Zyren - am happy to be in just one of your PbPs, and figuring I'm in ~18 PbPs at the moment might leave it for the others. But if you end up lacking for numbers I've a few that I DM I could nudge you at.

18? *blink*

How many of those do you Dm and how do you manage to keep track of the action??

*is utterly impressed*

Heh - only DM five of them, and lets just say that the new Campaign tab on the profile is a god-send.

Some of them are a lot less active than others, and some have less developed characters - but is all good fun. Sometimes I get a bit lost, but most of the time it's fairly easy.

My mind is partitioned pretty weirdly when it comes to this sort of thing. I can't remember what I had for lunch yesterday, but my memory for other things (such as work, etc) can be pretty sharp.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

only 5...heh :)

Btw. I brought my D&D minis to ebay, three days to go and they're at about 1.7k dollars. In the end I decided to sell only the regular ones, not the gargantuans and the colossal, nor the beholder set :)

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

only 5...heh!

btw. I decided to carry my D&D minis to ebay. With still 3 days to go they are not at about 1.7k dollars. However, i decided to keep the gargantuans and the colossal, they just look too nerdy to be sold!

Male dwarven kineticist 3

My timetable this semester isn't at all bad apart from on a Monday (8am-8pm, no lunch break) so I'd probably join another campaign if there was one going.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

the not in my last post is a "now"...I should really check before I press submit...gaah

@ Grmbln: You really think you could manage another one between all the wild skateboarding action :) ? Btw. are there any vids of you on the internet?

If you start another campaign, I'd be interested in joining.

What seller name on eBay so we can find these tasty morsels?

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

ebayYou can find them here...just noticed only two more days to go. Ending on Sunday evening (German time). There are some more minis than in the list I sent, since I also included rares without stat cards now. the German word "ohne" means "without".

Houyet freeride - I'm in that a bit. Look for the purple helmet, purple sweatshirt and flag. And no skate adventures for a while now. Winter is the skateboarding off season. Oh wait, no there is one the weekend after this but I think that is the last of the season. But other than that no skate adventures.

aren't you already overextended with your 12! campaigns? :)

Well as TarkXT will agree PbP is a slow paced medium. If you are lucky enough to have a low-time-demand lifestyle as I do then playing in a dozen or two games is not a difficulty. Running is another kettle of fish entirely. I run an occasional RL savage worlds game and I spend about as much time prepping that as I do playing all my games combined.

So no I do not consider myself overextended.

Now I feel like a slacker - I am only in 8 campaigns at present. Working on getting a few more in since my poor dwarf monk has to hitchhike all the way back to Osirian from the place where Mark's insane dwarf chose a human paladin and an elf oracle over me to wander around in a dungeon.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

@ Grmbln:

Yay for longboards! Very cool, I'll also buy a new one for next summer-any recommendations (for cruising not dancing)?

Mark Sweetman wrote:

Voodoo - just remembered that I can actually search PDFs for words. Garund is mentioned a grand total of twice in Orcs of Golarion. Katapesh is listed as a favored region for orcs and half-orcs, but not much else. Even checked the book on Osirion for you since it is next door - but that doesn't have the word orc in it even once.

If you want any of the other general info I can provide.

Thanks Mark, that's what I expected. Kinda surprised Katapesh is listed as a favored region for orcs. I imagine mostly half-orc emigrees to the city and a few surviving nomad descendants in the hinterlands. I have to say I was REALLY disappointed in the Osirion companion. little to nothing on races and culture that I could use :(

So you're sounding pretty full up or were you still interested at all in running your alchemist in my take on Zolurket?

Folks - am running my first pbp [as seen in previous "new player begging cup" posts above] - hitting a MAJOR snag... Maps.

Simply put they are doing my head in - don't have a heap of time and just want something that'll give me decent, workable maps reasonably easily. I'm messing around with MapTools but its frankly doing my nut...

Anyone smarter than me [that means all of youse lol] care to give an old gamer some new tips...

Cheers ahead o' time

Oy Black Dow, it's just a steep learning curve. I think most mappers are going to have a similar interface. Did you watch the tutorials?

halfway down here.

it does get easier with practice.

One pbp I am in has a player who does the maps once the GM gives them a discriptionn to work from. Could a mention in the recrutment thread for your game that someone you can do the maps gets a leg up on being selected for the game.

Awesome skate vid Kanyk. Now I'll always picture Corvax with a flag sticking out of his pack that says 'No Foot Brake'. Very cool.

Sweet video - I would say you are nuts, but I used to get in a full tuck on my 215cm DH boards and hit 60-70mph on skis, so it is kinda all in the eye of the beholder. Looks like fun.

Series of pathfinder campaigns sounds cool as well.

VC - Sydney, Australia

I could probably extend to another campaign... I'm comfortable with the number I have, and reckon I have rebalanced my face time characters with my 'extras'.

I just don't like turning every campaign into 'The Shifty Show' where I come and dominate the heck out of things.

I would love to get into a series of modules. I like the mods a bit more than the APs. The APs just don't seem as interesting compared to the one or two modules I have played in. It might be tht the DMs just took a little extra liberty with the modules, but they seem a little more open.

