I thought according to the PF rules any magical healing automatically stabilizes wounds taken in combat.

Pathfinder Core Rules, Pg 190 wrote:

If any sort of healing cures the dying character of even 1 point of damage, he becomes stable and stops losing hit points

So Atealya would have been at -1 and stable after being healed by Samantha's hex.

Dhovahk's cure light wounds should have brought Atealya to +7 Hit Points.

Pathfinder Core Rules, Pg 190 wrote:

Healing that raises his hit points to 1 or more makes him fully functional again, just as if he’d never been reduced to 0 or lower. A spellcaster retains the spellcasting capability she had before dropping below 0 hit points.

So, if I am right, Atealya should be at 7 Hit Points and fully functional.
