As you know, we're rolling on to the end of this experiment. I'd like to thank you for bearing with me as I bludgeon my way through tracking effects and whatnot (often very ineptly).
That said, I suspect a lot of the problems I (and perhaps you too) have encountered wouldn't be problems if these were characters we'd all played for a while and adapted to. If nothing else, it has proved, to me at least, that epic does work. My personal jury is still out on the effectiveness of all the monsters, and I'd be inclined to tweak, but the pc builds definitely do what they're supposed to do.
While I really don't especially want to run another epic adventure from cold, this does seem like a good group. Would anyone like to go on to something else?
"Something else" is unspecified at this point, but I'm very open to suggestions. If anyone has a secret yearning to play something 4e, bring it out and let's hear it.

Yeah, this probably would of gone smoother if we've been playing these characters for the past 21 levels. Still, it was a fun game, and I'll be sad if/when it ends.
In other words, there just aren't enough 4e games on these boards and I've already got three characters sitting around unused. (Four if you count that evil Drow Warlock) I don't want another one sitting around.

I'd be quite happy to run something else 4e, certainly. Like Davi I've got a profile full of pcs who never really got to do much and I feel the pain.
Let's see how a few more feel and play with some ideas. I've managed to convert adventures from earlier editions before and could do so again. Throw some suggestions my way. It may spark something.

Li'remean Lurean |

I haven't been with you all since the beginning but I have enjoyed my time here immensely. I would be interested in continuing a 4e campaign or starting something new. If I continued with Lurean, I would want to tweak a few things.

Looks to me like we have enough enthusiasm to go on to something else. Laz hasn't expressed a preference either way yet, but even if he's not interested, I can think of a couple of 4e diehards who might want to come in on this.
OK. I'll have think and see if I can come up with a list of stuff to chuck at you all. Xabulba's idea is quite appealing, although dropping back to level 1 would be an almighty shock.
How about mid paragon, so you can go on your journeys towards your epic destinies? That feels more manageable to me. It would give us all a chance to get a better handle on the powers and the characters. Then maybe work our way into epic again, via a different route.
Pat, that may be too high for you, which I'd entirely understand. With your penchant for playing wizards, that's an awful lot of stuff to keep track of unless it's been built up gradually.

Heh. Thanks, but I'd be good -- I'll just try some variety. It wouldn't be Lav, then, but that's fine.

Davi The Eccentric |

Well, thanks to the new errata, I can't both wear hide armor and get Armor of The Faith. Mind if I just wait until after this adventure is done with until I drop 3 from my AC and change out about 3 of my feats?
EDIT: Oh, strange thing they forgot to errata; the suggested at-wills for the ensnaring swordmage still include Stalker's Strike. That's not a swordmage at-will.

Folks, I am planning to run a reduced version of Halls of the Mountain King if any of you would be interested. This is the latest project from Open Design and looks good. It's theoretically levels 8-12, but I reckon on first reading that level 9 seems like a decent starting point.
I have two places pre-booked, but am posting this here, on Pat's River King thread and on Pat's Keep on the Shadowfell thread before opening it up to gamer connection. Both those games had a vested interest in it. Reckon I can take up to seven and will happily field alternates.
There's no immediate pressure as I need to do a little work on the thing first, but post on River King if you'd like to be considered. If there's huge interest, I might try running two groups, but let's see how it pans out.

Another two slots have opened up in a long-running game of mine. FR setting on a hunt for spellplague. They're currently level 7 and both their melee types have vanished for various work and computer related reasons. This is the follow on from Scepter Tower of Spellguard.
The group presently consists of
Erik the human bard - TGZ101
Perigia the genasi firemage - Dave Fryer
Brujo the moonelf swordmage - Lazaro
Cale Noor, who was playing Snaggletooth the kobold rogue, but is about to evolve into Kestrel Horne the sorcerer.
They really need a fighter. Cale has said that he is happy to turn himself into a fighter if nobody else wants to play one, so there's some flexibility here.
Anyone interested?
