"Masterfully bardic Cat. My thanks, again." Eglantine flashes a mile-wide smile at her companion, while never allowing herself to be fully distracted by the nain.

After Bren's mighty blow, Elias and Scathach move into position. Yomi calls on his goddess to heal Elias's wounds . The cleric then arcs a lance of radiance at the nain, but it seems to fizzle in the rain . Cyrus has better luck, his illusions hampering the gnome. Eglantine misses with her knife. Catriana also fails to distract him, but is able to heal most of Eglantine's claw wounds.
In a fury, the nain lashes at Bren with both claws, but Bren's armor is proof against it.
Bren lets out an animal-like roar and swings.

Elias and Scathach keep the pressure on the little fey, the great cat stalking and hounding its every move.
Catriana tries to think about anything she might have heard about this gnome during her numerous travels.

Even as Elias and Scathach work to keep the nain pinned, Yomi bloodies the creature with his searing light. Cyrus maneuvers for position, but is unable to capitalize on Yomi's divine inspiration.
Catriana:
Eglantine holds her ground and stabs again. "You're not getting away with this. Who's the woman?"
Catriana moves around the melee, looking for a better position. During her movement, she tries yet again to trick the gnome into thinking Bren is attacking him once more. Shouting to the gnome she says: "Nain Rouge, your days of banditry are over! Surrender or die!"

Eglantine tries to set up her riposte, but slips on the wet ground and just misses.
Catriana's taunt strikes its mark and she enters the fray, threatening hte nain, but only making it angrier
The nain roars in anger and a freak snowstorm envelops the party, making the footing treacherous (for some, more than others). He then lashes out at Bren, scoring a glancing blow -6hp to Bren. The nain turns invisible once more.
Bren squints through the wild flurry. "What the devil? We've done enough damage to bring down a giant! Why isn't he dead yet?"
Elias spies the nain with ease, but his blow is nonetheless a miss.
Catriana shouts over the blowing snow: "Face it gnome, you can't win this!"

Eglantine stabs randomly at empty air, hoping she's aiming for the right spot, but grimly aware that she's hitting nothing.
Instead of attacking the air, Catriana decides to wait until the gnome reveals itself again and meanwhile gets out of most of the snow.
Catriana chants and conjures another magic bolt from Bren's direction that slashes the gnome as it flies next to it.
Eglantine looks wildly around, but can't identify where the feet are going.
Catriana looks frantically for the gnome, but fails to find it.
Perception (1d20+8=10)
"Yomi or Cat - there's someone here who needs your help."
Catriana hurries to the Eladarin woman and checks her for wounds or any magical effects.
"Go ahead, Catrianna."
Yomi scans the area for anything of interest.
Catriana sings softly, causing the woman's wound to heal.
"I'm Catriana. Who are you? What happened to you?"
Apparently unconcerned about the eldarin woman, Bren looks out for the return of the nain.
"You're Ellesandra?!?!"
Eglantine drops beside the eladrin.
"We've been hunting for you. What on earth happened? Froderick is going insane with worry for you. That's why we're here."
"Your son? I didn't know you and Froderick had a child. How old is he?"
Eglantine's brow furrows slightly. This is the feywild and Ellesandra is a fey. It doesn't seem to her that her implied question has been answered.
She tries again.
"Is Flax yours and Froderick's son then?"
Elias looks sorrowful.
"I didn't know that. So Froderick has lost his wife and his child. It's worse then we knew. The nain ran away, Ellesandra. Why was he holding you captive? I'm sorry to ask so many questions, but we know so little and we don't have a lot of time."
Catriana looks concerned. "I understand the situation with your son. We should go back to your village however. Froderick is being accused of murdering you, you know. He's going to be executed himself in a few days unless you go there... I believe it's better we go back soon enough so you won't lose your husband. Do you know any short way back there?"

"The nain?" Ellessandra sniffs. "A common thug, probably hoping for ransom."
"Murdering me? Oh, poor Froderick! Please, I'll write a note that you can take, so you can prove I'm alive. I'll send my wedding ring with you so he'll know it's from me."
Catriana:
Bren glances back at Ellessandra to say, "don't you want to go back to your husband? We just about fought this entire crazy world to save you!"
"Lady, it is not a question of wanting to go back but you have to go back. Your husband stands accused of your murder and only your live presence will put 'nay' to that accusation. You loved your husband once and he returned that love. That love has to count for something. Else it has all been a lie. You must return with us."
"If you do not love your husband anymore, if he did something that displeased you, please do not let his death be the measure of your retribution."
"He is in jail, alone and unloved. All because everyone thinks you are dead."
"Say whatever you wish about your neighbors but their justice clearly shows their fondness for you else why care so much, hmmm?"
"Lady, I am an old man but my eyes are not yet obscured by age and I see clearly that you still feel for your husband. Will you betray that feeling inside you?"
"Come back with us and your husband shall be set free, otherwise he has suffered and will suffer for nothing."
"You shall not regret returning with us."
