lot I find mighty irritatin' to deal with, like I mentioned earlier.

Quote:
10. What is your most treasured possession?

Well, there's my dog. I don't take him on missions, but he was with me when I was found in the Wastes. After what happened to me, I wonder if he was somethin' or somebody else too. Acts like a normal dog, and nobody's seen anythin' to say he's anythin' else.

Hey, that's enough! Don't know how you managed to get that much outta me, but it'll take more than a couple of drinks to make up for it. And keep it under your hat, or you'll be regrettin' it.

I'll respond as Eldarius of Thassilon a Thassalonian War Mage of the 3rd Legion of Xin-Barakhan who was released from stasis during an earthqake near The Old Light in Sandpoint. - since I cant change my name on the boards.

1. Why are you a Pathfinder? I have become a Pathfinder because this is an organization that could help me regain some of the lost treasures of Thassilon. Through my insistance the Society is now focused on the lands once known as Thassilon and with their help I can raise some semblance of a New Thassilon in this region.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture? Nope its ancient persian

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you? I grew up in Xin-Barakhan. It influenced me to become the best War Mage so that I may once day be Runelord of Wrath! Alas the nation is now gone mostly swept under the ocean.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities? I am a short olive-skinned man with violet eyes and black hair tied in a ponytail. I have high arching eyebrows that looks like im always surprised at something.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count) I love to find the artifacts of Thassilon and master those magics whic i long forgotten due to the stasis. I especially am enamored with the Therassic Spire in Kaer Maga which was active even in my time 10,000 years ago.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count) Those that destroy knowledge because of its supposed evil.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival? No so far they have all disappointed me. However some shield monke...err.. armored allies are always good to have around.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu? I am Azlanti of Thassalonian descent! an heir to the empire of Humanity!!!!

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries? I am afraid that my Runelord Alaznist or her appprentices still survive to this day, that may hinder my ascension to becoming a Runelord.

10. What is your most treasured possession? My sihedron medallion, which serves as a symbol of ancient Thassilon and the Goddess Lissala, may her runes favor me.

Liberty's Edge 4/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

To earn fame, respect, and fortune for proving what a skilled swordsman I am, while carrying out the orders of the Satrap and spreading the word of the Dawnflower.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

OOC: He's a halfling from Qadira and his name is the Arabic word for "short". :)

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I am a true Qadiran, but not a merchant. The dervish swordsmen of the desert are honored and respected warriors. I grew up wanting to be one of them, despite the prejudices that a halfling couldn't succeed with a sword. So I trained hard to eventually earn my way into the warrior society.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

As you can see, I am an average sized halfling, with brown hair covered by my turban. I wear loose fitting clothing, similar to what is commonly worn by all Qadirans in the desert. I have armor underneath, and two scimitars on my belt, though I only use one at a time. The second is merely a backup weapon.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

The pure artistry of true swordsmanship. Skill with a sword isn't dictated by how hard you can swing a large chunk of metal. It's the graceful, artistic maneuvers, as if the man is dancing with his sword and his foe. This is true swordsmanship.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Being underestimated as a swordsman because of my size. A halfling can be a successful warrior!

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I have not been adventuring long enough to have traveled extensively with any particular Pathfinders. But all I've traveled with have earned my respect.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I am the opposite of what many expect of me. They expect a jovial halfling, while I am a serious warrior. They hear I have training as a rogue, and think me a thief! Nothing could be further from the truth. I merely use tactics that are sometimes common among thieves, because striking at foes unexpectedly makes one more effective in battle.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

The light of the Dawnflower shines in my path, so I know I have nothing to fear.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

This scimitar. Forged by the finest dwarven artisans. Enchanted by a Qadiran wizard. It is a work of art, and I am honored to wield it in battle.

OOC: For anyone confused by the description, Qassir is a halfling rogue with a one level dip in Dawnflower Dervish bard. He'll be going Halfling Opportunist prestige class once he hits level 6.

Silver Crusade 5/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

Because this is an organization of misfits, and I more than qualify.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

I have a random name intentionally chosen to make no sense for a half-orc, and no surname. Does that count?

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Absalom; poorly.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

6'8", green/brown mottled skin, big ol' tusks, wiry black hair. Immaculately groomed, pristine white tabard of Abadar over perfectly polished full plate, massive earthbreaker slung over one shoulder at all times, shining wayfinder displayed prominently on my chest.

When we're going undercover, I take off the wayfinder. Usually.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Righteousness. Or whatever it's called.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Whatever the other thing is.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I work with the people I'm told to work with. Our partnerships tend to be transient, so I see no point in forging bonds.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Meh, I'm a redemption story so cliché that nobody actually does it anymore.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Screwing up with Abadar before I'm lucky enough to die in combat.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

My holy symbol, obvii.

Grand Lodge 5/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

I got bored with sailing around as a merchant, and I decided to wander around as an itinerant grave robber instead. I mean tomb raider. I mean archaeologist! You know what I mean.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Yes. My given name, and the format of my surname, convey the dominance of my Ulfen heritage, at least in the family that chose my name. My surname itself honors my father, who you'll probably notice was not Ulfen. But that's how we do it in my family.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

The world is my oyster, friends. I have been damn near everywhere.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Ulfen build, Mwangi hair, Tien features, Vudran complexion, elven ears, and a pointed tail. Leather armor festooned with vials and gadgets, massive alchemical laboratory strapped to my shoulders, quiver with no visible bow underneath it.

