Thanks for all the kind words of concern. I am feeling better but I still feel like I am fighting down a headache. My stomach is still wonky as well. I can't wait till tomorrow so I can sit down and discuss this with my doctor. Migraines of this intensity are a new thing for me.

Perchance do you take Imitrex, or does that not do the job?

It's been a long 2 days. Went home to newton to help pack, clean, fix up my brothers apartment so he could move out today. at least one good thing about it, we(read: my mother and I) cleaned the place so well they could almost start showing it to interested future tenants. the only thing we didn't do correctly was have the carpet professionally cleaned but I did one hell of a job for what I had. if anyone needs any work done I am available for rental for household chores.

TAD is still lurking on here. He's moved on to his newly minted status of 'Creator of Sarunia' to correlate with his self-freelancing.

Lynora popped in a day or so ago. It's Orthos we're wondering about.

I'm here!

So, you're saying if people have a "job" they want "done" you will come over and "clean the mess up"?

I hope you and the doctor figure out what's going on, and you're able to get it treated.

I've only ever had a migraine once. It's not something I'd want to repeat.

I'm here! Just haven't had time to do anything more than read. I'm out at sea again and have been struggling with a significant and highly micromanaged discrepancy list resulting from a rather painful inspection. (To be clear, the ship was being inspected.) It's uncomfortable to have an admiral so intensely interested in one's daily affairs...but that's how things are at the moment.

I'm glad to be able to log on and see how everyone else is doing, even if don't have time to participate in the conversations as much as I'd like.

She went to the gym without me. I told here that I went too long without food. When I came home from tutoring, it was THAI DEATH MATCH 2010 and I just didn't need to be a part of that. Took my laptop, laid down, and did internet stuff until it passed, but I went too long without FUEL and started feeling blah.

I know. Been trying to resurrect my brother Puffy the Dinner Roll. The upcoming holidays have the dough and yeast gods nervous.
Why is it dinner rolls are targeted for violence more often than breakfast rolls?

Americans consume more bread rolls at dinner, especially during the holidays than breakfast. But, in the defense of Dinner Rolls, I think it has something to do with toast too.

I'm so glad I'm not flat bread.

Stomach stuff is not fun with a migraine, particularly with the associated pressure changes in the head wreaking havoc with the pain levels.

I hope your doc is able to help. I found Imitrex to be totally awesome and, for the moment, completely out of reach financially. It has some side effects and warnings, so scrutinize it carefully before you go with it. But if it's offered, definitely something to consider.

There are lots of preventive measures you can take and some non-drug things. Acupressure near the thumb joint and top of the orbit is actually effective (for me) for both pain and nausea - but it stops as soon as the pressure is removed. Ice can help. Avoiding some foods (and all alcohol) can help prevent them. Good luck with the doc. May he be sympathetic!

Mairkurion: Hope you are feeling better soon too.

Urizen: Hope your new regimen and dosage works well for you.

We're all fine. Well, girl dog is still throwing up, but that's kind of her hobby.

The stupid insects are still fine, too. We couldn't find the brand of bug goo our LPM was kind enough to recommend, nor anything with the safe-for-pets active ingredients. We got a trap which has, in three days, caught exactly zero of the pests at a distance of about five feet from the nest. I'm skeptical about the cinnamon oil spray, but at least our deck will smell good. *sigh* And now the Moorluck clan has buggy problems of their own. No good deed goes unpunished.
