Hajar nar Jundi |

Grim 0% chance of taking a 5' step to engage. You are 10 feet away. So either roll the tumble or take one 5' step now and one later or take the AoO and hit the Gorgon.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

The Gorgon uses its breath Weapon.
A gorgon can use its breath weapon once every 1d4+1 rounds to
create a 60-foot cone of green gas. Those caught in the area of the gas can attempt a DC 21 Fortitude save to resist the effects, but those who fail the save are immediately petrified. This petrification is temporary—each round, a petrified creature can attempt a new DC 21 Fortitude save to recover from the petrification as long as it is not caught within the area
of effect of the gorgon’s breath weapon a second time while petrified. A creature exposed to the gorgon’s breath a second time while already petrified becomes permanently petrified, and can no longer attempt to make additional Fortitude saves to recover naturally. The save
DC is Constitution-based.
Hajar, Iryna, and Selina make DC 21 Fort checks please.
Kuralaak fails.

Hajar nar Jundi |

Fort: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (5) + 11 = 16 DC 21, Nasty....we are gonna get screwed.

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

Hajar is stoned. He can make another check next round.
Iryna and Selina make your checks.
Start Round 2.
Grim and Kronus can take round 2 actions. Hajar you can make a round 2 save. Iryna and Selina make a second save if you fail the first.
Hajar should be fine with a +11 on Fort surely he can get a 10...

Current AC 24

Grim The Wanderer |

And one more kill for the Grim, The party life saver in dire situation.
Works for me DM. it isn't going to be changing the aspect of the game much as i will still use my 1st round to better position myself into flanking and attack once. And Kronus and Hajar will just have to anticipate my flanking move :) mouahahah

Hajar nar Jundi |

Thank you Grim, and Kronus. That beast had the best of me....You were valiant in your defense of the group. Most gracious thanks
To Iryna
Can nothing be done for Kuralaak?

Kronus Deathmaw |

Kronus sneers but it seems to damper as his looks upon his fellow Gnoll.. Kuralaak. This Gnoll, a rare trait among his kind, seemed smarter and utilized that odd contraption of a crossbow; Most importantly.. He was the one that helped Kronus. Stalking the statue Kronus absorbs Kuralaak's features and his expression whispering something to himself in Gnoll, before turning to Face Hajar, Grim, Iryna and Selina.
" Your Dawnflower cannot save him from this!? If so The Carrion King shall pay! I will not sit by and allow my...your ally to stay like this ... Make sure he is placed safely... We shall be back for him.. with the Carrion King's head.. maybe the traitor's blood will help. "
Kronus starts to walk off outwardly angry but obviously trying to mask his sadness; An odd trait for him.

Hajar nar Jundi |

Down? There are stairs that way yes? Also, did Grim do a grimsearch of the area?

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

the great dome map has been updated.
Grim goes down the steps silent as the wind and scouts ahead. He comes back with this information. In the center of the large chamber are five dens of scattered bones and matted fur. A curving flight of stone stairs descends from above to the northeast, supported by a dense colonnade,
while to the southwest a second flight descends deeper into the earth. To the north, a crude wooden barricade has been erected over the mouth of a tunnel, while to the east a larger path through the mounds of sediment leads into a large, dark hall. The southern wall appears to have partially collapsed, but glimpses of another large space can be had through gaps in the fallen masonry.
There are 3 of the well armed Carrion guards along with three of the giant Hyenadons in this room as well.

Iryna Marita Pantaeva |

Obviously, the scrolls to me?
Saddened by her own inability to help Kuralaak and even more so by Kronos' reaction, Iryna says nothing and reflects on how she can be a stronger vessel in Sarenrae's service.
"I should make sure we are prepared to fight. Is anyone still hurt?"
Grim, did you get the healing I dropped when we were facing the Trollodytes, or have you been hurt since then?

Hajar nar Jundi |

As usual Hajar ignores the japes of the rogue
Thank you Kronus, we will care for Kuralaak once this Carrion King is defeated and his army scattered to the wind.
He gestures down the stairs and draws Tempest.
We go, for the Dawnflower!
And heads down

GM: Dave the Dwarf |

The Gnolls and their mounts hear you coming down the steps and prepare to attack.
Hajar and Kronus hit the bottom of the stairs first. You find yourself looking down the maw of 3 Hyenadons drooling for your blood.
Yellow and Blue charge Hajar and Kronus respectively. The third Hyenadon waits its turn while the 3 gnolls cheer the beasts on while they ready arrows for when they might have a clean shot.
Yellow Attack on Hajar: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (13) + 11 = 24
Blue Attack on Kronus: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (3) + 11 = 14
Hajar is hit Damage: 1d8 + 12 ⇒ (2) + 12 = 14...The Hyena latches on to Hajar and tries to throw him to the ground Trip attempt: 1d20 + 12 ⇒ (9) + 12 = 21

Hajar nar Jundi |

Awesome, Hajar starts combat prone.....nice going "Chosen One"
Lady of Light, lend me your assistance LoH: 3d6 ⇒ (2, 6, 4) = 12
Hajar stands up, drawing attacks from both Hyenadons Which may drop me so the next action might not occur
He then attacks the Hyenadon which hit him yellow
Tempest: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (19) + 8 = 27 Tempest Crit: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24
Damage...: 4d4 + 22 + 1d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 3, 3) + 22 + (4) = 37
Yeah, teach you to knock me prone

Kronus Deathmaw |

Kronus lays into the Blue Hyenadon Ripping and tearing with Ferocity at the fall of Kuralaak not taking much notice to the streaming Arrows overhead
Powerful Flanking Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
Powerful Flanking Claw Damage: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
Powerful Flanking Claw: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
Powerful Flanking Claw Damage: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (2) + 7 = 9
Powerful Flanking Bite: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4
Powerful Flanking Bite Damage: 1d4 + 7 ⇒ (1) + 7 = 8
As the beast Bite into Hajar.. An arrow lodges in its back distracting it enough for Kronus to take both of his sharp claws and burrow one into its throat while the other reaches into its chest cavity . He Rips out the heart and crushes its windpipe simultaneously.. covering himself in its' gore. He looks up at the Other Gnolls and points then give the cutthroat expression with enough menace to push that threat.

Iryna Marita Pantaeva |

Moving into the melee, Iryna charges the hyaenadon. Her scimitar is a blur of motion as she swings... 1d20 + 7 + 2 ⇒ (7) + 7 + 2 = 16 just past the beast. At least I am here!
Prior to the fight, CLW from the wnad two times on Selina... 2d8 + 2 ⇒ (6, 4) + 2 = 12

Hajar nar Jundi |

Round 2
Hajar grits his teeth against the pain of the huge beasts bites and channels some of his goddess's power into Tempest, causing it to glow brightly
Lady of Light, guide my blade
He then moves a few yards forward.
Pretty sure the two hyendadons are down, leaves one left and some gnolls. Updated notes page with last few posts info, tempest is now keen.
