NEWS
Sean,
I'm guessing you're one of those people who "doesn't like to make a fuss," and maybe everybody knew about this except for me, but the above post by Vic expresses my sentiment exactly: I don't normally put the words "heart surgery" and "minor" in the same sentence. Because of that, and since I could not find a thread for this already, here it is: this is not meant to pry, but merely to allow the community to express their best wishes for your speedy recovery and ongoing good health, whatever the condition and procedure were.
For myself, please accept by solicitations and prayers on your behalf. Take care!
Yours,
M.
Yikes. Just on top of the John Hughes* news.
Support and good-luck vibes sent your way, Mr. Reynolds.
*he passed away due to a heart attack
I wish you the speediest of recoveries, Sean!
Best wishes for a quick recovery, Sean!
Get better soon, Sean! We miss you! ~thinks~ Damn, is this what you guys and gals over at Paizo have to do to get a vacation? ~GRINS~ Best wishes and a speedy recovery, Sean!
There's a link in the Qadira Companion thread for more info.
Whoa, our idea of "cool things" vary at this point, Sean!
EDIT: Good man, Joela.
Oh lord, now Sean has another potential line for the ladies at the cons: "Let me show you my scar". ;)
Hope you recover well and quickly, Sean!

Hey, Sean, you and my grandmother have something in common now! AWESOME! Get well soon!
Oh wow. I'd heard you'd went off-road, but damn man!
Sending some good vibes your way. I wish you a speedy recovery.
EDIT: So what'd you draw on your groin to freak the doctors out?!
Okay, since no one else said anything about it.
Does this experience give Mr. Reynolds an adventure idea? ;D
Best wishes for a speedy recovery Sean and excellent work on Curse of the Moon: New Rules for Lycanthropes (and a variety of other works too, of course)
Get well soon! Enjoy your recovery!

What? ;-)
Oh yeah, as has been mentioned, take it easy for a couple of days... I'm sure those doctors actually learn something useful during their long education, so one should listen a little bit to what they say.
Sean, i just used a wish on your good health...
Everything's gonna be fine now.
Sursum Corda :)
Lord Fyre wrote: Does this experience give Mr. Reynolds an adventure idea? ;D A mad gnomish captain is about to complete a ritual to enchant his ship for launch and only a group of (equally mad?) adventurers can stop him. The major snag is that the gnome was also the royal cirurgien; he went in through a blood vessel in the young queen's thigh and assembled the minaturized vessel like a ship-in-a-bottle near her heart. The final part of the ritual involves using the life force from the heart to ignite the spelljamming furnace and restore the ship to full-size (killing the queen). Equipped with an Apparatus of Kwalish (sp?), the adventurers are shrunk by the court archmage to travel through her bloodstream to hopefully reach her heart and stop the mad gnome.
Nah, too far-fetched. ;)
Yes, get better soon! But not too soon (i.e., don't rush it)!
Good luck, Sean, and best wishes! Hope all goes well!
Yeah man, just take it easy for a while. AND best wishes!
May your surgery go smoothly and you recover quickly and without complications...
If I ever meet you in RL, I'll buy you a jolt cola and a cappuccino made with a double shot of espresso, Water Joe and caffeinated creamer to celebrate ability to consume caffeine without palpitations. :)
Sean, hope all went well and this solves the whole SVT thing.
Scary story about passing out whilst driving! Definately sounds like the right call to get the surgery.
Best wishes, and get well soon! =)
Here's to a speedy recovery! Be well!
Hmm. I prescribe a holiday in the UK to recuperate, round about July next year, when we (hopefully) have PaizoCon UK...
Oh, umm, best wishes as well. ;)
Hey Sean! Stay away from those alignment charts and you'll be just fine!
All kidding aside, I hope all is well and you are doing 100% fantastic in no time.
I know what it's like to have your body betray you. :(
Best wishes for a speedy recovery and good luck with any cute nurses. ;-)
Count me as one of those who believes the phrase "minor heart surgery" to be an oxymoron. All the best for a speedy recovery, and if I understand what I read in your Livejournal correctly, congratulations on the return of caffeine to your life!
Get better soon!
Take Care!
Best wishes for a speedy recovery, Sean!

Glad you're doing well. My prayers for you.
I had the same / similar thing done when I was in high school. Exercise, stress, and coca-cola would all put me on the floor and into an 'episode'. It took a while to work out something was actually wrong, and it wasn't just my bookish constitution.
For the initial test they used four catheters, two just under collarbone, two in the groin to get to all four chambers of the heart.
Did you get to watch the wires moving through your veins on the telly box?
And when they used the fuse / microwave probe did it feel like A SWARM OF BEES REALLY REALLY ANGRY AND REALLY REALLY INSIDE YOUR CHEST?
I salute you, my brother. Rest up and get well soon.
Best wishes and get well soon!
First, get well soon.
Second, who knew Sean had a heart?
Third, did you have to fill out an environmental impact statement after driving into a wetland? ;-)
Hey Sean-
I hope everything goes better than expected and of course, that your surgeons and nurses are beautiful, female and available.
Get well soon and best wishes.
I hope you're feeling well enough to do completely inappropriate things soon, Sean!

I just can't get over the 'passing out at the wheel story'. I mean, giving up caffeine would be a major life change for me, and torture to my taste buds, but passing out while driving? In Dallas, the story probably wouldn't end so well...
I hope for a speedy recovery Sean!
Take it easy and get well soonish! :-)
