Just make sure you get the right type and it's not that Crunchy stuff. That could end badly!

I'm not alone!

My wife taught me how to drive (although she wasn't my wife then, just my girlfriend). I met her at my friend-who-is-8-days-older-than-me's 21st. Didn't get my license till I was 22, almost 23.

Tom Baker, would have been good - apparently his Iago was brilliant. William Shatner, on the other hand....

I buy the natural peanut butter, because it tastes awesome and doesn’t have all the disgusting hydrogenated vegetable oils that make it smooth, so I don’t mind my son eating it all the time (peanut butter is good for you, without that in it, except when it contains too much peanut mold). The down side is when you get it all the oil is floating on top and has to be mixed in, and since we keep it in the fridge, most times you have to warm it in the microwave before spreading it so you don’t rip the bread, but not always because the jars aren’t uniform (being more natural, there’s variation in the oil content). I guess what I’m trying to say here is, good luck; you are a good guy, and she’d be crazy not to like you.

I like rambling. I missed my tendency to pontificate.

In fact, maybe you could use that peanut butter and.... Actually, maybe not on a first date.

I walked into this.

What? Have you never seen "Tom Jones" (the film of the Fielding novel, rather than the Welsh singer, though I hear he is good live, Tom Jones the singer, that is)?

Ummm...I guess I'm a bit excited to be employed again. I start Monday as a District Manager for Brookstone stores. The timing was amazing as we had less than 1 week of money left to make it on. WooT!!!!

Now you'll be paid in a 2 week cycle and it'll take an extra week for payroll to process so expect pay in 3 weeks!

Sorry, pessimist in me.
Congrats on the job though!

Members of my gaming goup, along with myself and some significant others, attended the Pennsylvania Rennaisance Faire yesterday. We ate, we drank, we walked around and watch shows. The Faire has its own brew pub now - The Swashbuckler Brewing Company - with such wonderful beers as Swashbukler Gold, Captain Rude's Stout, Skull Annihilator, and Sharkbait Saison. All in all, it was a glorious day.

Surprisingly to me (since it is a good size company) they pay weekly, so it will be two weeks before I get my pay. I do have to deal with a live check until the direct deposit clears, however, so there will be some delay.

GT: Playing Elder Scrolls: Oblivion for most of today without guilt since my main goal today was to relax before I start the new job. Fun stuff.

We took our boys, ages 7 and 2 to the Carolina Ren-Faire. The 7 year old is a veteran of the faire, the two-year old is just now old enough to really look at stuff. I loved that they both got a blast out of the experience.

My two-year old absolutely loved the Joust to the Death at the end of the day. He Oooo'd and Ahhhh'd through the whole thing.

See that! A couple more good things! Good deal!

After spending a week cultivating my own yeast, I made tomato sourdough bread today. Turned out awesome! Waiting for it to cool now, getting hungrier all the while. I certainly have a new appreciation for bakers, holy crap does kneading bread for an hour and a half take it out of you (decided to skip exercising today)! The best part is, my yeast culture will only get tastier as time passes (what a strange heirloom).

In addition, the lees are settling nicely on my mint wine (you’d crack up if you saw my ghetto airlock), and I’ve decided to use them as a marinade once I rack the wine.

Well, this is new.

After a particularly drag-inducing argument, my dad pulled me aside at told me that he would be willing to go splits with me on college.

*doik*

In other words, I finally have NEARLY ALL of the cashy money to further my education. I won't be able to make the application deadlines for the spring '09 semester, but that will give me plenty of time to accrue some additional funds in time for the fall '09 semester.

Just finished the online portions of my applications to SCAD and SVA.

Peter Mulvey is on the stereo.

Life is pretty f#$~in' good.

GRATZ!!! I am glad that your Dad caved in on that. If you get into SCAD and need any help, just say so my friend. ~grins~ It helps having someone who lives in the area!

1790 words in 2 and a half hours! Woot!

(Slight explanation of this: in a fit of insanity I signed up for nanowrimo. I'm trying to write 50,000 words in the month of November. That's roughly roue pages a day.)

