Assuming I do well on the exercise next week, I will be up for a promotional assessment in July. It's 35 odd days 24/7 assessment.
On drive through as well I see - I'll probably pick it up tonight and see whether something resonates....

I'm flexible too, Mark. I can certainly order individual miniatures at Troll and Toad, so its not a big deal for me either way.

For the Airship Pirates I've had a brief read through and what's resonating so far is an Automaton Ganger.
Pretty dense and absent minded, but designed to be a complete face wrecker in close combat.
Though a Skyfolk Gadgeteer / Sky Sailor / Pilot would also be cool.
Your list seems good to me, Mark. Actually, after seeing the pictures of the gobbies, I decided to order about 16 of those wee goblins. They should be arriving home within the next day or so.
Heh - I got 10 gobbos out of my case, so another 4 or so should top me up nicely.
Back in DDM days I traded with a guy for about 20 Gricks... I don't exactly recall why - I just liked it's tentacle-y-ness.

Just looked at the books for Airship Pirates and I think I am going to order these in hardcover. I won't be able to submit an application right now, but will be keeping an eye out as the campaign moves along. Looks like a great game.

I found that a small box with extra bubble wrap works well. The Aus post used to have small ones for sending books or video cassettes. The bubble envelopes work ok in a pinch as well.

You don't necessarily need Victoriana, the rules are also included in Airship Pirates. It's just the same engine.

Afternoon everyone :) How many if any of you on here are contact wearers? How difficult was it for you to get use to wearing them? Is it normal to have bouts of blurry vision or double vision at first? Will that go the hell away or am I just doomed to wear glasses? Maybe these just don't fit my eyes right or something...

Ive been wearing contacts for about 25 years or so. I dont really recall taking that long to get used to them but it has been a while. Although those do sound like typical first time wearers syndrome. Id use the rewettnig drops liberally. Your eyes are having to get used to breathing through something now and are most likely drying out fast. And if they are soft contacts they will adjust to your eye. There shouldnt be any fitting problems.
This is the second day I've had them, so far they aren't driving me quite as crazy as they did yesterday but the strange vision disruptions are very hard to deal with. They gave me a five day trial of the daily disposable kind and I'm suppose to go back in next week to discuss how I felt about them and whether I want to continue with them etc. I'll give it until then, but if I can't adapt to them by then I don't know that I can see spending money on something that makes it harder for me to see.
Got my hands on the book. I'll look it over.
So before I crack this book open, is Zyren planning on being the ships captain or do we get the choice of it? I have a strong desire to play a magnificent charming bastard.

I had the same problem yesterday as I am today, and it's a fresh pair. IDK, maybe even though I wash my hands first and everything, since I have to try three or so times to get it in there, maybe I am getting something on the lens in the process. Maybe I should take them out, clean them and try again...
Cleaning solution getting stuck underneath them can be a pain, as can bits of dust etc.
I used to wear contacts for sport, and glasses for reading, but then got sick of it all and got LASIK.
I've been strongly considering LASIK, but I'm not sure if I will be a candidate for it or not because I have abnormal pupil dilation. Were you pleased with the results, though? How long did you take to recover?

Congrats on getting done with the divorce. I just hope you are able to avoid all the post-decree crap I hear about from other attorneys.
I doubt I will to be honest, only because there is a child involved and my ex is severely pissed that the courts gave me sole custody. He still gets to see her, but he has no legal rights in regards to medical, religion, school etc. It's very rare for the courts to do that here, but in my case, after dealing with my ex in court, the judge was all to happy to agree that it was necessary for my daughter's well being. Unfortunately, I doubt my ex will leave it alone though. I truly expect to be in and out of court until she turns 18 :(