I am willing to vary that based on necessity, but I have not yet found a real occasion for same.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

New things! Cheap souvenirs! I got this Dire Duck hat in Magnimar. It is the ugliest thing I have ever seen. It delights me.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Sheila Heidmarch. That chick has issues.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

It changes so often I can't really keep track. But I like new people!

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Pfft. I am a melange of ethnicities with at least two other races mixed in besides. My family has this thing about bringing in new blood every generation. There basically are no stereotypes for me.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

The missions Sheila Heidmarch keeps sending me on! I swear that broad is trying to kill me.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Aside from the Dire Duck hat? My bow, I guess, since shooting things is kind of what I do for a living. But who cares? It's all replaceable. In fact, I'm on my second Dire Duck hat! We gave the first one to these cultists. It was hilarious. But I think I'm probably not supposed to talk about that.

The Exchange 2/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
I just wasn't cut out for normal work, slaving away from dawn 'til dusk plowing the fields or shearing the sheep. The Pathfinder Society allows me to live by my wit and charm without having to resort to base thievery.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
My father named me Catherine, which is incredibly dull. I'm no boring Catherine so, when I came to Absalom and started performing acts of stage magic and sleight of hand, I used the name Katarina. It has that extra zing, if you know what I mean.

Just recently, I've earned this title because of my outstanding work for the Qadirans. It lets people know that I'm no longer some country girl from out in the boondocks.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
The town I was born in? You've never heard of it, and you won't find it on the map. It's just a couple of smelly, stupid sheep farmers, and their smelly, stupid sheep. Now I live in Absalom, which is a fantastic city. Always something interesting going on!

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
I'm a little shorter than average, with short blond hair. I try to keep up with what's fashionable in Absalom. Many people look at me and don't think I look very threatening; they're surprised to hear that I'm a Pathfinder. Well, one of the first things I learned from working sleight of hand tricks was that if people jump to wrong conclusions based on what they see, then you're doing a good job.

5. What do you love?
I'm not really in it for the money. I love business, trade, making deals. It's like a contest between me and the gullible people, and money is just a way to keep score.

6. What do you hate?
Sheep. They are nasty, smelly, stupid animals, and if I never see another sheep for the rest of my life it will be too soon. Also, monsters that aren't vulnerable to a quick knife in the kidney.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
My adventuring companions Kakau (he's a barbarian) and Pyrre (he's an inquisitor) are good folks to have aorund when the fighting breaks out. They'll usually distract the enemy until I can slip around behind. Occasionally Kakau will just light into someone so hard that he doesn't really need my help. I don't need to get the killing blow, and it makes him feel like he's all big and fierce. Our cleric, Sarah, keeps us in good health, but she's a bit of an air-head. Honestly, I wouldn't include any of them in any delicate negotiations.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
Humans aren't very exciting, I guess, compared to some of the other races I've encountered. We don't live for hundreds of years, we don't have any fey magic, we can't even see in the dark. Humans are pretty boring. I try to fight that stereotype!

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
I approach every mission with a healthy sense of caution, but I think I'm quick thinking and adaptable enough to deal with most anything. The undead kind of creep me out because my usual techniques of dealing with threats don't seem to work very well on them. You can't fast talk them, and they don't seem to have the same weak points as a live target.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
I know, better than most people, how easy it is for possessions to change hands. The most important things are your knowledge and your reputation. If people trust you to do a good job on the next mission, you can always get more stuff.

Grand Lodge 2/5

(OOC: I enjoyed writing this up for one of my Pathfinder characters, so I decided to come back and do another one.)

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
I was just a humble herbalist and healer, paying my respects to Sarenrae, when she put an idea into my head. It wasn't a fancy vision with angels and fire, mind you, but I'm pretty sure it was Sarenrae's idea. Anyway, I got this idea that if I could protect people from getting hurt in the first place, then that was even better than healing them afterwards. Suppose a wolf is trying to bite off your arm. It'd take a pretty high level cleric to put your arm back on, but even a fellow like me could hit the wolf over the head a couple of times until he stops biting.

The Pathfinders seem to have a bunch of people who keep getting hurt, so I figured they could use my help.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
Barjandar is a proper gnomish name. I think I may have had an uncle called that, or perhaps a cousin. People call me "doctor" because I fix their injuries, but I'm not really smart enough to be a real doctor. I just know a couple of tricks with herbs and plants.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I grew up in the town of Willow Grove, a little gnomish enclave where the big folks didn't come to bother us much. I might have happily lived out my life in that quiet little town, but when Sarenrae puts an idea in your head, well, you don't say "no" to a goddess.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
Well, given that I'm a gnome, I'm shorter than most folk. I have jet black hair, which is pretty dull compared to most gnomes, and green eyes.

If I'm out doing Pathfinder work, I'm usually suited up in heavy armor. I try to keep it clean and nice looking, though it's starting to get a bit dented from me standing in harms way, trying to protect my fellow Pathfinders. I have Sarenrae's mark on my shield, so people know what I stand for.

5. What do you love?
Working with herbs and helping people with their sicknesses and injuries. When it's possible I like to take the time to go out into the wild and gather my own herbs, but sometimes I have to make do with what I can purchase off of merchants.

