He's back! HUZZAH!
1. How much did you have to do with the (awesome, much more evocative, and lets-me-get-my-Mozart-on) renaming of the Queens of the Night?
2. Favorite piece of new art in the Book of the Damned?
1) Wes, Amanda, and I have all wanted to rename them for years, and part of the attraction of Book of the Damned was the opportunity to do so in a big hardcover that couldn't be easily ignored or missed, but the actual renaming had already been taking place in earlier products like Adventure Paths.
2) I'm more interested in finding out what YOUR favorite new piece of art is, but please post the answer to the book's product thread though to avoid cluttering up this thread with non-questions.

Back with more questions.
1. Are the Yakuza exclusive to Kasai and Minkai? Or they oparate in other regions of Tian Xia as well?
2. Where is General Susumu resides? The Devil subdomain suggests Hell, but I'm not sure...
1) They are not exclusive there.
2) Unrevealed.

1)Do you have any movies that you like watch every year during a particular holiday or holiday season like Halloween, Christmas, etc.?
2)Do you have a favorite video game for each gaming system you have owned? Any favorite arcade game?
3)Will you be seeing the new Blade Runner movie?
4)What other movies do you plan on seeing in theaters this year?
5)Have you seen the new Pacific Rim 2 trailer?
I already asked you to limit your questions to one per post, so I'll only answer the first one. If you want answers to the others, please re-post them individually. Sorry for the hassle, but after folks started abusing this with walls of text it got overly complex for me to answer the questions here.
1) No, I generally don't have a pattern or ritual of movies I re-watch every year like that.

One of the routes of the Path of Aganhei goes via Icestair in the Realm of the Mammoth Lords, is there an established, safe route from there onwards into the civilised world? I mean their neighbours are the Worldwound, Irrisen and Belkzen, I imagine a fair few Tian traders get eaten before making it south.
There's another path from the Linnorm Kings that joins up to the Path, and is in fact the PRIMARY pathway; the Icestair one is a secondary route. No established routes exist to the others from the Path.

Welcome Back James.
My question is when building villages for small scale adventures do you start with the important npc’s first, or do you work the opposite way i.e. unimportant npc’s first.
Thanks Arran.
I start with the map first. When it comes to populating the village, I start with NPCs who are important to the adventure(s) I'm setting in the village first, and work my way down from there to the less-important ones. The unimportant ones aren't mentioned at all! :-)

Do you have any thoughts on Shadow Sandpoint (that is, the reflection of Sandpoint on the Plane of Shadow) that you'd be willing to share with us at this time?
There is no Shadow Sandpoint. Not every Golarion feature has a Shadow Plane duplicate.
I haven't put any thought at all into what might be in the corresponding area to Sandpoint on the Shadow Plane, in fact.

And by soon, I meant now. Just finished watching it. Delightful movie!

Welcome back! Though the one question per post limit saddens me, I can live with that.
The book Thornkeep said that Baron Tervin has a spearbearer called Mathrad. I have never heard the word spearbearer before. What does a spearbearer do? Does she literally carry a spear for the baron to use? Or can I simply regard her as a bodyguard?

Treating it as a bodyguard works fine.

Ah, sorry to hear that you got the flu. Hanging with Wes and playing lots of video games sounds fun though :3
Hope you get to feeling better soon!

In games you run, how do you deal with PCs shopping for magic items? Buy what they want? Predetermined list? Something else?
At low levels I use lists generated by hand to populate the various shops. At mid to high levels I let them do what they want with the standard city GP limits, but generally limit them to Core Rulebook items with non-Core Rulebook items having only a chance to be available (what chance that might be I ad hoc at the spur of the moment).

My first question's actually a follow-up.

WoootOf all the major outsider factions (Angels/Demons/Devils/Qliphoth/etc) which do you find the most engaging and fun to right about and which do you find the least?
thankies :)
Demons are the most engaging and fun to write about.
Archons are the least interesting for me to write about.
What would make archons interesting?
How interesting are angels to write up?
I'll do my best to keep any lists I have short and very related. Sorry if I've been bothersome with them earlier.

James, assuming you caught the new SW trailer, any thoughts on whether this is going to the high point of the new trilogy?
I haven't seen the new trailer yet, and I have no intention of seeking it out. I see lots of movies, and I assume at some point between now and December I'll see the new trailer in its natural habitat before some other movie.
I've already got tickets secured to see it, so that's not an issue.

What would make archons more interesting is to make them any other alignment, at which point that is already covered. Lawful good is my least favorite alignment. But just because lawful good and/or archons aren't interesting to me doesn't mean they're not to lots of other folks. I try to do my best to make them fit their role when I write/develop them, and I think I've done a pretty good job, but the original question was "Which ones do I find the least interesting to write about?" "Least interesting to write about" doesn't mean "Bad." It just means that I prefer writing about every other outsider race before archons.
Angels are interesting because they have a defined and obvious cultural and historical and mythological well to tap into when creating them.
Archons COULD have one, but their traditional role has been scattershot for the past few decades, and to make them fit more closely to the real-world historical word would mean tossing out a lot of them.
My problem with archons is that each individual one feels more like it should be something else.
Trumpet archons feel more like angels (as winged humanoid outsiders).
Hound archons feel more like agathions (as anthropomorphic outsiders).
Lantern archons feel more like azatas (as an outsider associated with glowing lights).
Archons maybe could have found a role as "heavily armored humanoid outsiders" but that's not what they started at. As they currently exist and have existed in the game, they're a mish-mash of other themes.

Q: if you dropped Rovagug out of his cage onto Azathoth, what would happen?
Q2: if you put Rovagug's cage up against Azathoth, would Azzy be sucked in and stuck there?
Again try to keep to 1 question per post.
I'll answer these both, but going forward, I'll only answer the first question in a post in an attempt to keep things manageable at my end.
1) A fight.
2) No.

Have you seen the Pacific Rim 2 trailer? If so what did you think?
I have not sought it out. Pacific Rim was the most disappointed I've ever been in a Guillarmo del Toro movie, and as a result I'm not that excited about the sequel. I'm much more interested in the next Godzilla movie.

I have a question that that requires a tiny bit of set up: I like to set my own homebrew worlds within the Pathfinder setting (on a world far, far away kind of deal).
With that in mind, is it against the spirit of the Pathfinder universe to have a titan that has acquired quasi-deity or demigod level status?

One of the best parts of making a homebrew setting, even if it's one that co-opts portions of published settings, is that YOUR decisions about what is and isn't in the spirit of that setting is 100% up to you. A demigod or quasi-deity titan is a cool idea and is certainly in sync with the mythology of these creatures.
