Just to remind everyone, we are actively recruiting for people interested in creating a wiki from the ground up. Experience is preferred, but a willingness and ability to put in lots of work to receive lots of criticism but no recognition is better.

Crafting and building are my favorite activites. If it's possible to play a dedicated crafter/builder, look for incessant request from me to all the sellswords for protection while I'm off gathering resources and such.

You can have your PvP...give me TvP (Trade vs. Player). It's far more vicious. :)

Oh, as far as alignment, I won't be evil, that's for certain. Probably lean toward Lawful.

Chip is a good guy. Known him most of my life. He was our main architect for city building in our SWG guild. He does like to build, lol!

My elf ranger fancies himself as somewhat of a biologist, learning of any and all flora and fauna he comes across. He is also pretty good at geography and mapping. Since he has combat training, he could also protect the library or an expedition group.

We have not been actively trying to recruit new members because we know the game is still a long way off, and because there's not a whole lot to do between now and then. However, due to the Kickstarter Land Rush Leaderboard, I think it's a good time to begin trying to convince you that The Seventh Veil is the right place for you in earnest.

The Seventh Veil is different from most other organizations in one very significant way. Instead of using our positions of Leadership to push all the Members to work to accomplish the goals that the Leadership has decided upon, we will instead be using our position to ensure that each Member is empowered to accomplish their own personal goals.

Freedom is the Power to set yourself Free!

This means that we are explicitly trying to structure our organization as a good home for people who generally don't join guilds, or who really want to just have their own small Chartered Company and not worry about the larger stuff while still having special access to all the benefits of a Settlement and a Player Nation.

So far, The Seventh Veil is already committed to sponsoring more than one Chartered Company, and even to helping Shadow-Haven construct their own Settlement, even if it's not a part of our "official" Player Nation.

We hope that you will seriously consider making The Seventh Veil your home. Now is the time.

@Uthreth, thanks. While I'm a programmer, my experience is in desktop applications, not the web. There are some things I'd love to be able to automate in PHP.

Hi there! I think I'm the newest full member of The Seventh Veil, so hello from one newbie to another. We're good people, I promise. And since Nihimon told me I ought to update the applicants' waiting room, there are even cookies!

It seems like the recent rush of new users has frightened our webhosting company. For the moment our website is inoperable, but we are working on getting it back up.

Welcome to PFO, while I am not in the seventh veil I have a lot of respect already for many of its members. Same goes for the empyrean order, lots of respect for people over there as well (sorry if i have left anyone out >.> my memory kinda bites). I hope you enjoy your time on the forums as you ask questions, read blogs, all that good stuff, most importantly have fun.

Also while I have already joined up with a group, I would like to extend my helping hand in game to any in the seventh veil that might need assistance, I will be a lawful good charter of the paladin type with an emphasis on pvp/bounty hunting and general just helping out as I can while we all get in the swing of things so hit me up anytime.

Thanks! Yeah, it was the best looking male human paladin i could find. loved the blackguard i was using for awhile, but decided this would fit my character concept best for my main.

I have high hopes for PFO, which is to say, I hope it is a game which seeks to exceed expectations, rather than just get up to speed in the market. Exploration, in its many forms and definitions, is indeed a very underrated aspect of games of this nature, and I feel that far too much falls by the wayside to ensure that more typical features are included.

that said, I enjoy the presentation you have here, and I feel like this charter's mission statement can align with my own. I'm far too indecisive to really pick a guild so soon (especially since I don't even know if I'll have the hardware to run the game when it's released) but I'll have to keep this group in mind if/when I actually get to log into PFO.

on behalf of the other members of Peace Through Vigilance, I'd like to introduce our Company, and hopefully start productive diplomatic relationships with the Seventh Veil. We're planning on a LG, martial settlement dedicated primarily to fighting against evil/evil planar aligned forces. So from the level of bandit-hunting, up to hunting down and erasing from the Crusader Road any trace or foothold of infernal, demonic, or necromantic powers and influences.

... I'd like to introduce our Company, and hopefully start productive diplomatic relationships with the Seventh Veil.

I want to stress to everyone that opening Diplomatic Relations with The Seventh Veil is not the same thing as forming an Alliance with us. It is simply a way of setting up a private forum on our website where we can have discussions about anything we want.

The Seventh Veil is primarily a meta-game organization. That is, we exist first and foremost outside of the game. We are not a Chartered Company, nor a Settlement, nor even a Player Nation. We may very well end up organizing many of each of those things. It's too soon to say for sure.

We are also a group of people who are joined together by our mutual interest in Roleplay (but I want to stress that being interested in Roleplay is not a requirement for membership), in protecting each other, and in empowering each and every one of us to achieve our personal goals.