6. What do you hate?
Anyone who goes out of their way to cause harm. I can understand that people make mistakes - sometimes you cause harm just because you weren't thinking, or maybe it was an accident. But if you go out of your way to hurt other people, then you're just making more work for us healers.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
I've gone on a couple of adventures with a cleric of Sarenrae named Darken Rok, and frankly I'm a bit concerned about him. He's got a quick temper, and he thinks everything can be solved with violence. What about Sarenrae's focus on redemption and healing? I'm no great scholar of religious doctrine, but it seems like he's got it a bit wrong.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
Well, I suppose I could go for the quick laugh and say that I'm all about protecting the little people . . . Actually, it seems to me that most of the other gnomes I've encountered have been a bit more tricksy and underhanded than I am. I try to be level with people, as much as I can, though I did once try to lure a guard away from his post using ghost sound. I figured if there was one less person around when the fighting broke out, that was worth a little bit of trickery.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
I'm concerned about what Sarenrae has in store from me. I'm just a simple herbalist from Willow Grove, and now she's blessed me with all kinds of strange powers, like healing people just by laying my hands on them. I'm worried she has something big planned for me, and I hope I don't disappoint when it comes along.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
My collection of herbs and medicines. I can heal people, now, by laying on hands, or using my wand of cure light wounds, but sometimes I still like to do things the old fashioned way. I wonder if you could make a wand of cure light wounds that smelled like chamomile tea? Surely that wouldn't be so very difficult . . .

Shadow Lodge 2/5

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

It gave me lots of opportunities to travel the world when I was looking for my elven father, and keeps me well away from my hometown and my human family there. Since finding him, I mostly adventure out of respect for all that Grandmaster Torch has done for me, and I hope to someday clear my debt to him.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Sesharan Kai'Del. The surname is the one thing my mother could give me of my father's, while the first name came from her side of the family.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I grew up in rural Andoran. As a result, I received martial training from the time I was very young. Otherwise, it didn't matter much that I was living in Andoran, it was a very rural village. We probably got conquered once or twice and never noticed.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

I am female, with long black hair, a quiver on my back, and a griffon mane ceremonial outfit that I have always found suitable for almost any occasion. Prestidigitation lets me color it appropriately for most events.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

I love magic. It's incredibly fascinating, and my father taught me a great deal about elven traditions for using magic in combat, as well as out.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Stupid people with stupid biases. The homophobia in some places is enough to drive one to a Girdle of Opposite Gender.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I have a barbarian friend that I adventure with fairly often, a druid who taught me much about combining different kinds of magic, and an alchemist who taught me everything I need to know about how not to enter a fight.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Well, I'm certainly not a "happy home" half-elf. Some of the half-elves I've encountered in my travels have mentioned entire communities of half-elves, and I've considered settling down in one of those when I retire. But I certainly have the tendency for trying many things that is typical of most half-elves.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Lycanthropes. Hate 'em, hate 'em, hate 'em. I was hunted by a werewolf once, when I was just a young boy leaving my village for the final time. I've gotten stronger since then, but I still shiver any time I see lycanthropes of any kind.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

I will have to cheat and choose two: My bow and my broom are equally important to me. Both were gifts from my father. My bow is both my means of defense and the focus through which I work spells. My broom is my ultimate freedom, the power to go anywhere I wish and never be held down. I keep both of them with me at all times, stored safely in my quiver.

Varisia. It filled me with rich cultural heritage. You know what I'm talking about, ladies.

Medium height, medium build, dark hair, dark skin, dark eyes. Rakishly handsome. Dapper clothes and a flawless silk scarf.

Anything that prevents me from enjoying the aforementioned destruction and/or ladies.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I enjoy working with anyone who (1) falls for my roguish charm or (2) serves as a capable wingman.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

My friend, I'm so Varisian it hurts.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Psh! Yusef Mihai fears nothing! (Except maybe ED.)

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Well, I'm a kapenia dancer, so ...

Liberty's Edge 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ****

(For my gunslinger / inquisitor of Milani)

I don't mind talking a bit.

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
Milani told me it would give me good oportunities to strike at oppression across the world.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
Elsi Ambustiana is my chelaxian name. I was adopted by an alchemist known as "the burned one." (Roman translation). My Garundi name is Kartek (egyptian for "Spark Carrier")

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
Ethnicaly Garundi, but grew up in Cheliax, adopted by an alcheist. I fight against its slavery doctrine.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
(Looks like Zoe from Firefly). I don't know, I wear leather and mithral, carry around a musket. Pretty much everywhere.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
Fireworks & architecture. And sometimes they meet in interesting ways.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
Slavers and group orphanages. Direct adoption works fine, but those chelaxian orphanages are devil-spawned. And slavers... just deserve long deaths.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
Dash is good to work with. He's an effective magus. A bit crazy though.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
Well, I try to return to my Garundi heritage when I can, but being raised chelaxian comes out more often than I like.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
Dogs. I'll put up with them if I have to, but if one looks at me funny, it'll likely lose its head.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
My musket. My father helped me build it, and it'll be with me till I die.

Grand Lodge 4/5 5/55/55/55/5 ****

(For my Pistolero / White-Haired Witch of Groetus)

(Speaking very shyly with a sever stutter) I, I suppose I could talk for a bit...

