This is the best thread ever.

Agreed. In the Grand Skein of Things, always remember to Knit One, Neil Peart Two.

Wahoo! Tomorrow is Ragnarok! A holiday any true Slaad would enjoy. Who wants to watch the twilight of the gods with me?

I've got front-row tickets to the big ThorDown event, yeeessssss.

Reigning champion and chaotic exemplar extraordinare Jormungandr against up-and-coming challenger Thor. It'll be quite the show.

I wonder if we can throw "eggs" at the participants, like they do in hockey tournaments?

I'll being exploding cake!

Hopefully this will be a better show than that mayan fiasco

Over this past weekend I was shown the Maelstrom anew. Even for an old slaad like me, there is surprise and wonder to be had, yeeessss.

There is Chaos, blessed holy Chaos, purest Limbo. And against all odds, it is of mortal make. And against all odds, it is succeeding.

Praise Helix and the Holy Anarchy. Let madness reign.

This almost makes up for the false alarm Ragnarok.

Yea. Ragnarok sucked. All I did was "egg" cosplayers in viking suits and serve exploding cake.

Did it come with buttered popcorn?

You know, I never thought to ask.

This weekend, I had a somewhat-inebriated extraplanar octopus offer me a basket of Spring Equinox carob-coated turnips... but I may have hallucinated it.

Excuse me. I was aiming for a seizure.

Do straving anacondas also gyre and gimble on the wabe?

They do not. But they are known for whiffling through the tulgey woods.

{ponders upon why a poodle is like a writing desk}

Haven't seen or heard from the slaadlings in a while, I wonder if they're not causong too much trouble in Las Vegas.

I went to Vegas once. I was a hooker.

Did you also get lined up and sunk?

And M'aiq, I think you're lying.

Some say Ambrosia Slaad is Slaad-Barr, some say M'aiq is a Liar. Don't you believe either of those things.

No. I was too busy selling my body to tourists.

You were playing strip poker weren't you? If so, where did you get your clothes.

From the dry pantry, where else?

There really is a raven outside my window just now. And it's being quite vocal.

I had a passive-aggressive raven come in through my window last night.

Quoth the raven: "Nevermind".

We have a pair of ravens who some back every year to nest in one of the oak trees to the southwest of our house. They love to sit on the roof and taunt the cats. Given that a sudden, increased resemblance to the appearance and/or behavior of a writing-desk would in all likelihood deprive the raven's mate and chicks of food and parenting, I can't really encourage the phenomenon. Although I imagine that the result would be gleeful yowls of feline laughter.

The similarity between a raven and a writing desk is mostly its behavior and positioning. Not so much the appearance.

I have a hard time swallowing that one, just to warn you.
