Female human Rogue 5

Eglantine suppresses a scream as the bear hurtles towards her.

Her gaze hardens. "If you want to play rough, I can do that too." Without any further thought, she stabs Redcoat. "This is going to hurt. And go on hurting."

Wrapping her cloak around her, she vanishes from sight and reappears behind a building.

Trickster's Blade: 1d20+10=25, 2d4+4=11 acid (used encounter power to make dagger acid, used daily power to make Redcost take 5 ongoing acid damage (save ends). Eglantine gets +3 to AC to end of her next turn. Uses daily power of Mountebank Cloak to teleport 5 squares to J22.

For Pat

Spoiler:
Minor Action - Healing Word on Engladine allowing her to use a healing surge plus 1d6; Standard Action - Lance of Faith on s1; +2 bonus on Next Atk for Bren if it hits; move action Yomi moves a square towards Eglandine.

Additional Healing on Engladine 1d6=5, Lance of Faith Attack Roll 1d20+8=20, Lance of Faith Damage Roll 1d8+5=11

As Eglantine attacks, the bear lets out a tremendous roar that shakes her, and she is too rattled to make a sound attack.

Fierce Roar immediate interrupt -- must change targets or end attack. You do not burn your encounters or dailies -- the attack does not go off. If you still care to teleport, you need line-of-sight to your destination.
Fierce Roar vs. EP (1d20+7=27)

Female human Rogue 5

If I teleport on top of the building and lie prone, I can still attack can't I - albeit at a -2? And how far can I get to if I do that?

Yes. You could get to the nearest rank of squares on a rooftop.

It's also Catriana's turn

F Half Elf Bard 4

Catriana calls Yomi back, trying to lure the satyrs to a better position for the group. Catriana tries to attack S1, but misses.

Virtue of Cunning on Yomi, slide him back to E16; Misdirected Mark against S1 (If hits, he's marked by Bren)
Misdirected Mark vs. S1 (1d20+5=9, 1d8+5=8) (vs. Ref);

Female human Rogue 5

Eglantine teleports to N19. She'll worry about getting down later.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Eglantine, intimidated by the bear, vanishes and re-appears on the roof of the house across from the Golden Knight.

Catriana works on improving the tactical situation.

Yomi:

Spoiler:
Do you accept Catriana's slide? It's further from Eglantine. Second problem - Healing Word is a burst 5. Your attack will hit, but what do you want to do for move and minor?

Accept the slide; but still use Healing Word on anyone within range; on with the attack.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Yomi takes advantage of the new tactical situation to spear a lance of radiance at s1, woudnding him further, while at the same time invoking the Raven Queen's blessing to heal Bren.

Yomi, Bren

Spoiler:
Yomi, your healer's lore adds 5 to your healing powers, so you heal Bren for a surge +10. Bren also has +2 on his next attack against s1.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

The lead satyr, though bloodied, shakes off the daze from Yomi's thunder and circles around to attack the wizard, but misses. "Make room for Redcoat!"

s2 similarly tries to circle for advantage. Bren lashes out at him with his axe, but his blow glances off the satyr's armor. The satyr moves on to attack Yomi, but misses.

s4 moves in on the priest and connects with his spear, piercing deep into Yomi's belly. -9hp

The last satyr, no longer slowed by the tentacles, moves in on Cyrus to take his revenge -7hp. This opens him to an attack by Yomi, who misses with his scythe.

Cyrus, Bren
Yomi, Eglantine (on the roof), and s1 are bloodied.

Bren OA s2 (1d20+8=19, 1d12+5=13)

s4 atk Yomi (1d20+10=21, 1d6+3=9)

s5 atk Cyrus (1d20+10=27, 1d6+3=7)

Yomi OA s5 (1d20+8=9, 2d4+6=9)

F Half Elf Bard 4

Catriana keeps trying to move the party to better positions.

Virtue of Cunning to shift Yomi to D17. Also, what is beyond column A on the map ? any buildings ?

Male Human Fighter 5 (Great Weapon Fighter)

Move action : shift to F16

Standard action : basic attack with magic great axe

Attack value 23 , assuming I still get an extra +1 from Yomi's spell (1d20=14)

Damage 10 hp (1d12+5=10)

Rules question for Pat: when I use my STR vs AC powers, do I add my level/2 and weapon proficiency bonus as well?

Bren wrote:

You always add level/2 to any d20 roll in the game, as far as I can think of, except saving throws. You add your weapon proficiency bonus to any power that has the "Weapon" keyword, which I believe includes all Fighter attack powers.

EDIT:Which one did you attack? It's a target-rich environment.

Male Human Fighter 5 (Great Weapon Fighter)

Got it. Thanks.

Yes, there are buildings. I'll try to expand the map later, but it might not be for a while.

Male Human Wizard / 5

Pat, I believe s1 was slowed until the end of his turn for being pushing into the grasping shadows. I don't know where he was last round or how far he moved to attack me. Just trying to keep from getting surrounded again.

Male Human Wizard / 5

Cyrus steps back and yells at the top of his lungs in elven:
if you speak elven and Pat determines you are within ear shot

Spoiler:
"Elias! Help! and bring your cat!"

while firing off a powerful spell.

shift to D18, cast Phantom Chasm Daily power centered on D15 catching all 4 satyrs, Bren has shifted out of the way

1d20+5=16 vs s1 Will,
1d20+5=21 vs s2 Will,
1d20+5=25 vs s4 Will,
1d20+5=10 vs s5 Will

2d6+7= 15 psychic damage to s1,
2d6+7= 16 psychic damage to s2,
2d6+7= 19 (max on crit) +1d8=4, total is -23hp psychic damage to s4,
2d6+7= 14 psychic damage to s5

if the targets are hit then they fall prone and are immobilized until the end their next turn, on a miss they are immobilized until the end of my next turn.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Quite right, s1 was slowed. I misread the power. Map adjusted.