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
After finding Groetus, he sent me to Absalom to learn how to best use my powers. The pathfinders don't like him much, so I do what I can to show that he's not [i[really[/i] evil. Things die and fall to pieces all the time, and it's our job to clean up the mess they leave. Someone told me once we're like cosmic janitors.
Sorry, I suppose that's not so much about the society. I haven't been with them long, but they seem like they make a lot of messes, and someone needs to clean them up.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
I'm just Natalya. I never earned a surname.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I grew up in Numeria. It's a hard place, but you grow up either strong, or very good at getting out of the way. I was never very strong, but Groetus showed me how the pistol could make up for that.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
My white hair tends to have a life of its own. One of my eyes is bigger than the other, but most of the time there's hair blocking it. I tend to wear leather and mithral, unless I need to wear something for the cold weather.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
Groetus! People think he wants to end the world - that's wrong. He doesn't want to end it; he's just around to clean up when it's done. Oh, and helping people with their hair. I use mine to show them examples, and then make them pretty. (Profession: Barber)

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
The technic league worries me. I don't think I hate them, but I sure don't like them.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
There was that strange goblin cavalier I worked with. I think his name was Small-Ears or something. At least, I think he was a goblin. Something was strange about him though.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
I may be smaller than most, but I'm still a Kellid. We know how to handle ourselves in harsh climates.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
Mechanical monsters from the Scar.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
My scorpion, Yala. Groetus speaks to me through her.

Grand Lodge 2/5

(for my Rogue and soon-to-be Duelist)

(assuming he's been hit with Charm Person and failed his save)

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
I'm searching for my lost love. The Society has a lot of resources. One day I'll find her.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
I am Adalric - formerly of Thrane.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I grew up in the small hamlet of Thrane. You've probably never heard of it (it doesn't show up on many maps), but it's near Greengold.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
I'm pretty ordinary-looking; people generally don't really notice me. I'm always clad in dark hues and studded leather armor - although I can always blend into any social setting thanks to my Sleeves of Many Garments.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
The elf maiden Tilaxia: my lost love. Coming in second would be my twin shortswords. They've saved my life more times than I can count.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
Miners and their deadly picks.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
I have no real friends within my society and keep to myself for the most part. I've adventured with many Pathfinders - most notably a Dwarven trip specialist, a Tiefling wizard, and a gunslinger.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
I keep my views to myself, sorry. I can tell you that I don't have any particular animosity toward Dwarves and adventure with them quite frequently.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
Dying before I find Tilaxia. Or worse, learning that she no longer shares my feelings.

10. What is your most treasured possession?
My swords.

Dark Archive 2/5

1 person marked this as a favorite.

(for my necromancer Wizard/Witch)
(former BBEG, defeated by a group of Pathfinders, now CN-aligned and atoning for his sins while slowly regaining his powers)

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
Not by choice, I can tell you that. *sarcastic* I'm atoning for my many wrongs.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
You don't know me? *mournful* How quickly does time erase the memory. I am Thackery Binx. *sighs* Once nations feared that name, but now....

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
While I was born/grew up in Cheliax, I'm actually descended from the Azlanti. In my past life, this (and my great power) meant that I deserved the servitude of everything and everyone. *mournful* How far I have fallen....

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
I'm a tall man who - although physically weak - radiates power and commands attention. It takes a brave man to look me in the eye for very long, as countless horrors can be found in my gaze. I wear robes that - while once magnificent and menacing - now hold only a faint shadow of what once was.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
*complete change in demeanor and attitude* Mr. Tibbles my hedgehog familiar. Isn't he the most precious creature you've ever seen?

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
*mournful again* Myself. If I hadn't failed, I'd never have been cursed to such a fate as this. *to himself* Why didn't they kill me?

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?
None. I go my own way. If you wish to tag along, you can, but don't expect me to baby you. My road is a hard one that I wouldn't wish on anybody.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
I've been called arrogant and haughty, but that's not exactly true. I had great power once and deserved to be venerated. One day, people will do so again....

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
I fear nothing. What horrors could be worse than what I have seen or done?

10. What is your most treasured possession?
The most adorable, lovable companion in the world, Mr. Tibbles.

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
Why not a pathfiner? It lets go do and see amazing stuffs. Plus I can find out your gods weaknesses for the masters.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

The masters never really gave me a name, but I did decide I am great and so...

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
I was raised under ground by the tenacled masters. They made you jelly when they touched you, maybe this is where the Jelly axes came from?

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

I look awesome. I am 35 pounds of elite gnominess. I wear whatever clothes I can find, but do i have some amazingly colorfull hair. Psst it is magically colorfull, but don't tell. I have these awfully small and shriveled arms from the heavens cursing me, but that is ok. They gave me a super colorspray in return.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

I love to see and do new things. I love potions and to drink'em all because you never know what new experiences you might get next.

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

I HAAAAAAAAAAAAAATE boring stuffs. Stupid venture cap'n rambling about this or that when they just need to point me to adventure and who needs a good colorspraying.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Just a bunch of other talls. I met a pair of twins that made me run really fast, a Jelly Ax hell knight, what a weird idead but I never found his ax. I once partied with a fairy dragon...

