I can't be the first who thought about this. A nice GM's screen for Pathfinder would so rock!
On the front, you could either have one of the Pathfinder covers (like that special cover with the dragon on it) or even several Pathfinder and Pathfinder Chronicles motives (including the Sihedron rune)
The backside would have a calender (with the days for months and weekdays), maybe a weapons list including the pathfinder specific weapons, and so on.
It should be one of the "low ones" (the panels in landscape format instead of portrait), so the GM can see his vic... uh, players! And I personally think that making it of sturdier material, like the new World of Darkness screens would also be nice.
Of course, they might want to wait until its decided whether they switch to 4e before they do something like that, but I'd personally have no problem with getting two of those.

Make sure it includes a mini module as well. Maybe a Pett Louge collaboration?
Are you Trying to make the universe implode!?
A Pett-Logue collab? That is.....a total improbable impossibility!
Joking over...that would be....disturbing to say the least.
*rolls dice* 22, damn I failed. I lose all my remaining SAN.

I would definately be on board for a Pathfinder DM screen. Perhaps a nice scene of PCs being slayed on the player side of it. You know, something for them to look forward to :).
Not a bad thought. Perhaps something suitably horrible. Like the Chaos Beast eating one of the iconics, ala the pic from the Monster entry in the MM. Someone else can have green slime dripping all over them as their hand turns to goo. Ahh...good times shall be had by all.

I like the way you think. I think I'll put pictures of player characters (looking a lot like my players' characters) dying gruesome deaths in front of my screen - and rearrange them each time to match their seating arrangement!

I'm glad someone started this thread! My gaming group and I were just talking about this -- we would LOVE to see a Pathfinder GM screen!!
My vote for the outside (the side facing the players) would be something vast and epic, like a big city shot, OR anything by Wayne Reynolds -- maybe a collage of his various Pathfinder character pieces.
My vote for the inside (facing the DM) would be a world map/region maps, and maybe a couple city maps. I love having maps on the inside of a screen - I usually end up paperclipping photocopies to my screens. :)
(Or if you guys wanna hire me to draw the screen art, I'm available.. :P haarr)

A DM screen would be great.
I think this time the inside info should all be about this pathfinder series: special info about the campaign, so that the DM does not have go back into all the issues to dig them out.
Also for the front art, I would like to see a scene with the last fight between the primary villain who has at least got one heroes down beside him and the other iconic heroes fighting for their lives. It would give a great deal of stress and anticipation for my player to look forward to.

As far as player-side art goes for the screen, I’d be less inspired by the pre-gen Iconics doing things than I would be by some of the great vista images I’ve seen of the giant statues and stuff. In my mind, it’s this monolithic history that makes Varisia stand out in my mind and those are the images I’d want to foster in my players when we play Pathfinder.
It’s the inside that’s got me puzzled. I’ve only used DM screens to hide the maps and content from my players, I don’t think I’ve ever used one for reference, though. The most common rules references we make in game are specific little things that we couldn’t possibly put all of on a screen. Aside from a list of what actions cause attacks of opportunity, what do y’all reference the most on the business side of a screen?

The only two things I ever use the inside of my screen for is (1) to paperclip maps to for easy reference, and (2) to paperclip player info for me to see quickly, like their hit points, main weapons, spells, whatever..
But yeah, I'm a DM screen junkie.. I'm sort of a sucker for 'em. I like to have new art for the players to look at, so I buy new ones sometimes just for a change of pace, regardless of what info's on them or what system/setting they're for. I will definitely be all over it if there's a Pathfinder one.. And again, my main request would be that the artwork side either features some epic cool scenery, to give the players a feel for what the world looks like, OR some Wayne Reynolds art. Either one and I'll be a happy DM. :)
Hell, maybe you could even put a few Wayne pieces of the characters or beasties on the INSIDE of the screen, for the DMs to enjoy!! :) :)

I would love one. My current GM has an old 2nd ed screen which helps with absolutely nothing but hiding his notes and getting knocked over.
I'll be running this next campaign and having my own screen will be very helpful. I love the idea of dry erase on the backside, but even just having pathfinder specific info with some basic rules for quick look up (Tripping and disarming are always good to have on hand).

I'd want the iconic heroes on one side, the villians on the other kinda ready to jump at eachother (or into the middle panes) with the the town of Sandpoint as the background and a road full of goblins grinning gobliny in the middle. So basically you have the goblins in the middle attacking sandpoint, and all the major characters about the clash with goblins and sandpoint stuck in the middle.
Wayne Reynolds art definitely.

I agree its a good idea, but for purposes of marketing research I just thought I would let you know I wouldn't buy one.
Now if you did a simple screen with cool Pathfinder art, no tables/charts/etc... I would buy that. Simply for something cool for my players to look at while their characters suffer their travails.

I would love a screen but I totally get you will have to figure out what gaming system you are using before you can create one. I have said this on another thread - please look over the Kingdoms of Kalamar screen before deciding on the format. That think has more information on it than some books do.
They have a lot of generic information on pages that fold over the screen to reveal another layer of information and they also have world specific information that would be great for Pathfinder, such as, dieties, etc. And as someone siad in an earlier post made the thing durable - DM screens at 20 paces... Draw
Count me in either way...

I don't know about anyone else but alot of older DM/GM Screens I have seen came bundled with "something" else. I would love to see this happen and would be glad to pay more for it. Any of these options would be welcome:
* 20 page Adventure (ala Hollow's Last Hope or Into the Haunted Forest)
* Pathfinder Specific Character Sheets
* Small book with Setting Info (Player's Guide to CotCT, Info on the Gods, Setting info on all of the different Cultures of Golarion [Osiron, Minkai, etc...])

Pathfinder character sheets would be awesome as part of the bundle. If not a quick adventure, then some other goodies that make running pathfinder adventures easier.

This sounds great! Put me in for a v3.5 version please.
How about using a Rune Giant somewhere on the screen?
