It is much too early. If this were the regular school year, I'd just be rolling out of bed about now. And the kidlet would have to get up at 8. Instead, summer school starts early and he rides the bus instead of walks, so I've already been up for an hour. Ugh. I do not like seeing any time on the clock that starts with a 6 and includes the am descriptor.

As a rule, I hate any clock time with the am descriptor, unless it is after I have been up all night from the pm descriptor...

Oh and I have to be up at 5am tomorrow morning to be at work by 6am... I hate that sooo much!

Ms. Solnes, Ms. Lynora? The President would like to see you in his office to go over some new "interrogation" techniques.

(That should get them out of the room)

Sigh. Why do we always get interrupted just when things start to get good?

Me thinks its a conspiracy!

8 am is about the time I usually go to bed, but that will end in a month

Third shift or university student?

A Buddha

In Tokyo in the Meiji era there lived two prominent teachers of opposite characteristics. One, Unsho, an instructor in Shingon, kept Buddha's precepts scrupulously. He never drank intoxicants, nor did he eat after eleven o'clock in the morning. The other teacher, Tanzan, a professor of philosophy at the Imperial University, never observed the precepts. Whenever he felt like eating, he ate, and when he felt like sleeping in the daytime he slept.

One day Unsho visited Tanzan, who was drinking wine at the time, not even a drop of which is suppposed to touch the tongue of a Buddhist.

"Hello, brother," Tanzan greeted him. "Won't you have a drink?"

"I never drink!" exclaimed Unsho solemnly.

"One who does not drink is not even human," said Tanzan.

"Do you mean to call me inhuman just because I do not indulge inintoxicating liquids!" exclaimed Unsho in anger. "Then if I am not human, what am I?"

"A Buddha," answered Tanzan.

Hey, now! That sounds like a typical workday for me, but I've been getting up early like that since I was in 5th grade. Which, of course, means that after 25 years, you get used to it.

Er, but I won't be able to let you have those interns back until tomorrow. Erasing memories is sooo time consuming. It's like an hour at least for every minute gone. We're still working on that technology.