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I am the most awesomest gnome there is and gnomes are very awesome so that is saying something. Althought I do not like the silly hats those other gnomes where. Also I hate those weak gnomes that do not colorspray.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

....bleaching....

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Possessions? I do not really have many possessions. I magitize things so I do not need things like those silly other talls. I do still have the crossbow left to me from my masters when I left.

Silver Crusade 2/5

Pontificor, you sound like my sort of fellow. Can you give me any advice on how to restrain the urge to Color Spray everyone in sight when I get excited? By the way, those rumors about a Kelish dinner party getting knocked unconscious by an errant blast, it WASN'T me.... *looks around nervously* Anyway, if we ever get to adventure together, I'm sure we'd get along splendidly: birds of a feather and all that.

Sczarni 3/5

Oohhh ohh ohh, yes Astoroth we should we would rule. It i snot fair to have one gnome in a group two would be unstoppable. I never pathfound with another gnome before. I was thinking that no good captain Vaseline was purposely spreading us out. I colorsprayed Baron Jacquo Dalsine’s cousin, well before the Baron died and I brought his head back. We should get Yzarctihstab Garblenarf, think 3 gnomes would dominate.

Liberty's Edge 1/5

1. Excitement, fame, fortune... all the regular reasons, I suppose. Plus, there's only so far an aspiring thespian can go in Andoran, and traveling can be rather... perilous, when you're a halfling. With friends like the Pathfinder society, it's a lot easier to see the world and find your place in it... even if you only end up staying in that place long enough to pick up some fresh trail rations!

2. Reed Starling's the name, though I can't say as there's much of a story behind it. The Starling clan's never been real keen on genealogy; not that we had much choice in the matter, considering that my father and all my grandparents were born into slavery. As far as they've ever told me, Starling was a name my folks came up with after the war, when they decided to get married and set up a homestead, and I'm proud to carry it.

3. Andoran, of course! Didn't I already say that? Finest country in the world, and a model for the future of Avistan. A lot of folk complain that Andorens are meddlers, sticking their beaks in places they aren't wanted and stirring up trouble wherever they go. Well, I say to those folk, you're damn right we are! Sure we're not perfect, and even the best of us make mistakes from time to time; we're only mortal, after all. But I've never once had a Chelaxian slave complain when I took the whip from his driver's hand and broke the chains around his wrists. I can't say I'm a man who spends a lot of time thinking about politics and philosophy, but I know this much: all thinking creatures were created free, and one day they will be free again.

4. Well, I don't usually like to blow my own horn, but if past experience has taught me that I've got enough looks to open some doors. I'm fairly tall in halfling terms, not that big folk tend to see the difference, with chestnut brown hair and eyes the color of a summer sky in the Five Kings foothills.

As for clothes, I mostly stick with practical attire, since I'm on the move so much. Given a choice, however, I prefer to dress in blues and greens, and I tend to favor comfort and quality over expensive fabrics and elaborate cuts. That said, I do my best to keep up with styles in Absalom; image is key in show business, after all. Sadly, there's only so much I can do about that, since I never know when I might have to rush off to go splashing through some sewer in Ustalav or to spend a month or two hacking may way through the Mwangi jungle.

5. I guess "freedom" would be far too predictable an answer, and redundant to boot. In all seriousness, though, I really do love to travel, though it's taken me a while to get used to ships. Given the option, I prefer to go by foot; there's something about being able to feel the ground beneath your feet that really makes you feel like you're on an adventure.

Of course, as much as I like the freedom to travel, being in the Society does have a way of making you really appreciate creature comforts when you can get them. A warm fire, a cold cider, and a hot bath... these are the things that paradise is made of.

Then of course there's the thrill of the stage... in the end, I think, that's what I really live for. Like magic or swordplay, acting is a craft in which there's always something new to learn, something different to try, and something to surprise you no matter how prepared you think you are. I appreciate the classics, of course, but improvisation is where I really thrive. As a Bard, of course, I get plenty of chances to show off that talent, though the audience is a little smaller than I would like.

6. Well, as a rule I try save my hate for things have done something to earn it. Those Aspis Consortium clowns are always coming up with new ways to vex me and mine, and it's a pretty safe bet that some folk (demon-worshipers, rabid werewolves, tax collectors, and the like) aren't out to make a lot of friends. I must confess, also, that I've gotten rather sick of wading through sewer water. I'm sure a lot of Pathfinders have the same complaint, but I think you have a whole different perspective on the matter when you stand just a hair over three-foot six. For that matter, I think I've braved enough giant snow drifts to last me a lifetime. I'm sure I'm going to eat these words down the line, but I'll take a rain-soaked, mosquito-ridden jungle any day over the wastes of Irrisen.

7. Well, I've journeyed with a lot of folk during my time in the society, but most often I work with one particular group that the Venture Captains seem to have decided work well together. Aside from myself, there's Thano, a tiefling alchemist who was apparently once a slave in Cheliax, though I've never pressed him for the details. Thano... never really learned how to make a good first impression; he's a little, er, intense, and he tends to smell more than a little off, and his fiendish features are pretty hard to ignore... that mutagen stuff he drinks before battle does a number on him too...

