It's not a question of how much or how little healing we have. It's jsut that I could think of a billion different things a cleric can do other than cast Cure Light on the dumb people who run up to dudes to get smacked around. Same for Bards and Paladins. :P

Zyren - just wondering about the loot distribution. Because the party decided to not return and go through the whole dungeon in one march, I am still sitting on about 2500 gp (I bought very little) whereas even Perdition who joined about a week ago got at least a split of a chunk of the loot. While I have enjoyed the in town research I have been doing, it puts me a a decided disadvantage on magic --> no magic or masterwork armor, only the masterwork rapier I bought to start.
Just wondering if I can jump my cash up some to get a little more equal or to make me less disadvantaged.

Add to that another 300gp and thats the about the average wealth per party member. Celestra would be ahead as she started with more money than we had I think, and Karlan would have done slightly better as he has a +1 sword. The only magical weapon in the party. Also has the only 'magic armour'.
So 2.5k is pretty much where we are, and 2000 of that was just allocated.
If you started with 3,000gp you are still ahead of a couple of us - and thats assuming your sword is plain M/work and not Mith :p

Thanks, had a mage memorize 2 mage armor spells to buff up our front line fighters. One uses a 2 hand weapon and the other is a 2-handed fighter. So it sounds like Shield would be effective while Mage Armor is only beneficial if their worn armor is less than +4.
Honestly you guys will be fine. At least the three original guys, that is the ones with the most "mad lewtz" are also the guys who are running up and eating swords to the face (that effing hurt). Depending on what we find things will get passed on. The wand in question is meant to be "Our Party Healer." I'd love for Celestra to prove she can strut the stuff her god is known for (erm, in combat not the bar) rather then patch up the WAAAGH! every time it gets stuck in.

I know that I have been playing this for over a month, but is there any chance I could switch from the Archivest sub-type to a normal Bard? Now that I have been playing this game for more than a few days (gotta remember before I joined DMHW's campaign in early July I had not played any real RPG since AD&D in the 90s), I think that the way I will play here is more in line with the straight bard. Her personality will not change, she still is more of a bookworm than performer, but I think that I will never use many of the Archivist abilities. Heck, I have not used any of them yet.
Let me know and I will make the few minor changes necessary to my character sheet.

True - I actually went with Protection from Evil. All their armor is better than +4 and the shield is only good for me. That way they all get at least +2. Will have to remember the Oil of Shield if/when my mage gets back to a town.

Where do you play disc? I have played for about 25 years now, my body is slowly wearing out and I am getting hurt way more than I should, so I am down to just 1-2 leagues per year now, no tournaments in a few years.

Where do you play disc? Nice - I never played Oregon in college - I played for Occidental out of LA, but that was from 88-92. In Chicago now.
Zyren, I am not familiar with Carrion Hill. That would be fine!
On another note, does anyone know how to change my Alias of DM Harpwizard to be my main Avatar Name and change my posts as Solaric to be a messageboard alias?
Log into My Account and under the Messageboard Aliases you should be able to click on - Make Default Alias beside DM Harpwizard. Then Solaric would just become one of your other Aliases.
Interesting bit of changes kicked in this morning on the site.
It looks like this thread got assigned to the Pulp Campaign. Pity, I wanted to see a list of all the characters hanging out here.
Hello! I am back from my extended weekend of exhausting activities.
A short description of said weekend:
Spent two days camped just north of the Brecon Beacons in Wales. It rained constantly and hard and the road we came to skate turned out to be narrow, have an average 19% slope and be surrounded by great swathes of nettles and piles of sheep crap. While I got very wet, extremely dirty and mildly injured it was great fun.
Then drove to another bit of Wales and spent a day climbing the walls of a gorge and swimming the rapids at the bottom of it. Again camped in the rain and got very wet, dirty and slightly battered.
On the last day we left Wales, drove back to the south coast and went to Portland (near Weymouth if that helps) and did some sport climbing and bouldering. Also skated down another steep and remarkably narrow road that leads up to a prison built in an old WWII fortress. Topped it all off with a night swim on Weymouth beach and just arrived home.
My entire body aches and my hands are blistered and cut from all the rock climbing but I think it was one of the best weekends of my summer.
And now I'll go catch up on all the posts I missed before collapsing and sleeping for about a day.

That just changes your default - your main avatar remains the same. If you change your default alias, then you will post with the default when you make a mistake instead of with a your avatar.

Evening everyone! Sorry I haven't been on so much the last couple of days, I've been quite busy. I had court once again today, but hopefully that was the last of it. The ex's attempt to get a retrial was denied.
Hopefully I'll be more active from here on.

Hey I'm not sure where to begin, but I lost my computer, as in my university took it away. So I had no internet or PC for almost a full week. Of course, this is China so they didn't tell me anything in advance. What's my status with the heart of pulp game. Thanks. In addition, I lost the 30 or so documetns I had written for my various games I run. I'm pretty mad...and just had the school drop off and configure a new PC an hour ago. Oh well.

If you want to buy some stuff that is rather mundane and you are in a city or settlement that normally should sell those wares like a POCL for example, you can do that without notifying me. I trust you that you note all changes (especially gold-wise) on your sheets.
Oh yeah and sorry for not so many updates today, was quite busy.
