Hey Matthew,

I pre-ordered both TOHC and ST as well, and it hasn't mangled my ability to download any of the Slumbering Tsar parts thus far.

(Or am I not getting your meaning correct?)

In the black. I've just not had time to DL the latest ST. Been too busy on Thedas ;-)

"In the black?" Um... okay. (I think I understand what you mean (DL=download; and of course ST=Slumbering Tsar) "Too busy on Thedas." Is that a computer game?

Cheers!

As you should!! Since you are getting a free megadungeon adventure from the FrogGod, not that I am jealous or anything...(so jealous)

Ordered!

I am going with the Hardcover PF version, but I do want to get my hands on the S&W PDF version.

Oh, me too.

I know I've dipped into the books for some 'special' treats for my players, and the 3.5 pdfs for Vol 1 is just short of 10Mb. Not something to carry on a USB stick for the sake of 2-3 creatures.

Pre-ordered, PFRPG.

To the folks like me who ordered before there were two links: I know it's been said before, but make sure you e-mail Bill to let him know which book you want. He replied to me to let me know everything's ok.

Sorry, I forget that not everyone speaks Matthew fluently.

Yes. 'in the black' = on target = bullseye, etc. I think I learned that term from a Mercedes Lackey book.

DL = Download, and ST = Slumbering Tsar

Thedas = Dragon Age world (litterally, Thedas came about as the writers were shorthanding 'The Dragon Age Setting' as TheDAS and the name stuck.)

(and, I was able to download the latest Slumbering Tsar chapter yesterday)

Hm. I'm going to have to e-mail again as I have yet to receive a reply. Thanks.

When I emailed him to say which version I wanted and to ask about the lack of shipping charges on my payment, I just got a quick reply saying he was a bit overwhelmed with order related stuff. No further contact so far.

I get the impression there were a lot of people jumping on this pre-order... and it might be a while before everything gets sorted.

Heh heh... thanks for the translation Matthew. :)

I've heard of Dragon Age... just wasn't aware that Thedas was its name. Neat bit of trivia there too.

And... back on topic... I've been reading/skimming ST and I think it is a great mega-adventure... I'd like to start this up for a group... if I can find the time. :) (And no no... before anyone asks... I have zero skill at GM-ing PbP games... I'm more of an in-person GM). If I did Slumbering Tsar, I'd work up something for level 1 through 6 (likely place it in/near the Worldwound... and have the ST saga unfold from there). At least that's what my thoughts/musings about this are right now.

~Dean

PS: Oops... I said "back on topic" and realized after all that... this is about ToHC... not ST. :P

I did get a fast response when I asked about shipping for ST and ToH (I preordered both at the same time), but I'm sure that there has been a ton of interest generated in the Tome (and probably ST too).

FWIW, the response was that it would be sorted later.

wow... i didn´t know that there was a 3 volumes of tome of horrors, i only has the 1st one....

aaaaaa
i´ll remember that cuty gorgimera, and that beautiful gorgona maiden... crawling up to youre eyes...

maybe t´will be a good idea put them in a single boock...

some one tells to jason bulman, that iron heroes rules where a good start to make something, i never seen that

Tomb of Abysthor by Necromancer Games works great for this and is what I used for my own ST campaign.

If there ever was a Necro product that demanded a PFRPG revamp its ToA (maybe LCoB too).

Agreed, which reminds me, I should work on updating my copy of Tomb of Absythor to Pathfinder.

However I really don't know what the second acronym is. Perhaps this is why it is best not to use acronyms so people not on the same page as you can still understand you. :)

Dark Archive

LCoB is Lost City of Baracus.

My current sunday group is just about to finish up ToA and I'm trying to decide whether to have them go into Slumbering Tsar of Rappan Athuk.

But back on topic. The damned Frog God and his peons are releasing stuff sooo fast coupled with all my Piazo subscriptions i will have to wait until next month to pre order a copy of the PF and S&w versions of the Tome of Horrors Ultimate edition!!

OH! I even have that book. As for what to have your group go through next, why not let them decide? Just have several reasons to go to each one and see what they pick. Besides, according to GAV (I think), they can link if you are creative with portals. As for your last comment, everyone is releasing excellent sounding material much faster than my non-budget will allow, alas.

