Ah, cool. It's pretty effective!

Wow, we've not come back to this thread in awhile!
I'd just like to say that this has been quite a fun experience for me. I was a little worried at first that the slower pace wouldn't "feel right", but it actually works out pretty well. JZ, thanks for the maps; what sort of map-tool are you using for those?
As someone who almost never gets to play (I'm generally GM by default), this has been great!
All that said, I wonder if the shocker lizard's shock is going to hurt badly . . .
LOL. I really hope that little guy is friendly. Anyways, I agree that this is totally more fun than I expected. Thanks for running it DM JZ!

Okay, I think that the color spray, Kol charging thing could get all sorts of messed up. The spells I can cast through my bonded ring are any of the 1st-levels I have in my spellbook. I was thinking of casting a silent image of a troglodyte to distract the big trog and lure him to the stairs.
Now, my character knows a bit about these creatures; they speak Draconic, and so does she. She can have the "illusionary trog" say something like (although Lycia will be speaking instead of the illusion), "Come quick! Soft-skins have invaded the tower!" or "The prisoner has escaped!" or something random like that. If we can lure it toward the stairs (it only really gets a Will save if it interacts with the illusion), Kol and Delphey can be at the north and south walks, ready to flank the guy when he gets near. I can either be behind the illusion, laying low where he can't see me (through the illusion), or just down the stairs, ready to come up and help with my bolts.
If we can get a solid round of surprise, with Delphey and Kol flanking (doing a bunch of damage), we'll have a good shot.
What do you think?

Yeah, I'm just worried about getting totally pasted by that big ol' croc; if it has a good perception, it'll know I'm there long before. Should we wait for Kol's thoughts on the matter? Personally, I think I'll be going to bed (got up early this morning). Would you mind if we put off this battle til tomorrow?
