In first it kind of used Thaco technically it was a chart. I think second had the more formal Thac0 right (I skipped second went from 1st to 3rd)

When I played 2e, one of the other players had a little chime for whenever he scored a hit. He called it his "Thac0 Bell".

The one geek pickup line I used to use was
"So... tell me of your homeworld, Usul"
Most guys never got the reference. If they did, and if it made them laugh, I knew they were my kind of nerdy.