I figured as much. I guess I'll remain patient for several days. Nevertheless, they have my money and I'm going to get my book. :)

Two copies preordered.

/me waits patiently....

Tomb of Absythor

This is a 3.0 DnD edition module. I am unaware if anyone updated it to 3.5 or not. I know it hasn't been converted to Pathfinder RPG.

Ok, I would like to preorder (althoug paying half the price again for shipping is steep - I hope you guys have better packaging than Paizo does...), but I do not have a PayPal account.
After typing my email adress, FGG redirects me to the PayPal "Sorry your last action could not be completed" site.

Any ideas?

Ruyan.

Is it August yet? :D

Chris

Not yet. ;) You'll know it's nearing August the more incoherent I get. The project has already reduced Greg to sentences of one word or less.

I'm the guy who will be laying this monster out, if you guys want me to I can keep you up to date with where I am in the process once it starts.

That'd be cool. It would almost give us a countdown of sorts knowing what monster you're on...

Just preordered ToH and threw in a Slumbering Tsar subsciption to boot! =)

Thanks tax return!

Sorry if this is going to be redundant info, but I'm curious and I want other customers to know as well.

When I preorodered the Tome, there was no option on the order form to choose the Pathfinder or S&W version.

I responded to my email reciept stating that I wanted the Pathfinder version.
I have not recieved a confirmation email in return so I'm going to try to email them again to make sure.

Does someone have the correct email I should be sending this to?

(I feel kinda dumb but I gotta make sure.)

Send e-mails to bill[at]talesofthefroggod[dot]com.

He's swamped with order deliveries on some of our recent releases right now, so he may not be getting back to everyone quickly. However, rest assured you WILL hear from him because he's not going to know which version to send you otherwise, and he won't just be dropping random books in boxes I promise.

If you've gotten an e-mail to him, then you should be fine. If you need a response for peace of mind, you should hear from him at some point, but no harm in pinging him from time to time at the e-mail above if you need to.

I know that's not the same as a response from Bill, but I hope that helps some. :-)

By the way, Bill, Greg, Scott, et al, are doing a great job on this. I am so glad to see it happening.

Woot! I just pre-ordered by copy of the Tome of Horrors Complete PF!

I did want to double-check though; the ordering instructions said to only select a shipping option for softcover books - since this is a hardcover, I didn't select one (being in the continental US).

Was that the right way to order it? I do want the physical book shipped to me, so hopefully I didn't just make a mistake in that regard.

Hmmm, that is weird because I don't believe there is a soft cover version--only a hardcover and pdf (I could be wrong, but I haven't heard of it if there is).

That is probably worth an e-mail to Bill as well I'm afraid, since I don't knwo the answer. I apologize for all the confusion on this. Unfortuantely I am not computery enough to sort it all out and Bill handles fulfillment, but I can promise you that you will get what you are wanting in regards to orders. Let us know if you have concerns. FGG takes a page from Necromancer Games when it comes to customer support, and Bill and Clark never skimped on anyone...it may just take a bit to get sorted out. We're still several months out from publication so it should all be resolved in plenty of time for the actual shipping.

And speaking of Necromancer Games...

Thanks, Clark! That means a lot coming from you. And it's great to see you back among the undead. I'm excited to see what you're going to do in your forthcoming project that you mentioned. Necromancer lives on in its varied incarnations! :)

Thanks for the update Greg. I'll email Bill since now I'm worried that I just ordered a $90 PDF. :\

That won't be the case either way, I assure you. Bill would just have to get with you for clarification before shipping anything. We may not be great on setting up the computer buttons (apparently), but FGG isn't going to screw anyone over. :)

Will there be any creature in this that will be usable as playable characters? (Ie races that use classes instead of Hd?)

Yes. If it got player character treatment in the original three books, it will receive the same in the TOH Complete.

Yes. If it got player character treatment in the original three books, it will receive the same in the TOH Complete.

Won't that take a bit more work, since there's no level adjustments anymore? Will they be balanced out with the PFRPG races?

Has to be outside the U.S. I only saw a charge for $4 S/H, IIRC.

I've e-mailed several times and no response. I'm just going to take it on faith that I'll eventually be contacted when they're about ready.

I think that our track record at Frog God Games speaks very well of itself, but thanks for your opinion.
