Looks like today Shifty is gone, aswell as DMHW aswell as Grmbln.
So I guess we will again a posting light day.
There is also some inactivity from the HOM crew :/
Which is especially worrying since one player asked two days ago for the decisions of his fellow group members and no one answered.
If something's wrong with the campaign, please tell me - I think we can adjust pretty much everything - or end it if the motivation just decreased.

Is anyone planning to buy one paizo minis booster case or more? I would love to buy one of the black dragon minis, but shipping a case to germany with customs etc...is abyssmal expensive. So I'd rather buy boosters here, but I really want that effin dragon.

Heh - I'm in the same boat Zyren. Shipping to Malaysia is a similar killer, though I probably will end up buying a case. (But that dragon is mine, MINE I TELL YOU!)
I need some new minis, as all my previous DDM went up in a fire.... I had about 2,000 of the little buggers and had been collecting since Harbinger, but all went up in flames... at least got some insurance payout :)

The minis were in my parents shed for storage while I was in Malaysia. Bushfire came through and wiped out the whole shed. So my parents had a claim in for about $110K Aussie for contents (my Dad is a hoarder of tools, etc).
Insurance company ended up offering 80% value as a big cheque, so my parents said ok and my Dad went out and bought some new toys. I think I put about $3k Aussie down as value, so got 80% of that.

Well, mission success: I'm still alive.
While birthday parties are fun, it's not so fun to wake up at 7:00 the next morning and go play frisbee for 7 hours. Sorry I was gone, and I have another day of frisbee tomorrow, but afterwards I'll be back on normal schedule.
And thanks for the birthday wishes!

Where do you play disc? I have played for about 25 years now, my body is slowly wearing out and I am getting hurt way more than I should, so I am down to just 1-2 leagues per year now, no tournaments in a few years.
@ZZ & Mark --> How much would you guys insure old modules for? I had a box of old AD&D stuff, about 50 modules -- G1-3 Giants, Village of Homlet, Temple of Elemental Evil, and more or less every other module produced by TSR from about 82-90 I think. The box was one of only 2 boxes in my basement that was not on a shelf when we got flooded this summer. Wondering what an insurance value on those would be. Also had a AD&D DM guide in there. I managed to dry everything out, but for all intents and purposes it is destroyed. Still have them, but they are all water damaged.

Its a difficult question and basically comes down to what the insurance policy states. Contents insurance usually either comes as a single overall figure without a detailed list, or requires each and every item to be individually accounted for and $ value provided.
As far as 'collectibles' go - it would be worth talking to whoever the insurer is. I'd make sure that it has 'replacement value' as the claimable figure as opposed to anything related to purchase. Then I think in a claim you just need to show evidence of how much the 'collectibles' would cost and can get payout based on that.
Insurance companies are notoriously wriggly and probably all have different fine print - so hard to say exactly what they would and wouldn't cover, etc.

Yup, I would also give them a detailed list with all the destroyed modules and the prices you have to pay for each at the three largest dealers (Troll n Toad/ Amazon/ etc.)
That's at least the way it works in Germany if the insurence policy really covers floods AND does accept that you keep such a precious box of modules in a box on the gound...I guess that could be a problem.

Trust me - they were not supposed to be on the ground, just must have gotten put there when I was moving something. I know they are covering the flooding as they have already paid for most of the damage to the house, just need to get the personal items - furniture, modules, etc done.
I will look at the sites for the replacement value and then give them the original purchase price - probably printed on the modules, as well as the replacement cost.
Thanks

So, Karlan's going to contribute 200 gold to the buying of a Cure Light Wand to give to celstra for group use. Anyone else care to chip in?
Also I sincerely hope Gregori didn't scare off Ivan. Gregori is a wretched disgusting human being but he's still under my reins and isn't likely to cave anyone in the groups face in.

The Highland Games was a great success! I ended up playing three solo hour long sets on the Friday. I felt like I played really well and it was really well received. On Saturday I coordinated a two hour workshop, led a harp ensemble rehearsal. Led the ensemble in performance on Saturday afternoon, directed a harper's circle later in the afternoon and then performed in concert with two other harpists that evening. Sunday was the easy day in that I just administrated the harp competitions. It was a real blast! I usually volunteer my time for this event and I was not expecting to get paid, but I sold about 25 CDs. So that was a big plus!

Very nice! I used to love playing bass guitar, but unfortuantely I was never very good, lol. I need to start playing again. Cool that it went off so well. Congrats.
Yeah Stiehl, I am not from the south so things are already gonna be weird, haha. But, it will be nice to be back in the states for a minute. I plan getting to Italy at some point. I really want to get stationed at Vincenza. If Germany didn't get deployed every couple of days, I would really like to go there also. Oh well, catch train up there and do some visiting. Any of you guys anywhere near Augusta, GA?
