Caladan Delathia |
When the shower stops, Caladan heads out into the street, looking up into the sky. Finding a clear view, he studies the blot intently, looking for any change from yesterday. Having stared for several minutes at the dark stain, he turns his attention to the rest of the sky, keeping his eye out for anything else unusual.
Sight based perception check if required - (1d20+11=25)
Just in case - presumably I think it's completely normal for rocks to rain down from the sky and then evaporate... :(
Uathach of Iomedae |
In the game I'm running, and in another game, we let the GM roll things like perception, inititiative etc. then you just narrate the action to us, to keep the game moving at a faster clip. it took a couple days to get all those perception checks done. I would gladly surrender my rolls in this game as well to increase the speed, it's an AP and will take a long time to run without delays waiting on a little roll.
While the others notice the sailors, Uathach seems lost in thought, perhaps he's thinking of the disappearing black rocks...
Raoh |
"I can see your problem. Can any of you prove you were enter in the tournament, perhaps a Devil's Mark?" Raoh looks among the sailors.
Perception, looking for any sign they were here yesterday (a Devil's Mark they didn't wash off, or perhaps they look familiar from the gaming tables) 1d20+11; Sense Motive to see if they're telling the truth 1d20+4=16
Depending on the reults
"If you'll hand over chips I'll check with Mr. Vancaskerkin and see about cashing you out. But you need to understand that may not happen. You should have cashed in after the robbery. And we can't be giving money to everyone who comes in claiming they were here."
Diplomacy 1d20+4=16
Bron Islar |
Perception to notice Roah and the sailors (1d20+4=14)
If Bron notices whats happening with Roah and the sailors he moves to an area to where a retreat from the sailors would be difficult. If he doesn't then he continues to walk around keeping an eye out for any thing suspicious or out of the ordinary Perception for anything else suspicious (1d20+4=17)

They do not show any signs of having recieved the Devil's Mark, which was reserved for people who were ejected from the tourny, and do have tokens from last night's event. They seem to be agitated but not dishonest. "You tell Saul that if we don't get what we want, he'll be short another hand," the leader says while putting his hand on his sword.
Raoh |
"I don't take well to threats, and I'm sure Saul does not aswell" Raoh stares confidently at the sailors.
"Now if you want to behave yourselves and wait I'll see if we can't relsove your problem. But if all you want is to threaten the staff, my friends and I will have to ask you to leave." Roah nods in Uathach's direction.
Diplomacy 1d20+4=18
Branth Bummugboar |
Branth has been watching the interaction from her post at the door. As she notices the discussion heating up, she casually walks towards the group and situates herself between Raoh and Uathach. "What's happenin' here?" she asks, standing solidly with her arms folded across her chest.
Raoh |
"See I thought we could handle this in a calm civilized manner" Raoh dodges the blow and steps back. Uncoiling his blade.
5ft step away. Disarm on the leader 1d20+5=23 (the urumi grants a +2 bonus to disarms.
If sucessful
"I going to ask you and your friends to leave. If you continue this things may get ugly"
Added inititiative rolls to my profile.
Bron Islar |
Standing on R-15 ending on L-14 providing Raoh is in the square above if not then end on L-13
Bron sees who appears to be the leader draw and swing his weapon at Roah. Bron gives a crooked smile and mutters to himself " Well now this is shaping up to be an intresting first day of work... Already get to have some fun" while unsheathing a shortsword for his main hand and a dagger for his off hand he moves to the west.
With weapons in hand Bron waits and readies his throw holding to see if the sailors retreat
if any of them comes with in 10ft will throw the dagger
Caladan Delathia |
Uathach of Iomedae |
MAP link was broken. This one should work.
WWID? (what would Iomedae do?)
Uathach draws his blade and will attempt to disarm the lead fool. Slashing his blade downward onto the hilt of his opponent.
CMB: 1d20+3=13, he fails miserably at the attempt.
Square K11...apologies, not used to using the grid yet.
Branth Bummugboar |
Branth quickly pulls the greataxe from her back and feints forward towards the lead sailor, crowding him with her massive bulk and yelling at him. "Now that was extremely rude and extremely stupid!! I'd suggest that you apologize for your mistake, take your chips, and go home!!" She pushes forward, adding through clenched teeth, "The last person who received the business end of my axe lay lifeless in a pool of blood just last night, not far from where you are standing right now."
Branth Bummugboar |
"I'd say the swords can stay here...we wouldn't want them rushing back in to cause more trouble...in fact I'll stay outside with you and read some of the Acts of Iomedae to you."
"That's quite a punishment," Branth mumbles under her breath, as she confiscates the weapons from the sailors being escorted outside by Uathach.
"I'll keep watch over this one here," she says to Raoh, indicating the leader.

"I heard that Branth...care to join us? Or shall we discuss it in the common area of our rooms this eve?"
"What? No, I've got to stay here and watch over this punk," replies Branth, indicating the lead sailor by patting him patronizingly on the shoulder.
She beams a grotesque smile over to Uatach, the smile plainly forced. "You wanna talk about religion tonight, I'd suggest goin' over to Raoh's place. I seen his soul, and it is dirty. Mine however, gets washed every now and again."
Raoh |
Returning with a sack of cashed in chips, albeit at half the price, Raoh hands the sack over to sailors leader.
"This all Saul was willing to part with. If you wouldn't have caused that scene earlier he may have cashed it for full value. I do apologize for my part in it. Perhaps if we had handled the situation more gently."
Diplomacy 1d20+4=22, just trying to calm the emotions in the room
DM Dave |
The sailors leave, not pleased with the outcome, but aware that they can't change it. As they leave, one of the greeters comes up and tells you Saul would like you to meet him at the center podium. Other staff goes around a conveys the same message to the rest of the group. Once everyone is together, Saul jumps up on the podium. "Ladies and gentlemen. I would like to introduce you to my new partners, the heroes of Riddleport," He says. "I am also announcing that starting tomorrow, the Gold Goblin is enforcing a strict 'no weapon' policy. Tonight, enjoy yourselves and forget your troubles, drinks are on the house." Leaning over, Saul whispers to you, "Of course the no weapons policy doesn't apply to employees and staff."
Branth Bummugboar |
Branth nods. "Course it doesn't. That would be silly. It would make enforcing the no-weapons policy a little more difficult, wouldn't it?" After a second, she adds with an air of pride, "I could still do it, mind you... but Raoh over there might have a hard time without his special friend the coily blade." She grins at Raoh, clearly satisfied with herself for having gotten in two digs at her friend in such a short period of time.
Raoh |
"Heh, your just upset over the last time you tried to handle it Branth. Getting the blade coiled around feet like that and tripping in the 'drink'." A broad grin quickly appears and disappears as Uathach speaks.
"We haven't been properly introduced, I am Raoh. I'm sure you've already gotten to know my friend Branth. And who might you be "Mr. Holier-than-though?"
Bron Islar |
"Hey Big B" Brons says turning to Branth "how goes it? Ah this must be the friend you mentioned earlier. The names Bron" Bron says as he introduces himself to Roah and Uathach having not formally met them yet.
"I happen to think that's a wicked blade and you are quite an expert" Bron comments turning to Raoh and with a twinkle in his eye and in a joking manner he adds " I just think our friend here is jealous" pointing to Uathach. "Haha just kidding my friend" Bron adds quickly with a smile.
