Son of a Khatru noble, he entered the university to get away from his family's demands for a military career (the opressive regimentation repelled him).
Unfortunately, house rivalries followed him there as well.
He fell in love with the daughter of a Kath house noble; one Ethisha Kath, a ballerina and daughter of House Kath's Lady Devina Kath. His attempts to romance her have made both houses unhappy.
His attempts involve things like ardent (but tasteful) love notes; singing at her window (run off by dogs); sneaking into her home in disguise (mistook her mom for her, had to make a daring window escape); well, it worked in all the stories
His flashy style of fencing also irritates the more traditional styles favored by the houses. He often turns a match into a scene from the Three Musketeers (From 1975, you know, the good one)