@ Bree: No worries, the wight attacking you will just...ummm...eat your brain :)

@ All: Looks like more people are interested in a series of modules, eh? Since I own each and every PF module, I'd like to kniow which you already played, so that I can exclude them?

VC - Sydney, Australia

I've played.:

Council of Thieves
Second Darkness
Rise of the Runelords
Legacy of Fire

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

But none of the normal modules, except Carrion Hill with me?

Playing Pact Stone Pyramid and Fellknight Queen right now. Haven't played any of the others.

Liberty's Edge

Male Elf Witch/10 (HP: 27/27; AC15; FF13; T15; F+2, R+5, W+10; Perc: +31, Init +2)

There's no material that I wouldn't mind running through in a different scenario with a new character.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

I think I can remember that Harry originally was a character from a River into Darkness game, correct Shifty?

Maybe we need a working list of campfire members who are interested in playing in a multi-module campaign, then we can make a second list which modules have already been played by these players.

So far I have seen interest from:

Garabbot Shifty Poor Wandering One
Tirion Bilbo TarkXT
Feytharn grmnbln Sable

Played modules include:
Council of Thieves Legacy of Fire
Rise of the Runelords Realm of the Fellnight Queen
Second Darkness The Pact Stone Pyramid

Some of these are APs, right? But, this is what I have seen listed as the games most of the interested folks have been involved. If I let anyone out or any module/AP out, let me know and I will add it to the list.

Zyren Zemerys wrote:

That is mostly correct.

The GM started River, and before we got to the campaign proper he actually ran a sea based homebrew type affair which I will honestly say was top notch and really great fun. We were having a ball!

We got to the actual kick off spot for the adventure (some bay) and had a fight on a dock, and then the GM just up and vanished.

Came back on some time later and started a new campaign, and never sent us a post or anything to tell us why he just up and disappeared.

Odd.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

oh yeah really odd. Hey thx Bilbo-I'll grant you 20 extra Xp for a character of your choice if you keep track of that :)

No problem, Z. And I will most certainly take you up on a that offer, haha.

Headed out for some Octoberfest fun. If the action needs to roll on in with Harry's and Perdition's attacks, Wildfire will cast Enlarge person on Harry in his next turn.

VC - Sydney, Australia

Liking the new races guide.

Can't wait til I find a nordic campaign where I can play a frost giant barbarian.

Male Gnome Sorcerer/9 - (HP: 49/49 - AC20;FF17;T18 - F+5;R+6;W+7 - Init+9 - Per+11)

So far I have played pretty much nothing from Pathfinder. I am currently in CotCT, Runelords, DMHW's campaign which I think is a non-PF modification of something, a PF homebrew, I think I just got into CC but it has not really started yet, Kingmaker, a PF modification of The Fortress of the Yaun-Ti which is also in the startup phase, VooDoo's LoF campaign and one PF module called Master of the Fallen Fortress - gonna get out of that campaign after this module as the DM style does not work for me.

So pretty much anything works for me.

Male dwarven kineticist 3

Up until now pretty much everything I've played in has been some kind of homebrew campaign so I am up for playing any module at all really.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Hey, you are in my ROTRL! Only the kinky and naughty things are homebrewed, hrhr...:/

@ Tirion: Looked your fallen fortress game up, I really like the module, but I wouldn't want to play with that DM either.

Tirion:
No offence taken :)
I've actually lost another one from the Monk campaign (Unbinding the Fetters) - would that be up Frakdar's alley at all?

Voodoo - my Elven Crypt Breaker would still be interested when you get your own Zolurket campaign rolling :)

I also found the Osirion companion a bit light - but alot of the early ones are a bit less focused than the recent ones. Is Dark Markets worth picking up?

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

definitely, a very good book.

Let me look it up - or I could always create another monk - now that I have the monk character sheet template put together, should not be tough.

How is it working with 2 LN, 1 TN(I assume he started as a LN monk and lost his lawfulness), and 2 CN characters? I could easily put a character together, will look through the thread and see if I fit in. Should have an answer later today, probably by the time you log on tomorrow morning (your time) - this evening my time(USA central).

What are the builds?

He has a strange inflexibility. --> You see his last comment when someone said that they could not get his spoiler's to show up, his response was to tell them to complain to Paizo - wierd.

Divine Gamemaster of the Abyss and below...

Tirion:

He is also a rules lawyer of a strange kind, people who do not exactly state which trog they attack just miss (even if the attack roll was a hit - which a 16 is for a trog). That is especially unfair if you don't use maps...I guess he is still rather young or very very inexperienced.

Minor Crab-beast

Tirion:
To be honest we haven't really had any significant RP action yet. It's set up to be a unarmed combat training school, and that is the binding point of interest for the players.
It's been a bit stop and start too as we've lost a couple of the original applicants who were first time PbPers.
The build guidlines are in the threads - we currently have two monks (one flowing, one stance master / martial artist) a barbarian grappler, a ninja and could be adding a Druid wildshaper.
Up to you - have a look and figure out if you think that it interests you.

Hmm - looks like I'll have to grab Dark Markets then, fill in some detail for the new Zolurketians.

Male dwarven kineticist 3

Well obviously I meant other than the campfire games I am playing in already! I meant before I joined one of your games, only real module type thing I'd played in up until then was Expedition to the Demonweb pits (which I thoroughly enjoyed).
