But Slanky, those women don't want you now, they only want me and the only real Ryan B. You don't have the power they crave.
Alas, I'm married now and can't enjoy the swooning anymore... but I still take gifts...

Thanks. I do hope to see you around at some point, though I'm in a different part of the state. I actually played my first PFS game in Illinois on Monday, with the Chicago VC as the GM.
Well there is always FlatCon next weekend (10/26-28) in Bloomington or Winter War (1/25-27) in Champaign. Unless Rene gets off his arse and organizes a convention up there that I would be enticed to attend.

I intend to try and maintain my 5-star GM status, so even though I won't be a VC anymore, I will still be around.
Sorry to hear that you're stepping down, but glad you're not going to disappear. I've enjoyed playing at your tables and learning from your skills. Thanks!

Thank you all for your kind words. I have always been in awe of how awesome our community is. I intend to try and maintain my 5-star GM status, so even though I won't be a VC anymore, I will still be around.
I salute you, dear sir.
Though I do not always agree with your posts (usually far from it, truth be told), your achievements and commitment are awe-inspiring and you deserve all the thanks you will get from the PFS community.

A couple of weeks ago I announced my resignation as a Venture-Captain. Be it known that was a doppelganger put in place to cause confusion and seed dissent within the society. I was kidnapped by the Aspis Consortium while en-route to a meeting with Sheila Heidmarch in Magnimar. My greatest appreciation goes to the party of PFS field agents that sprung me from my captivity, whisked me away to freedom, and eliminated my evil double. Back in place, I intend to swifty correct any damage done by our greatest rivals and rest assured, our efforts to thwart the Aspis presence in Varisia is as strong as ever!
Okay, seriously...Since I announced my intention to resign as Venture-Captain, I received dozens of emails, texts, instant messages, etc. expressing thanks for everything I had done to promote and support PFS. Many of these notes were from players I barely knew, or had never met. They relayed their experiences from various events and conventions I have organized over the past few years. I was/am deeply honored to have made such great friends and affected so many players. These things, along with great experiences at recent conventions and gamedays, plus conversations with friends and, most importantly, family, I have decided to withdraw my intention to resign. Mike has graciously accepted, so I will continue in my role as Venture-Captain of Central/Southern Illinois.
So, as I don my Brett Favre ballcap...I'M BACK!!!

Ah piddlespot. Well, TwiLiBob, you leave me no choice but to also change my once sincere note about your departure. Like you, I have to take it all back and will now offer this amended statement:
I'm glad you never left and then came back.
Your presence was never missed.
Good luck on cleaning up the mess the previous VC left.
In addition, I'm going to have to penalize you 15 GM sessions for the Farve reference.

Damn it Bob!!! Stop playing with my emotions!!!
I have been worried for over a week that you were going to join the insidious group of 5 Star GMs that were hatching a treacherous plan to send Yeti's after me!
I have been stocking up on Antihistamines in preparation of the attack due to my strong allergy of Yeti Fur!

Actually, I am the liaison between the current officer corps and the retirees. The fact that you are aware that the Yetis are coming was intentional. You have to constantly look over your shoulder and wonder, "Is today the day I get yeti'ed?"

Just wanted you to know that whatever you have been doing Bob you were doing it right! Flat con was mine and my kids first con and the PFS made us feel welcome, accepted and right at home. The special was awesome to be apart of and Allison, Jerry, Charles and Stephen were all first rate GMs. My kids are already clamoring for more PFS events and I believe Im hooked too. Hope to see you again at Cons in the future where I get to play at one of your tables. Thanks for all you have done for PFS, sad we got in so late.

I must use the initial password created when I first signed in. Can't change it until after 10 posts.
I am an officially retired person. Have been playing rpgs for over 40 years (first interest when my son wanted to play one--I needed to know what he was interested in--I became hooked as well). As soon as I found Pathfinder, I stopped looking. I found my niche in Pathfinder. Have been GMing for the past three years in Pathfinder. Have run several of the modules and the Pathfinder Guild adventures. Live in a small town and have access to PF products through our local hobby store.
So back to my question, wouldn't the acid in the sewer ooze damage metal weapons? Will fire damage the sewer ooze? Am trying to find enough people to help with the Playtest. I have 2 people interested but we can't play at the same time (work schedules). I wish I was closer to a larger centre where I could participate in Guild play.
I usually play a Cleric since I also play a character while GMing.
Any advice re the sewer ooze will be appreciated.
