...and that left me with an image of your avatar astride some co-ax cable grinding away with that silly grin on his face. Thanks for that image. I had to clean up the Vault I spit out all over my monitor and wait for my laughing to subside just to post this.
You're welcome!
Sorry, I can't seem to help it, I'm REALLY felling my alignment this week (Chaotic Neutral, cantcha tell?)

The Alpha 3 release has been laid out and is in final proofing this weekend. It will be posted during this upcoming week, probably on Wednesday.
Fark. Ah well, still good. I was hoping it would get to me by Monday, but c'est la vie. I'm still happier with Pathfinder than I am with 4E. XD
And I just had a brain flash of adding "...and I still like Pathfinder better than 4E" to the end of any conversation about role-playing. Kind of like "Carthago delenda est," don'tcha know.

Do we have a time frame for the release this week? I mean mid (wed) week or end (fri) week?? I am eager to get my hands on it, only have two PC's left to change over, the Bard and the Ranger!!! Would be great if they were all updated for this weekends game!
As of Saturday (Emphasis mine):

Jason mentioned elsewhere that it will be out tomorrow (Wednesday that is).
Very nice. I'll be interested to see to what extent the feedback from these messageboards has helped to shape the next iteration of the alpha.
If nothing else, the discussions here have encouraged me to think a little more deeply about what I want from any RPG that claims the legacy of D&D :).

Luckily for me... I have an excellent amount of paitence. It's coming out today.. which is awesome. But, I'm not going to sit and hit F5 over and over to get it.
... not saying anyone really is... or that it's a bad idea.. :D
For me.. Alpha 3 is surpassed today (although it comes close...) by the 12:01 showing of Indiana Jones I'm attending tonight.
Good birthday week.. (19th) for Paul.
I'm rambling.. I know... but that's only because I'm hopeing that when I hit submit there will be a new post that wasn't there before saying Alpha 3 is out!
:D
Edit: A couple of things;
Doh! No new post.
19th of May - not year.
I know 12:01 is technically tomorrow... but eh.

Eagerly hits the refresh button every 10 minutes or so...
Ah, dear Padawan, you lack patience. I manage to wait every *11* minutes or so...
So when are you and I going to get together and force E to read 3.P and give us his opinions at crossbow-point?
And of course, watch more Whitest Kids U' Know...
EDIT - Assuming, of course, there isn't *another* person who goes by deathboy and haunts the Paizo boards...

Standing up... "Hello, my name is Pax Veritas, and I am a PRPG junkie."
Crowd replies... "Hello, Pax Veritas."
Pax continues... "Unfortunately, today will be my last day with this support group. I want to thank you for helping me through the long days between Alpha 2 and Alpha 3, but Lord Erik just announced that Alpha 3 will arrive today for sure, and, I'm heading out to grab my thumb-drive and some cash. I'm headed to print it out with a beautiful color cover and spiral binding..."Pax drools...
Group moderator, standing up... "Okay group, you heard Pax. We're done here. Let's head to our respective homes and click refresh for the next few hours."
Room clears. New person appears in empty room, voice echoing... "Hello, hello... is this where the battered-former-customers of wotc meeting is being held? Hello...?"

The closer it gets to GenCon, the more and more convinced that the line at the Paizo booth is going to be tons longer than the one for 4th Ed. I mean we are seriously geeking out over this and I haven't seen one person nearly as excited about 4th Ed.
I concur. When my group first began to see the first tantalizing peeks of 4th edition our response was to start buying as many 2nd edition PDFs as we could from Paizo. We figured if we were going to have to munchkinize everything we might as well use a system we know.

Does anyone else feel like a crack addict waiting for his dealer to show up?
Hello, my name is Mattias, and I am a Pathfinder addict. I just can't wait for that goody goodness called Alpha 3. I'm sure I will wear out my refresh button today, and won't get a lick of work done. Hopefully with the release of Alpha 3, the shaking and dice rolling urges will subside long enough for me to make it through the long weekend, where I will begin a Pathfinder playtest of Burnt Offerings. Not gonna get a lick of sleep for the next two days trying to read the entire product.
Time to hand out some lovin'.
Thank you Paizo, especially Jason, for bringing us this marvelous product. You guys are doing an amazing job. Love all the products you put out. Keep up the great work!

Some of the members of my gaming group have posted all over the place some adds for starting up a 4e campaign just to try it out and no one has bitten at all. When they did the same thing for Savage Tide there were so many inquiries that people had to be turned away due to space and time limitations. For as much hubbub as there is around 4e, no one really seems that eager to play it. Not even on ENworld, which is arguably the most pro-4e community online (aside from WotC, but they don't count).

I've even popped around the WotC board and people are asking questions about it and such, but they just aren't geeked out like we are.
(woot! conversation that distracts from the waiting... well momentarily anyways)

I considered making a 'joke' and replying with "It's out!" and giggle while hoards of fans went frantically to their downloads sections only to realize that I lied.
Then I realized that I too will be at Gen Con.. at the Paizo booth.. getting my Red Hand of Doom module signed... some Gamemastery/Pathfinder goodies bought and generally just loitering trying to strike up some good conversations and some new people to go off and game with.
These people that I would say hey.. want to game? They may say yes and then say something like, "Hi.. i'm so and so.. " maybe even tell me their username on the boards.
Well, my username is my name. Cause I'm cool like that. When I say, "Cool man.. I'm Paul" the line of fans that would disperse and beat me with their newly bought weapons or bookbags full of new RP goodies, would make my Gen Con experience not nearly as fun. To say the least.
So, in the interest of future gaming with some of you.. I decided to not induldge my inner evilness.
