About Doctor Barjandar
A cheerful gnome who seeks to spread his healing skills as widely as possible, Barjandar has offered his services to the Pathfinder Society. They seem to have a number of members who suffer from repeated injury in the process of trying to do good.
Barjandar is deeply saddened that he was not able to prevent the death of his adventuring companion Garzik. Garzik had charged into combat to aid another Pathfinder, which Barjandar views as an extremely noble act, and before Barjandar could react to the danger Garzik suffered two powerful blows that gave him no chance at recovery. Barjandar feels that if he had acted more quickly (i.e. not rolled a 4 on initiative) he might have been able to save his friend.
Barjandar has recently acquired the services of his trusty steed, Hope, the St. Bernard. He doesn't need a big fancy horse, like a cavalier, but this should allow him to move around the battlefield a little more quickly, bringing aid wherever it is needed. While many non-magical St. Bernards have been known to carry a flask of brandy attached to their collar, Hope carries a potion of cure moderate wounds for anyone who might need one. Like Barjander, she is willing to put herself in danger to save a fallen comrade.