Mrs. Zombie got home after a week in Hawai'i on business. She brought me back three gifts:

A new Hawaiian shirt - dark blue with oriental-style dragons.

The Hawai'i Beer Book - with chapters on some beer history, micro-breweries in Hawai'i, a few beer recipes, and a guide to native recipes and the beer that goes besy with them.

A t-shirt with the following description - This pure cotton apparel is dyed with ale and the same grains that are brewed for beer.

She loves me again! yes i am nuts too.

Extra secret hugs from my kid since I won't be home this week
Going to NY, NY tomorrow for the first time ever and even though it is for work my new boss has promised (his idea) to show me around a bit.

Staying up allllllll night with your friend to help welcome his first child into the world. See the Subway Sword and Sorcery Thread for more info. Wooooooooooooooooooooooooo! Baby!

I've been good, working and working and living and trying not to get arrested. All are good things. How're you Mothy?

Just not the particulars. Especially not about the part where I stood on the table, pulled out a condom and shouted for all to hear,"I KNOW HOW TO USE THIS. NO PRESSURE, BUT I KNOW HOW TO USE THIS".

Beyond that it went pretty well. She's pretty cool, layed back. I was as charming as a fetus in a jar could possibly be. She asked me for a second on the day after, so we're going out again on Friday.

Other good things:
-subletting on the lower east side through Thanksgiving
-updated my website to look better and work easier
-finally finished 7 Days to the Grave last night
-voting tomorrow to end the longest U.S. election ever
-butts

Pretty good mate. Hella busy at work, but its calming down a bit now ... otherwise not bad. Working, working, living and trying not to get arrested sounds about right for me too (though generally the trying not to be arrested part is a fairly passive activity for me these days).

Good stuff man. And hey, at least you've cleared the air on where you stand on safe sex ... so, you know, there's no awkwardness in the heat of the moment or anything.

The older we get the more passive we get. =(

I still wanna do stuff, but the last time I went in a mosh pit I only made it through half the set before I had to get out to stop puffing like a steam train. No I'm happy just to go and stand/sit ther and watch a band.
Plus, going out and getting pissed with mates knocks me around for a day or two after now, instead of just the next morning (although that could just be the fact that I only do it every couple of years now instead of every weekend).
Sucks to get older. =(

About this "getting old" thing :
When you're young you just don't take any responsability for your actions.
When you're adult, you just assume them and don't care.
;)

Sovereign Court

I installed a new door, frame and all, in my basement. The old one was drafty and even Sebastian could have kicked his way in. I'm just satisfied that it's done and I didn't f*&% it up.
Go me.

I'm actually doing better than usual. Still hectic and sucky, but less so than the normal rat race. Either that or someone's been spiking my coffee with lithium.

Um, reality is all about perception so if someone is spiking your coffee with lithium then your life is pretty great?

Mothy: You must be an example for the younger generation, teach 'em the right ways to avoid authorities and what not. A teaching role, not a passive one.

Good thing: The chorus to "Sex on Fire" by Kings of Leon.

I'm in the same boat. My wife talked me into it -- still don't know how to get around in it.

I wrote more than two hundred words today. I may even get some more written tonight since gaming group cancelled. (Still thousands of words behind but at least I'm making progress.
Finished a sketch that has been on my to-do list for too long.
My five year old had another good day at school. Hooray! No long talks about not pushing your friends and staying still while the teacher is talking.
Hugs from aforementioned five year old.

(edited; googled and they went and renamed the orchestra since I last heard of them)

Trying to go to bed on a positive note here.
Good Things:
Lilith, and the support/appreciation that the Paizo community was prepared to express for her on the petition thread. (:w00t:)

Because they'll do terrible things if I don't mention them, the Bella Sara Pony and Warwoof Lord can have name-level mentions as well.

Several Paizo posters/Chatroom denizens not covered by previous points.

(In a global/national importance category) The West-Eastern Divan Orchestra *Wiki Link*

(In a purely personal category) Mythathania, probably also Gulmunhav.
