1) It limits creativity and "out of the box" thinking.
2) It rarely gets it right (in my experience).
3) It doesn't produce an official looking stat block similar to my own (last I checked).

Welcome to my Crazy Character Emporium, brought to you by popular demand!
I make a lot of characters just for fun in my free time (roughly one a week, over a hundred currently sitting in my personal archive), many of which never get to see the light of day. Therefore, I decided to make this thread as a place where people can see all of my concepts, all of my builds, in one place.
It was originally my intention to sell them all in the form of a "PC Concepts PDF," but I'm afraid I don't have rights to sell much of the art that I use as character portraits, and I cannot afford to hire an artist to recreate them all. Not willing to produce a boring looking product without art, or let them all sit in the dark for eternity, I've decided just to let everyone see my work, as is stands, for free. Lucky you! Having this thread will also allow me to update regularly with new character ideas and corrections, something that I could not easily do with a standalone PDF product. It will also better allow you, the many fans who follow my work, to assist me in finding potential problems, such as typos or rule snafus that may need to be corrected. What's more, you can download only what you want or need, without having to slosh through a huge ungainly PDF.
Please feel free to use the following characters in your home games in whatever manner you wish (but please don't use them elsewhere, such as in your personal novel). All of my creations exclusively use Paizo's Pathfinder and Golarion Campaign Setting rule sets and assume a high fantasy campaign. They thus use the 25-point buy method for determining ability scores and a have 75% of the maximum variable hit points (4 for wizards, 7.5 for fighters, etc.), rounded up to the nearest hit point. They otherwise follow all of the standard rules of the game as I interpret them. None of these characters use any intentional house rules, though as with any complex game, please expect, and allow for, some leeway for interpretive...
Any way you can go over Ruel Whelon and his Eidolon level by level, or how did you build him?

No, not dead, just changing. I suspect that the net space I was paying for lapsed.
I am not making plans to renew my contract any time soon. However, you can still find all of the characters in my Public Skydrive folder, which I've linked to, two or three times earlier in this thread.
...as well as here.
Enjoy! :D

Bah! Anyone can get an 800+ post thread. All you have to do is start a controversial rules debate on the Rules forum.
If you really want to show me your love, hit the first post's favorite button. (That's the little "+" sign in the top right.)
That's how I count my fans. If you can't bother to do something as simple as that, you're no fan of mine. ;P

Is there some trick to opening them? All I get is that they won't open
Do you have noscript or something similar?
If so you'll probably have to disable it for the skydrive.
If you're following links from elsewhere, then they won't open because that's down, as he mentioned a few posts up. You need to use the skydrive link <--- .

Wow. It certainly has been a while. Guess a job will do that. :D
Here's a new one!
Tolu Wrang - 9th-level half-elf avatar, an arrogant mortal who sought power and near indestructibility in willful possession
Ravingdork |
And yet another!
Bein Brennil - 7th-level kitsune enchanter, master of others' emotions
Ravingdork |
Not only are Bein and her familiar immune to the effects of her entangle spell (allowing for awesome battlefield control), but her familiar can demoralize enemies easily, debuffing their saves in preparation for Bein's high save DC compulsions.
Imagine a poor sap of an enemy compelled to stay within 30 feet of Tithin or else be staggered, except Tithin is 80 feet in the air, leading said target through several AoO heavy zones.
EDIT: If you have a keen eye, you may also have noticed that the last couple characters feature new formatting. The differences are almost imperceptible, but in short, I've moved away from using tables and am now using more traditional text. Among other things, this makes each page fill up much more nicely. I've also discovered the power of Styles and have created several specifically for my character sheets.

This absolutely rocks!. My buddies suggested that I should have a bunch of characters ready for our local con(Dundracon.
Thank You! from an unapologetic power gamer who runs master/synthesist summoners, vivisectionist/beastmorph alchemists and oh yeah my quijoong/gray disciple duergar monk who i wish could be more powerful. That should be good for another 100 comments or so, and yes I have marked you as a favorite.

