f#&* my generation. Ungrateful a~~%##@s, the lot of them.
You’re Gen Y right Shiny?
While the situation you describe sure does make most of your classmates sound like ungrateful biatches, don’t be too hard on your generation. I’m near the tail end of Gen X, and there were certainly times through university when I felt pretty much the same. Hell, there were times that I was one of the ungrateful biatches – I’d never show that sort of obvious disrespect to a visiting lecturer, but there were plenty of times I paid no attention whatsoever in lectures, or just skipped them all together. I paid my own way through university (or more accurately continued to pay off my education for several years after I graduated), so at least I knew I wasn’t wasting anyone’s time or money but my own.
Gen Y gets a very bad rap, sometimes it’s well deserved, sometimes not. I have two young colleagues at my current work place who fall squarely into that generation, and both of them are very hard working (more so than me – they’re not on Paizo all day), very together and (as far as I know) sensible people.

There's an app for that...

~grins~ Urizen, I will get you the Paizo Gift Certificate ASAP. Thanks for the freebie!
I have no idea, but I still want it.

Those aren't the most subtle of devices...
Actually, I'm due for a phone upgrade, and I really want an internet-capable phone. We're trying to decide whether I can really justify the extra cost of the data plan.
But then I could check Paizo with impunity.
(Unless of course every time someone comes to me on my desk I'm typing away on my phone, which would probably be bad. But much less conspicuous than using the computer for it.)
Decisions, decisions...

How dare you be a voice of reason!!! These kids today are WAY WORSE than they were last generation, and the one before that, and the one before...
Since the dawn of recorded history, people have complained about the younger generations not respecting their elders, not respecting cultural institutions, etc. It doesn't mean those complaints don't have merits - they often do - but they're nothing new.

Maybe it's where I sit in my office, but I can generally get away with using an iPad. However, we move to another building on Monday, and I'll be sharing a cube with another contractor, so that might be that for me. :(

Anyway, I'm off to bed. Later all!

They don't seem to have touched down. I heard the sirens and went out on my balcony and looked around like a doofus, then shrugged my shoulders and came back in. Later, I started getting the phone calls and FB messages.
There's a picture out there of one poking down through the clouds over by Reunion Tower. That's over a major traffic exchange, so good thing it didn't completely descend.

Does anyone have any ideas for some good names for a Treant and a Faerie Dragon? Both are male.
*blink*
Treants I usually go Tolkienesque like Treebeard. Some possibilities:
- Mossbark
- Tanglebranch
- Swampfoot
- Wildroot
Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream work well for faerie dragons:
- Puck
- Snug
- Peaseblossom
- Mustardseed
- Cobweb
*blink*

Thanks. I think I will go for Tanglebranch for the Treant, but for the dragon, Ruckus will be his name.

Gooooooooooooooooooooooood morning Fawltyhouse!!!!
Man, second job sucked last night. School has started, and the bars are quite empty. I did find out I could become a sex educator of sorts at a local sex toy shop, something that has me intrigued. I'm not sure if I have the time, though...
In terms of writing, thanks to Taig's question yesterday I've been reexamining the Paladins of Freehold and feel I've turned a corner. I've become a lot more honest with myself about the themes I'm borrowing from H:TR, and so I've got to sit down this weekend and re-read my books: its the only white wolf setting I own all the material for, and I'm looking forward to reviewing things. At work, fanfiction.net material on the setting whets my appetite and keeps my mind focus. Thanks for the shot in the arm Taig and congrats on the KQ stuff!
That's about it for now. Work is piling up around me, so I better go.

H:TR?
Hunter: The Reckoning. One of the greatest RPGs I've ever encountered due to it's deep roleplaying focus and some damn good writing. It is most definitely NOT everyone's cup of tea(Forrest old buddy I'm looking at YOU, also other hardcore 2nd ed WOD fans), but whatever. And yes, I lament that the PTB at the time in White-Wolf started it off as a weird psuedo-internet hoax.

Morning, all. What did I miss?
Well, the team had a farewell luncheon for Alex, since he was returning to school to get his Master's degree in alien communication. Meanwhile, at the downtown office, Annette and Rich were pereplexed at several charges to a special project job order number for work done by the mysterious U.N. Owen. But across town, David and Daniel were surpised to learn that they were actually triplets, and not....No, wait! That's my soap opera.

I'm glad I could help, in my own unintentional way. :)
And thanks!

I fear nothing, Aberzombie.
Except clowns, but let's not talk about that.
I was informed that FAWTL is up to #5. I'm impressed. I'll be back in 6 or 7. Keep up the great work everyone!!
Carry on. Carry on.