You only roll damage once. So you hit s2 for 15 (your first damage roll) and s4 for 23. Bren also hit s4. s1, s2, and s4 are all bloodied. All satyrs are immobilized, and s2 and s4 are prone. Redcoat's turn when I get a chance.

Male Human Wizard / 5

multiple attack rolls, one damage roll, hopefully I got it

Did you mean "s4 for 15" damage above instead of "s4 for 23"?

No, you still get the crit.

Male Human Wizard / 5

Right, little slow over here, kinda scary for me to be playing a high Int PC

Pat:

Spoiler:
Rules clarification here. I can cast only one of my daily powers from my spellbook per day? And I need to declare after an extended rest which daily power I've memorized?

Cyrus:

Spoiler:

Almost right -- every time anyone else gets a utility or daily, you get two, but have to pick one of each pair after each extended rest.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

The bear, giving up on reaching Eglantine, wheels about and barrel rushes toward Bren, but the sturdy fighter stands his ground.

Eglantine, Catriana, Yomi

Male Human Wizard / 5

Pat:

Spoiler:
And the expanded spellbook feat gives me three daily powers from which to choose. So, I'm missing another Utility power from my profile, correct?

Female human Rogue 5

Hugely annoyed, Eglantine darts along the roof of the building and throws her dagger at the bear. She wrinkles her nose slightly as the dagger returns to her hand, uncertain of the effect of her blow.

Move to J19. Sly Flourish on Redcoat (v AC) (1d20 10=20, 1d4 6=10). If that's a hit, she'll invoke her encounter power and deliver 5 ongoing acid damage to Redcoat as well.

Hits. Is the ongoing 'save ends'?

Yup. Save ends.

F Half Elf Bard 4

Catriana's chanting rises in volume until she utters a shout at Redcoat.

Stirring Shout vs. Will vs. Bear (1d20+7=15, 2d6+4=9)
If it hits, every ally who hits Redcoat will gain 4 hp

Missed. Yomi's up

Who am I adjacent to? New map?

I keep the map linked in my profile as current as I can manage, given fallibility.

Healing word on myself; attack s5 with priest shield; +1 Power Bonus to Yomi and CW.

1d6=2, 1d20+9=24, 2d4+6=11

Yomi's HP is now 27; AC is 20.

Male Human Fighter 5 (Great Weapon Fighter)

Move : shift to F17

Standard : Brute Strike (I still have this power because of Reliable tag) on Redcoat.

1d20+9=10

I rolled a 1 ! Now I know for a fact that the dice gods hate me !

Female human Rogue 5

Eglantine is at J19.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

Yomi:

Spoiler:
Your HP is now 32- - you forgot your Healer's Lore again.

Bren:

Spoiler:
Not your turn, so you wasted your roll ;-)

The satyr leader moves back into the fray, taking advantage of the distraction of the bear to flank Bren. Hit, -7hp

s2 meanwhile has identified Cyrus as a serious threat and circles around to attack the mentalist. Hit, -4hp

s4 looks at the situation and laughs. "Big axe, big bear, we'll see who wins, big man!" This rattles Bren and enables the satyr to do more damage Hit, -8hp

s5 yells at Yomi, "You heal, we stab -- see who can do it longer!" Yomi, unfazed, is nonetheless dealt another blow Hit AC20, -5hp

Cyrus, Eglantine, s1, s2, and s4 are all bloodied.
Bren, Cyrus

Male Human Wizard / 5

I hate to ruin the satyrs' party killing fun but I think s2 and s4 are prone and immobilized until the end of their turn and s1 and s5 are immobilized until the end of my next turn.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

You are completely correct, sir. For some reason, I didn't actually make those notes on my spreadsheet. Will revise, with deepest apologies.

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7

The satyr leader hits Bren, but for less damage without the CA Hit, -4hp

s2 stands.

s4 stands and misses Bren (without the CA)

s5 yells at Yomi, "You heal, we stab -- see who can do it longer!" Yomi, unfazed, is nonetheless dealt another blow Hit AC20, -5hp

Eglantine, s1, s2, and s4 are all bloodied.
Bren, Cyrus

Male Human Wizard / 5

Cyrus yells some tactics to Bren and waits until he completes his attack.

delay until after Bren

Bren, it's completely up to you of course, but if you shift to F17 before or after your actions then I can get all 4 satyrs in my Thunderwave spell.

Male Human Fighter 5 (Great Weapon Fighter)

Excellent suggestion, Sir Cyrus.

Move Action : Shift to E17

Standard Action : Brute Strike on Redcoat

1d20+9=22

Attack damage 3d12+5=29

Sovereign Court

M Human Expert 7
Bren wrote:

The bear's terrible roar when Bren come at it shakes him, making it impossible to complete the attack.

No attack goes off, no daily used

Male Human Wizard / 5

Shift to C17 and cast Thunderwave blast on D16 (lower left) to F14 (top right).

1d20+5=14 vs s1 Fort
1d20+5=19 vs s2 Fort
1d20+5=19 vs s4 Fort
1d20+5=9 vs s5 Fort

1d6+5=10 thunder damage and push 2.

I would like to see the results of the attack before I decide where to push the satyrs. I'm hoping I finished off at least one of them.

Hit s2 and s4, not deaths

Dang, I'll push s4 to G14 and s2 to F14