Er, but despite all that he's a good man and a valuable ally. Not as supportive of the Andoren cause as he should be (I think he's one of those "Shadow Lodge" people) but his heart's in the right place. Which is good, because I'd never want to be on the receiving end of those bombs of his. The guy is an absolute demon in battle... er, figuratively speaking, of course. Sorry.

Then there's Winona, a priestess of Sarenrae and fellow freedom-fighter. I personally find guidance and comfort with the Song of the Spheres, but the Dawnflower is certainly worthy of respect and reverence, and Winona is as true a follower as she'd ever had, I'd wager. Winona's a gentler soul than I would have expected from the stories they tell about Sarenrae and her followers, perhaps even too much so, at times, but her blessings and healing magics have seen us through some dark times, so I won't say a word against her.

Next up is Urdonen, the strong arm of our merry band, a berserker from... actually, I'm not entirely sure where. It's a little embarrassing to admit, but I probably know less about Urdonen than I do about any of my other companions, though I've known him longer than most. He's a man of few words, quick to smile at a joke or agree to a plan, but slow to say anything at all about himself. Still, there's nobody else I'd rather have at my side in a fight; the man's a terror with a greatsword; he even scares me a little, from time to time. Without him, I'm not sure the rest of us would still be alive, and as long as he's with us and has the strength to fight, there's no force on this world I've seen that can stand against him.

Finally, there's Ruzel, the most recent addition to our group. A sorcerer from Qadira with more than a little of the djinn about him, he's honestly a little more mercenary than I might like. Don't get me wrong; he's a fun guy to drink with and can spin a tale better than I can, but behind his smiles and his jokes lies a devious and calculating mind, always working the angles to see where he stands to profit. I must admit, I have a hard time understanding humans like him; in my experience the best things in life come cheaper than you'd think, and it seems like a waste to spend so much time and effort on amassing coin.

8. Well, as much as big folk tend to lump us together, we halflings are a varied lot. They say that we're lucky, and I suppose that it's true, but Desna always favors those who truly appreciate the world's wonders. I guess if I had to make a really broad statement, I'm probably more ambitious than most of my kin. My father and sisters seem happy enough to tend the orchard and the chickens, but I've been on the move since I first went down to Carpenden on market day. Still, I'm far from the only halfling in the Society, so maybe I'm not so unique after all.

9. Haven't you heard? Halflings aren't afraid of anything! In all seriousness, though, I suppose I'm afraid of loneliness, more than anything. In this line of work, you worry sometimes that you'll wind up dying in a ditch somewhere, unburied and unmourned, and that your friends and family might go on for years not knowing if you might still be out there. As much as I differ from the rest of my family, I look up to them, too; one day, not anytime soon, mind you, I hope to settle down myself; get married, maybe even give my poor mother some grandchildren. It would be a shame if I never got the chance.

10. Well, for the most part I don't place a whole lot of importance on the stuff in my pack; I have a fine bow and a keen sword, and a few magical trinkets that come in handy in a pinch, but I wouldn't shed too many tears if I lost any of them. I do have a a few interesting souvenirs I've picked up here and there that it would be a shame to loose, but the memories are likely to last longer anyway. I guess the only thing that's really irreplaceable is a brass whistle I wear around my neck. It doesn't look like much, and it's gotten dinged and dented enough that it doesn't really work anymore, but its a gift my father gave me after my rite of passage, and it helps to remind me that I still have a home out there.

Liberty's Edge 1/5

(Ack, don't know how that came out so bad; I gave it a once-over before I posted, but looking at it now I can see that I missed a lot of typos. Oh well, too late to edit it now.)

Grand Lodge

(It's 6AM. Why not? First post ever and it's a half-baked character I haven't found a proper voice for yet. Woo. Took some liberty with the last question as he doesn't have a Wayfinder yet but he will.)

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

For finding the path. Still feet, stagnant mind. The road is the great teacher. You are reflected in people you meet, and they are reflected in you.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Named as I am. Fleck.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Chelish. I was a predator. I know fear. I know ambition. I know the sound a man makes when stabbed in the back. I buried those skills. I cast off that past. This new work opens old vaults I thought - prayed - were lost forever.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

The same as most crows you'll meet where crows are found. I've never afforded dyes or decorations. The vestments of a monk do not call for either. I am grateful. That does not mean I am impractical.

5. What do you love?

The Everlight, who welcomes all seeking a new path. The open road, which welcomes all who have found one. Smiles. The kindness of strangers.

6. What do you hate?

House Thrune, and the blindness of those who refuse to see the light.

The two often intersect.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

I am grateful for all who allow me walk the open road by their side. Sadly, the road has yet to bring me more than passing acquaintance.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most tengu?

Some tengu show surprise when I offer praise to Sarenrae or Irori and not the old gods. Our gods. But all understand the need to take to the road and cast off the contempt of the Other. To conquer the world by first conquering the self.

Of course, I will not deny enjoying the recognition the glyph of the open road brings, or basking in the gratitude brought by those three simple words: "I can help."

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

I fear myself, as any sane man would. I fear the darkness in others. I worry that resorting to the skills of my past life will be the start of a fall I will not see until it is too late to stop.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

The Wayfinder. It is the most beautiful thing I have ever owned.

