Lets all get together and make a thread where someone posts their character concept, stats, or whatever, and then another person comes along to find (or create/modify) a picture for that character?

I'm basing this thread off of a similar thread over on WotC's D&D forums which, was not only inspired by yours truly, but also has 14,000+ posts and is still going on strong more than 5 years after it was created!

I see no reason why all of us Pathfinder fans can't do better! Also, if you haven't had the chance to see it yet, head on over to my Crazy Character Emporium, where you are sure to find inspiration for a new character!

For example, let's say you posted a description of a Gandalf/Merlin/Dumbledore hybrid wizard; I might then post something like this. Or if you were trying to find the perfect portrait for a dirty dwarven blacksmith, I might provide you with this image.

Please also give credit to the original artist and, whenever possible, get their permission.

oh man count me in I find/modify art and a miniature for all my characters

How's this? lol. Just kidding.

One of these, perhaps?

I personally recommend the left middle link.

EDIT: This version might be better, as it doesn't show rippling muscles on a 5 strength character.

That was until the typhoon hit..Duh Duh Duuuuh.

Unbeknownst to him his father made a deal with his eidolon "Save my son and you will have your freedom".

It is his eternal disgrace that he did not meet his end during the storm that claimed his ship, his fathers eidolon, now his, being the beautiful maidenhead figurehead of the ship, still drips brine and trails splintered broken wood behind her. Now she visits Argen at night helping him set aside his guilt through helping others.

That is pretty sweet, however, I was thinking more old school. Maybe a little more "Harryhausen" you know Jason and the argonauts, Sinbad and the golden voyage circa 1968.

I'm playing a Kellid Druid right now.

The story, if it is relevant:
My father was a master hunter that was, due to complicated events, ultimately disgraced in the eyes of our tribe. He ended up leaving the Realm of the Mammoth Lords and moved the family to the River Kingdoms, where he made a living hunting and trapping.

I have no memories of the land of the Mammoth Lords--my sister and I were raised in the River Kingdoms. Our father taught us to hunt and trap so we could continue the family business, but I never had a head for that sort of thing--my sister runs the store, now, even though I'm older.

While I was hunting out on my own in the far north of the River Kingdoms, I encountered other Kellid hunters, and was drawn into their world. The encounter was complicated, but the short of it is that I learned a little about my ancestral culture and my family's disgrace that was hidden from me. Confused, ashamed, and intrigued, I sort of ran away from home to the Realm of the Mammoth Lords to live with these hunters and learn their ways.

They taught me the ways of the Druid and the faith of my people and I made it my goal to be the greatest hunter alive to make up for my father's disgrace and make sure the family lived on in the eyes of the ancestors.

I am on the tall side, but not huge or anything, with an athletic build--lean muscle, since I spent so much time in the wild.

I was born "civilized," but am kind of a "barbarian poser" now, as I tried to mimic the look of the Kellid people I learned from. I don't wear a lot (unless armor is called for--I have a Dragonscale Breastplate), but I have Kellid tribal tattoos. I keep myself clean thanks to my upbringing, but I have my hair in dreadlocks, as that is the "primitive" custom.

My goal is to be recognized as the world's greatest hunter, so I keep and wear trophies of my significant hunts. I guess I accessorize with body parts--bone beads or feathers in my hair, claw necklaces, fang bracelets, etc.

At the moment, I'm level 4, and my signature weapon so far has been my scythe--but I have clubs and spears, too, so it doesn't matter. I don't shapeshift much, yet, because I won't have natural spell until next level, but when I do for combat, my favored form is a deinonychus. My companion is also a deinonychus, but there's no need to include that in the picture.

I'm wondering if such a picture exists--I bet not, since I tried very hard to find something when I made the character, and I've never been satisfied with what I ended up.

Alright I'll bite. Let's try one of my tengu oracles from PFS.

Seimei Kokuriyo (no, I could not think of a better name), CG Oracle of Life 4 with the Blackened curse.

STR: 12
DEX: 12
CON: 12
INT: 12
WIS: 10
CHA: 21

Has the Claw Attack alternate racial ability, as well as the Energy Body revealation.

Backstory:
She grew up in the slums of Absalom along with other tengu, her parents being thieves. She followed her dad on a few of his "work days" when he was little, but he soon disappeared and was never heard from again.

As for being an oracle, she's not devoted to any particular god (going with the whole "tengu are oppurtunistic polytheistic" thing) but does believe in journeys of self-discovery. She's usually incredibly cheerful though ditzy and easily distracted, trying to find the best in people and vows to help those she calls her friend. She is, however, a pyromaniac, and greatly enjoys fire spells, fire items, etc--she even learned Goblin so she could talk with goblins about the art of setting things on fire. She had her first revealation when she was a kid and accidentally set herself on fire during one of her pyromanaical stunts, but somehow positive energy flowed through her, healing her quickly except for her arms, which remained badly burnt. As a result, she always wears heavy bandages on her talons and arms, but is more than happy to show you her burns and talk about how she got them.

Also,

Spoiler:
I always kinda imagined she looked like something out of Rebuild of Evangelion when she used Energy Body, but I guess that's just me.

Any good?

I have to add to this. Just be warned, we roll stats.

Jayce Wayland, Human Bladebound Kensai Magus 14.
Str: 14 (20 with Belt)
Dex: 20
Con: 15
Int: 19
Wis: 10
Cha: 13

Traits: Mercenary, Magical Lineage (Chill Touch)

Blackblade is a Bastard Sword made from a strange black metal that isn't adamantine. (Found in a ruined temple to a god of magic)
I tend to 2-hand my Bastard Sword after buffing myself and casting Chill Touch, then swing until the charges run out and recast it.

Background:
Jayce was raised by his father, the leader of a mercenary group that cared nothing for causes as long as the coin was right. As a teen, he fought alongside his father in a few battles but eventually got sick of the chain of command. He left the mercenary band and worked solo for a couple of years, and eventually joined with a group of adventurers to put an end to a raiding orc tribe.
After their initial job, Jayce stayed with the group out of a mutual respect for the two Half-Elf brothers that led the team and a slight romantic dalliance with the female Oracle of life. Now, he throws himself into battle to try and grow more famous than his father, and possibly win the heart of the Oracle.

Flavour Stuff:
Not much else worth mentioning, but for flavour... accidentally killed another monastic student when she was younger. As both penance, and to learn to control her racial strength, she focused on on the flowing monk style.

In addition, she took the vows of honesty & silence as a further testament to her dedication to self-control.

Though she is frail, she does not fear combat but rather welcomes the opportunity to hone her magics on those who've unknowingly made themselves her sheep. Having lived many lives already, she does not fear death - Gozreh provides.

I envision her dressing very hippy - long, wavy hair, seaweed interlaced into it. As a Samsaran, she has no discernible pupils, and light blue skin tones. She also has a total of 74 only slightly darker blue tattoos running down her arms and legs.
