I'm still working on this opening. I wasn't able to finish it before I left work, but I mailed what I had completed to myself and am now finishing things up.
(P.S. It's very long.)
Cool stuff. I can't wait to read it!
I hope it goes up before I leave work, otherwise it'll be over 12 hours before I get the chance!

I'm hoping to have it up within the hour!

EDIT: I just added an extra little tidbit to my character profile - if you want a look, go ahead.
I checked it out. It may come in handy in the future. Also, a fairly minor note: Heart attacks don't usually cause someone to go into a coma. A stroke, on the other hand, might do it. Maybe he had both?

My bad - yeas, he had both, thus he is now in a coma.
And thanks for the compliment - I wanted to add a few little things that weren't particularly part of his background.

(Because just saying "bump" is no fun.)
Still waiting to see posts in the game thread from Lens, Frank, and Juan Pablo. You're all together and, once the small talk gets going, I'll input some spoilery goodness to share with one another.
Oh, Cosmo, if you can... could you get Gary to change this thread's title to "WoD - Blood Money Discussion." I inadvertently named both threads the same thing and it leads to some confusion when they pop up in the "Recent Discussion" sidebar. Thanks! ^_^

Any of you guys watching Moonlight? I only noticed it yesterday. Seems decent enough for the cliched Vampire P.I. hangs with reporter kind of set up.
Also I saw in the nytimes the other day that Alan Ball (Six Feet Under) is doing a Vampire show. Hasn't started yet, but I'm thinking he'll spin out something new and fun to watch. Think it was going to be called True Blood.

The over-arching goal of degenerating property values and increasing the crime rate has been proceeding fairly well according to plan. Due to the sudden increase in violent crime...
Hey Fates- This part threw me a little. Should have brought it up when you first posted it, but were we the ones responsible for the above, and if so what have we been doing to achieve it? I have some ideas about how to continue the slide and I'm sure everyone else does too, but I think we've all been holding our hands close waiting to see what other people would propose. We aren't doing each other any good like that though. So what has been done so far (by us or others) to degenerate property values so that we can expand on it without being redundant? Also it would help us know who is establishing power in our little pseudo-domain etc.
I'll post my own idea soon- tomorrow likely. Basically I thought I'd let a bit of conversation pass before I did so, but we hung up there and paused for a bit too long.

I had basically assumed that Juan Pablo had been exercising his influence over his herd and other degenerates in the area to stir up some rebellious tendencies. Jonquil and Isaac's influence has been a little bit more direct, either starting fights and committing vandalism personally or, more likely, by funding and arming budding gangs in the region. By leaving a few bodies lying around in high-traffic areas, anyone could have contributed to the "aura of menace" that is being instilled in the area. Lens and Sergei have largely been spectators and information gatherers rather than actors who are directly facilitating this degeneration.
There are various other NPCs who are operating in other parts of Silver Terrace as well, but the PCs are the ones who make up the "lead group" of go-getters in this project. Warden (the elder Nosferatu) is the true mastermind of this operation, but his directions have been fairly free form thus far and his own personal agents have undoubtedly been doing.... something during all this.
The big concern to the Kindred in the area is not that the degeneration project is doing poorly, though. It's quite the opposite - it seems to be going quite well. The trouble is that certain key NPC agents, including the Malkavian Primogen, have been vanishing and their corpses (or ashes) have been popping up in random places throughout Silver Terrace. No one knows what is causing this, but groups in the area have been ordered to refrain from traveling alone by the Prince himself. If the disappearances continue, there will be no one left willing to continue the degeneration project... and the Sabbat will be able to slip right into town.

Sorry to intrude on your thread, but I could not contain my curiosity. What happened to this game?
On a side note, one of the players wanted to somehow heal using thaumaturgy. The discipline of the Obeah bloodline was a healing discipline. That is the bloodline that was originally the clan that the Tremere diablerised. They had third eyes.
I think they were in the storyteller handbook, but I am not sure.

Inactivity combined with my sudden increase in workload killed this game (as well as the other one I was trying to get started). As for healing with Thaumaturgy, yeah, I'm aware of the Salubri discipline of Obeah being able heal people. Thaumaturgy can also be used to "heal" vampires in a roundabout way via Path of Blood level 2: "Blood Rage." It forces the victim to burn blood towards whatever purpose the thaumaturge desires (which could be something like healing) even if the blood could not normally be used as rapidly by a character of the target's generation. Naturally, this requires that the target have enough blood in his system to enact the healing, but, well... it can't always be easy.