Shadow Lodge 1/5

(Kind of a joke character (6 wisdom, really naive) but I'll give it a shot)

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

Because Pathfinders are awesome! I grew up in Absalom and my orphanage wasn't too far from the Grand Lodge, so I met a lot of Pathfinders. They were always telling me stories of their adventures and heroics. Defeating evil-doers and slaying monsters to find ancient artifacts and lost knowledge all around the world! That's what I want to do! Adventure awaits!

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Well, my full name is Kitril Di Ibafarshan, but you can call me Fritter! My real name was given to me by my Papa, who runs the orphanage where i lived, when he officially adopted me. It means "child of flame" in draconic, which is kinda unimaginative if you know draconic, but still sounds pretty cool. Fritter is my Papa's nickname for me growing up, and soon enough everybody started calling me that, so that's what I go by now.

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I grew up in Absalom, so I saw LOTS of different people growing up. Chelaxians, Andorans, Qadirans, I met people from pretty much everywhere. I even met a Shoanti or two!

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Well I've got glowing yellow eyes and hair that shimmers between yellow colors and orange ones like a fire. My eyes glow brighter and my hair shimmers more when I get angry or excited. I also have pointy ears, kinda like an elf! I only really wear metal or fire resistant leather because of my alchemy and my love of fire, which can get out of hand, so flammable clothes don't tend to last too long. Oh, speaking of alchemy, I've got my portable alchemy kit my Papa gave me a few years ago, so there are lots of bottles and alchemy equipment visible.

5. What do you love?

I love my alchemy. And fire! It's so pretty. I also love new things. New places, new people, new stories, and new adventures!

6. What do you hate?

Manipulative and hurtful people. That's the reason I don't really like most chelaxians, as they usually fit that description. Not all of them are like that, but alot are. Alot of Qadirans too. I also don't like arrogant and forceful people, especially if they take money from poor people. That's just greedy and mean!

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Well, I haven't really gotten to know any pathfinders all that well. I haven't even gone on a real mission yet! But, I'm not all that strong or tough, but I'm sure I'll find some Pathfinders who are! I'm also really easily distracted and kinda unobservant, so I tend to miss things that others might see really easy. Papa also said that I'm really naive about the world... but, I mean, I've heard alot of stories and met alot of people and I'm really excited about seeing the world! It can't be that bad... right?

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most ifrit?

Well I haven't met any other ifrits, but my papa knows alot about them. He said that they're often arrogant and mean, which doesn't fit me at all! He also said they can be destructive with their love of fire, which I guess isn't too far off for me. I started my alchemical talent at a pretty young age, but I tried my best to keep it away from the other kids and other people, it just got out of hand some times. I didn't want to hurt anyone... B-but that changed when my papa adopted me and made a fully stone basement in his personal home for me to practice in. Papa also said that they like to move around alot from place to place and adventure, which fits me perfectly! After he adopted me we would take at least one trip a year to somewhere exciting. I also loved all the stories from the pathfinders, and I can't wait to go adventuring myself!

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

I'm afraid I'll hurt by some monster, or trapped in some tomb or cave or something, or something even worse! But I'm sure I'll find some good pathfinders and that wont happen. I also really don't like water; bad experience learning how to swim with papa. B-but I'm not afraid! I just don't like it.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

My personal alchemy kit my papa gave me a few years ago! I mean, I could probably could just replace it if it got broken or stolen, but it just wouldn't be the same. He hand picked the whole kit!

I will answer as my newest character: Marduzi Viorec (Male Human Magus)

Quote:
1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

Life is all about who you owe debts to. I owe a favor to Guaril, he owes a favor to Ambrus.

Quote:
2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

Earth?

Quote:
3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

I grew up in Riddleport, a most disreputable town. It made me a most disreputable person.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

I keep my brown hair cut short. I prefer to wear shirts without sleeves, to display the many tattoos I've accumulated on my arms over the years.

Quote:
5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Fair sailing weather, rum, and a quiet place to prepare my spells.

Quote:
6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Storms, loud people, hangovers.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

As a new Pathfinder initiate, I have none yet.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

I suppose my dislike of staying in one place too long is my Varisian heritage getting the better of me.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Hurricanes.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

I would say my ancestral kapenia, but alas it was lost when the Reefclaw sunk. A treasure not easily replaced it was.

Silver Crusade 3/5

Signs the roster as "Jander, Cleric of Sarenrae."

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?
"I am a Pathfinder, because Sarenrae calls me to build and protect her flock so they may soar through her blue skies."

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?
He gives the interviewer a puzzled look. "My name is surely my own; why would else would have it?"

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?
"Sarenrae is not a god the past, but more of the present. My history is clearly unknown to me, as it must not have been deemed necessary by the Giver of Memories."

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?
"I will always adorn myself with my holy symbol." A tuft of hair motions towards the Sarenrae symbol on his chest. "Were this not a dangerous place for my brethren, I would go with simple clergyman robes and cloaks. Alas, it is not. My breastplate is needed to protect myself and Her flock from those that wish to bring us harm."

In actuality, Tsusuko is a very old Tien man with flowing, animate hair. It reaches up to 15 feet at its longest, but moves out of the way of things that could get caught up in it. As he talks, it moves with his gesturing. He does not seem to notice this. On his person is 2 holy symbols, (Iomedae and Sarenrae), a tower shield, a greatsword, and a backpack stuffed to the brim with odds and ends. Perhaps most notably, he owns and carries a bucket with a crab inside.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)
"The feeling I get when I convert a nonbeliever to His Grace. Surely his beauty will encapture them for the best of reasons."

