Son of a Khatru noble, he entered the university to get away from his family's demands for a military career (the opressive regimentation repelled him).
He fell in love with the daughter of a Kath house noble; one Ethisha Kath, a ballerina and daughter of House Kath's Lady Devina Kath. His attempts to romance her have made both houses unhappy.
Things like ardent (but tasteful) love notes; singing at her window (run off by dogs); sneaking into her home in disguise (mistook her mom for her, had to make a daring window escape); well, it worked in all the stories.
Met Railina once, mistaking her for Ethisha and gave her a hug from behind before realizing, then run off by Chelin Karos.
He has met Albrek Dwarfson in the past when Albrek was a Acolyte of Lothian and Tony was attending church semi-regularly then...
He knows Pol Voron because he comes to the Arena gladiators to hire trainers for his fencing skills and they seem to get along well. He is wondering aloud if perhaps flashy feats of swordsmanship in the Arena will attract Ethisha's eye...
Alright, I'm having a lot of trouble actually getting to sit down and really work on something today as RL is trying to be as difficult as possible, but what I was thinking for my background is below(it sounds kind of like my character may be a link to a few of you since he would know people from multiple districts having been a town guard).
Background
From as early in his childhood as he could remember, Chelin showed much of the obsessive behavior that often permeates his people, but it showed in an odd way to him. Rather then being a focus on the mechanical or engineering as many of his more mentally focused kin do, or finding beauty in the chaos of nature, or even compulsively collecting some sort of object, his focus always was on the concept of honor.
From his first stories of paladins and the knights of old, he worked his best to try and live his life as they did in all ways. His word was as good as his life, he would not lie, protecting anyone who he could, these were all traits he lived by. The bigger folk thought it was amusing, a gnomish child dressed in armor he had gathered from parts, but it was worrying to his folks.
When he was older, his only clear option was to join the guard of the city, a duty he served well and to the best of his abilities. It was never a position he was truly happy with however, too many times were guards expected to look the other way for a noble, or to simply ignore something for a greater crime.
Still he served the guard valiantly until one day when he met a woman who had lost her memory after some sort of accident at sea. Chelin was instantly enthralled by her, though he couldn't be sure why. Perhaps, with her missing memory she truly is one of the maidens who needs rescuing from the stories of old in his mind.
Seeing her plight, he immediately pledged himself to aid her in recovering. Since then, he has resigned his post in the guard, something that they were mostly relieved about now that they don't have to deal with his focus on duty now. It seems that the best way to resolve the sorceresses memory issues would involve either great magic, knowledge, or at least the coin to procure these from another caster, he has begun to reach out through the various contacts he has made from his time as a guard to try and form up a company, either with those he knew, or at least friends of friends.

You won't get much swordsmanship from me Tony, I use a scythe. Though I suppose you'd be one of the few nobs Pol would have a drink with.
I was thinking of physical training and sparring. After all, if you're going into the arena, you are going to face many different weapons...
Apparently, my character's profile is not dot-worthy. Retrying with a post from my regular persona.
I have heard that the board must be more than 50 posts before people start getting dots.
I've found if I use my main profile, it will usually take the dot.
Justice the Pony has been added to my profile.
It looks like RL has calmed down a bit finally, so I should be able to finish getting my background/description and profile cleaned up today.

quick question for everyone how do we want to handle initiative not being rolled by someone. I know in an old pbp I was in the dm rolled it if the person didn't post within a couple of hours. Just want your prospective on this.
Hey, you're the GM. If they haven't posted for a day or two and they're holding up the combat, feel free to control them for a bit. I won't object.
I would say that would be fine. Anytime most of the party has posted and someone is running behind, the DM should take over, and roll for the character. As we spend more time playing the DM will have a good idea of what the character would normally do in a situation. Sometimes I can't post during the day because of work, but many days I can.
I urge most strongly that the GM handle all initiative rolls and order. If we have to roll initiative, it will more than double the length combat, and people will wait more, delaying the game.

The only reason I say this is its been four or so hours since I posted initiative and actions for round one and Railina/half-porc still hasn't done either.... just mainly wanted everyones thoughts on this. I will take your advise Camris, under consideration might do this if combat starts to lag badly.

I recommend waiting at least a day before making someone's actions for them. Give people some more time to respond, common courtesy, etc.
I have no qualms about the DM taking over after a day. If rolling initiative for all is gonna speed it up, by all means do it. Railina would prefer to stay back 30ft and pelt foes with her cold ray or acid splash, and if necessary, fight with her rapier with mage armor up.

as I said before we will see how things work these first couple of fights, mayhaps I will roll all init for the next encounter that comes up and see if this speeds it up any, definitely agree with no action for a day i will use DM fiat and do there action for them or they stand around doing nothing and are skipped :X
Actually, I better start detailing future possible actions for my char, since I'm out during the times you guys are most likely to be posting. Feel free to roll anything for me Thas, if a good portion of the people past my initiative count has already moved. Or you really need to. Not much of a consequence.
That said, Pol will be doing controlled bursts of rage, and will not use power attack until...well, later. Will expound on this later.

I say, if we get something one person in particular could use, they get it. Other than that, just make sure everyone gets a roughly-equal amount of stuff and we should be just fine and dandy. Besides, we can wait a little longer to divvy up the treasure.
Works for me. My group always wants to dice for things that multiple people want. I hate that.

Hey All, Sorry for not posting since friday had some RL going on; will post in IC thread around Noon after I get back from church. Let me know what the next step is. Are you all going to go scoop out the warehouse or something else entirely? post in this thread and let me know otherwise I will go with the last mention plan of attack which was you all going and scooping out the warehouse.

Just wanted to see if all okay as several people haven't posted since last friday. I know I didn't have much time over the weekend till Sunday but concerned as about three people haven't post since friday or before, let me know whats up I need to have some response as this is holding up the over all game that and I don't want to send the group into a combat and overwhelm them cause a few peeps are posting. let me know

wanted to let everyone know I am having computer issues at home, my laptops power supply died on me yesterday and the battery is busted too, getting replacements but won't have them till friday at the earliest will post as soon as I get it back up and running the longest it will be is next monday will continue to check on the game from work but won't be able to post very much if at all. Thanks will let you all know when I know. keep discuss attack plan.

Just wanted to update ya all again with what going on, my replacement power supply didn't come in friday, should be here monday, will be picking it up after work and then try to post around 530-600pm cst; that evening to get everything caught up. Sorry about the hold up. been itching to get this back up and running but don't have access here at work to my files at home. will let you know if anything comes up