Lamontius: Let me know when one comes up. Sadly, I've not been in one that lasted very long, but I can still be hopeful, right? *crosses fingers*
Azixirad/Anybody really: If you use any of my characters at a con (or, well, at all) please post here about your experiences! :D

Pretty sure I have a knifemaster somewhere already...
I've said before that people are free to make requests. Whether or not I actually do it is purely a matter of fancy.
I found your knifemaster but its just a fighter with I think 3 levels dipped into rogue. Anyways my main concern was the Spellslinger or (Gun Mage). It would probably require some multiclassing and a bit of thought process on how exactly to pull it off. What I had in mind was Wizard(Spellslinger) 1 /Alchemist(Vivisectionist) 3 /Arcane Trickster 10 /Wizard(Spellslinger) 6. This would require the trait Two-world magic for mage hand so you can take Arcane Trickster. That way you get 9th level spells, 7d6 SA's, and mutagens to bump up Dex for ranged touch spells. Firing sneak attack lightning bolts, or distengrates from your gun.. sounds pretty damn fancy to me. Whats your take on it? Or how would you make your Gun mage? Would you go the gunslinger route?

I just did my first one ever RD, it ended (via completion) a couple of weeks ago and was quite fun
although I am given to understand that they often just fade away, so I feel I got lucky with an awesome GM (DM Panic) and great players
anyways I am sitting on like six different concepts beyond my AP and PFS characters so let us make this happen at some point

If you guys haven't had the chance to see it yet, head on over to my "What do YOU think MY character looks like?" thread for some awesome character art. Over 14,000 posts and growing!

Sajan “Floating Mountain” Viraj is such a great character, but unless I'm missing something he's probably the most sub-optimal character in the list, which while not the most important thing in game, can certainly annoy the rest of the party if he's not pulling his weight.
Does anyone know of way of beefing him up slightly without losing this marshmallow's general flavor?
I guess the main problem is the amount of feats used up on Fleet and Spring Attack.

If you are referring to his combat ability, I think he pulls his own weight just fine with his ~32 damage/round. Most CR 7 creatures only have 85 HP, meaning he takes them out in ~3 rounds by himself, which is just fine for a support character. Even on single strikes (such as when using Spring Attack) he's dealing about 19 damage a round. Not a terrific damage output, but hardly worthless.
I remember you once said that you where going to make a snowball themed character. Have you? And if so can I see it?
I've made a number of cold/ice/snow themed characters. I don't recall what you are referring to though. Perhaps you could quote what I said to help jog my memory?
Sorry about the PbP thing...
If your interested I was thinking on using your Characters as NPCs for a future PbP I am planning. You interested?
Interested in you using my characters, or in participating in your PbP? Your last one didn't go too well, though in your defense it was a very nontraditional arena combat game (those can be hard to pull off well). What's the basic synopsis of this new one?

Interested in helping me set-up for your Characters appearance. Though both are welcome.
It will basically be that the world has been decimated by a war waged to destroy a Lich who sought to conquer the world. Since most of the Nations were destroyed now there are regions completely without control. The PCs will be tasked with starting up their own nation inside one of these contested regions.
I plan to make use of the systems from Ultimate Campaign.
Also: It didn't help that I was burned out with Pathfinder at the time. Though now I am pumped with Ultimate Campaign bringing new options into the game.
Though I have learned my lesson on Level 20s. Usually I get to watch them being made or leveling up so I know how to challenge them.

I really like your Enchantment Kitsune Sorc, but how is it that you get a familiar without going Arcane Bloodline?
Er...bwahahaha!!! I must have been up late when I did that.
Totally illegal. Considering the whole character was based around dominating foes with high DCs while her familiar debuffs said foes' saves, I'm not really sure what to do with her now.
Anyone have any advice on how to fix it?
Hello there :)
Any chance to see some paladin's build ??
Thx :)
Sure.
Ravingdork |
That doesn't sound really feasible unless it's a fighter (or perhaps a ranger), and even then, it would be highly suboptimal, boldstar. Sounds like a fairly interesting concept though. If I did make such a character, I would probably also throw in Deflect Arrows and Snatch Arrows just for fun. Nothing quite like catching the return throw of your own axe just to spite the enemy.
Deadly Aim
Deflect Arrows
Distance Thrower
Double Slice
Far Shot
Improved Two-Weapon Fighting
Improved Unarmed Strike
Point Blank Shot
Precise Shot
Rapid Shot
Quick Draw
Snatch Arrows
Throw Anything
Two-Weapon Fighting
Two-Weapon Defense
Two-Weapon Rend
As you can see, if you're human fighter, it requires you to be 16th-level just to be effective. Archers are out-damaging you, out-tricking you, and out-distancing you several levels earlier.
On an unrelated note, Bein has been fixed. Feel free to continue looking for errors in her, or in others.