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)
"I despise those who wish to bloody the Goddess' seas with innocents' blood. It is a slight against my faith, which will not go unavenged."

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro, mentor, father figure or a rival?
"As I said, He is not a God of the past, but of the present. I do not recall my past, so she must not see it be needed."

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?
"As an Aasimar, I find that many accept me unconditionally. I still attempt my best to be as kind as possible." Tsusuko is a old Tien man, not an Outsider.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?
"Fears?" Pause "I suppose I am afraid that I will fail to convert those who could be saved by the Goddess' glory."

10. What is your most treasured possession?
"Possessions mean nothing when we pass on to His graveyard in the greater planes. I know that changing others' lives is far greater than any armour or blade."

"Ooh. Looks like my reputation precedes me!" He tosses a coin to a well groomed teenage human. "Good job, boy!"

The boy catches the coin, and says "Thank you, Lord Baron", and bows to the gnome.

"That's my herald. His job is to make sure my reputation precedes me." Yzarctihstab laughs excitedly at his own joke.

"I like traveling with gnomes. I recently went to the Blackros wedding with a gnome Pathfinder named Hazel. And I have a gnome friend named Gnaarr who I've adventured with a few times. He likes throwing explosive bombs at our enemies. But... " Yzarctihstab's face becomes sullen "He died." His face suddenly lights back up as he tells you, "He got better, though!"

"I don't like to talk about the time Gnaarr died. There was a much more fun mission where Gnaarr and I were traveling with a couple of guys who reminded us of gnomes, even though they aren't."

"There's this halfling bard named Elvis Manypockets who was apparently raised by gnomes, and he shares our race's good sense of adventure and fun. And there's a human wizard named Vincent who has a short attention span - very smart guy, but not so wise. I had a lot of fun on the mission where me, Gnaarr, Elvis, and Vincent worked together. The other members of the team for that one were a big, strong fighter who we all got along with pretty well, and a dwarven monk who kept giving the rest of us dirty looks."

Yzarctihstab gets a faraway, quizzical look as he says this last part, as if trying to decipher why the dwarf wouldn't have liked the rest of the group.

"But I'd like to meet you two gnomes and maybe go on an adventure with you some day! Maybe we could ask a Venture-Captain to send us out together!"

1. Why are you a Pathfinder?

A few years ago, Lady Luck 'erself - that's Goddess Desna ta most folks - she come ta me in a dream. And she says to me, "Seamus," she says, "Ah want ya ta spread the luck around. Tell folks ta believe in the stars, and follow their dreams", she says.

Now, who am ah ta argue with a goddess, specially one dat's always been so good to me clan, makin's us the luckiest of all 'alflings??? So naturally, ah agreed. And ah've been travelin' the world, spreadin' the luck around, and spreadin' faith in the stars and dreams, ever since.

2. Do you have a name and surname that is not ripped straight out of existing Earth mythology or popular culture?

It's no secret that a lotta surnames are made from compound words, like mine. Jus' look at all the famous heroes o' legend like Tasslehoff Burffoot, Flint Fireforge, Sturm Brightblade, Roy Greenhilt, Haley Starshine, Belkar Bitterleaf, and Durkon Thundershield. I never hearda no one outside my clan named Luckleaf, but it's a common format fer a 'alfling name.

And some people say ma size, and first name, and tha way ah talk, and that ah spread luck around, those things remind 'em of a leprechaun. But ah don't know why they say that. I'm much bigger 'an wee little leprechaun! Ah'm a full grown 'alfling!

3. Which nation did you grow up in? How did this nation influence you?

Ah moved around a lot as a wee yungin'. Ya probably 'eard o' caravans bringin' 'alflings along fer luck, and we Luckleafs, we're known for bringin' more luck than most!

Ah guess movin' around so much influenced me, though. Ah got the typical 'alfling wanderlust, and a 'ealthy respect fer new places and cultures when ah first meet 'em.

4. What do you look like? What are your wearing? How does this vary when you’re stalking through forests, sewers, deserts or in glittering cities?

Ah'm a normal lookin' 'alfling, fer the most part.Ah wear some armor fer safety, and always have me holy symbol to Desna wit' me.

5. What do you love? (Treasure and experience doesn’t count)

Luck! Travel! And, 'o course, Lady Luck herself!

6. What do you hate? (Unclear and irritating darkness level rules don’t count)

Anyone that 'urts others.

7. Which other Pathfinders (PCs) do you rely on for teamwork, survival and butt-kicking? Do you have a bro? a mentor? a father figure? maybe a rival?

Ah 'aven't been on enugh missions as a Pathfinder ta 'ave any good friends yet. But ah liked the people ah traveled with fer the two missions I went on so far.

8. How does your race influence your views? Are you a stereotype of a certain race? How are you different from most humans/elves/gnomes/orcs/tengu?

Like ah said before, some people think ah'm a stereotypical leprechaun, even though ah'm a 'alfling.

9. What are you afraid of? Do you have any phobias or worries?

Nope. Lady Luck takes care o' me.

10. What is your most treasured possession?

Ma strong connection ta Lady Luck herself! It's an 'onor ta serve 'er.
