Oops. I meant WHO else has dissed the dwarves. Sorry for the confusion.
No one that I recall. but that convo took place so long ago.

Just look up the Dwarves of Golarion thread. You'll see J.J. display his dislike for them. I only made a remark on a different thread I started about where's the love for the Halfings as the Elves and Dwarves got their guides with Gnomes and Orcs on the horizon.

Going to watch Ghostbusters with my kid. He saw it in a store a while back and insisted that we see it, so I requested it from Netflix. I only kinda liked it the first time around, so I've been putting off watching it. Sigh. But now the kid is coming down with the same cold I have so I need an excuse to keep him resting. :/

I'm jonesing last night for cancelling Netflix. *twitch* *twitch*

Have fun everyone. I am going to take a break from the boards for a while. Talk to you all later.

Sorry, man. Local library?

Hmm... What to order from the Chinese restaurant...

Of course, every company handles it differently, but I have heard of companies that don't fight unemployment claims unless they have something ironclad, because it can take company resources to respond to the claims, go to hearings, etc. I'm hoping that's your company. (I have also heard of companies that fight every claim tooth and nail, so I'm hoping that's not your employer.)

Replying to this the second time (not sure where the other went as I didn't time out. *shrug*

Speaking pragmatically, it would be to their disadvantage to fight my unemployment claim as they also hold my first and second mortgage. Why go through all the trouble? Give me half my pay and let me at least try to make my payments while I find another job. But I know they don't have anything on me in writing with regard to written or verbal warnings. They'll refer to the conduct policy that's signed each year, but having been in a supervisory/managerial position with the company in the recent past, I'm well aware of the steps that has to be taken to get from a verbal to termination.

I got my unemployment claim filed, so now it's time to get that resume crafted. *cracks knuckles*

You know as well as I do that the local library just doesn't have all those hard to find obscure films that Netflix offers. :P

Besides, I do have enough DVDs around here I've yet to even bother to watch and lord knows how many books I've gotten from HPB recently. Looks like I'm going to have to deep six that vice until I'm back on my feet.

The next tough task? Trying to figure what I'm going to do with my subscriptions here. Gonna be a tough call!

Yeah, I hear ya. The Dallas Public library branches have gotten worthless (admittedly, I haven't been bothered to hit the main library). When I lived in NJ, I could find all kinds of stuff between Princeton, Plainsboro, and West Windsor. I wasn't sure what they were like in your area.

Let's show this prehistoric b#%+@ how we do things downtown... THROW IT!

Dang, Sharoth, everything okay?

Our local library in the town I live in is not a networked branch of the metropolitan library in Columbus. I think I stopped in there only time to pick up a registration form to vote when I moved out here seven years ago. I have a problem borrowing books because I like keeping them to refer to later. ;)

I wondered that myself. Man, I hope he hangs in there. I sure am trying!

Actually I find people of either gender of that age to be pretty much annoying, with some exceptions of course. :/

Those are the most trouble. Mature enough that you don't have to say no, but not mature enough to not give you problems.

Or at least that's what they're claiming to be in all of those films that features them....

Oh, after the latest round of girls (?) sending me friend requests, I wanted to post that as my status, but decided not to.
