Raoh signals to Bron that something is out there lurking in the dark. However, before Bron can do anything about it, three crossbow bolts whiz from the darkness. Two of the bolts continue to fly into the dark, but the third hits Uathach.
Raoh peers into the darkness hoping to see who or what shot the bolts
The bolts came from three different directions, but directly ahead of him Raoh can see a person putting down a crossbow and drawing a knife. At least you think it's a person, it also appears to have features of a rat as well.
"That's something you don't see... well ever. I see someone over there, but they look like, well a rat" Raoh voice is puzzled by the looks of the attacker.
Raoh dashes into combat. His word uncoils and flys at the rat-thing
Raoh successfully slashes the rat things chest, leaving a shallow, bleeding gash across it.
Caladan readies his bow and releases two arrows at the rat-like figures.
Two attacks at ratmen. (1d20+4=8, 1d8=4, 1d20+4=18, 1d8=7)
Uathach's strike misses his opponent, but Caladan's second arrow strikes true. The first ratman swings at Raoh but his blade does not strike true. The second ratman's does hit Uathach and cuts him across the cheek. The third ratman reloads his crossbow and shoots at Caladan, also finding his mark.
"Ugh" Uathach mutters as he's struck again, and thinks to himself, "can't take much more of this" as he shifts into a defensive stance, and try to keep them from flanking me..
Uathach warily strikes at the ratman, missing by a Chelaxian mile. 1d20+5=10
Bron rushes R2 and slashes at him with his shortsword, and misses completely.
As the ratman closes on Raoh, he whips his urumi bent on teaching the thing a lesson

"Anyone have a clue what these guys are" he calls out as he jumps out of the way of man's blade and strikes again.
Jumping back Roah slashes his blade about in a futile attempt to hit the ratman. He gestures at the thing to come at him hoping to bait into rushing at him.
Or recruit new players....there's always new players looking to pick up the game, we're in a town, so it's easy to inject new blood.
BUMP
Raoh manages to slash the rat being again. Then the creature flinches as the wound begins to close inhumanly fast.
"Yeah... this isn't good" he watches as wound closes
Uathach stays in his defensive mode, trying to fend off the rats...He attacks once more. He's too busy defending himself than attacking...
Caladan takes a shot at the rat men, and misses terribly. 1d20+6, 1d8=[4, 6], [2] Meanwhile the ratmen continue their assault, but only one manages to find it's mark, shooting Caladan in the leg. 1d20+4, 1d20+4, 1d20+6=[4, 4], [14, 4], [8, 6] for 2 damage 1d8=2 Bron also shoots and misses one of the ratmen. 1d20+4, 1d8=[6, 4], [6]
"Before you slaughter us, tell us, who do you work for? As we're clearly outmatched."
"You look smart for a human," the ratman says, "you figure it out. But I'll give you a hint. It's not who you think."
Raoh swings his blade hoping to make quick work of his target
Uathach launches another defensive attack at the one Raoh just tagged.

Raoh and Uathach both strike the ratman and between them, manage to inflict a lasting wound.
Narrowing his eyes, Caladan releases another two arrows at the ratman who shot him.
Two attacks via rapidshot at Ratman (1d20+6=13, 1d8=4, 1d20+6=23, 1d8=1)

As some of you may know already, as of the end of next week I will no longer have a job. Job hunting is going to eat up alot of my time for the forseeable future. As sad as it makes me to have to do this, I'm going to drop all my DMing duties for the time being. I wish you all the best and good gaming.
