Having realized their divine power, the PCs must confront the mythic threat awakening beneath Iblydos itself. To do so, they must rescue a legendary blade capable of dealing the killing blow, seek allies within a city of monsters, and rile a mountain-sized beast to uncover one of the archipelago’s greatest secrets—and decide the islands’ future.

Titanbane is a Pathfinder Adventure for four 7th-level characters. This adventure concludes the Myth-Speaker Adventure Path, a three-part monthly campaign in which the player characters assume the role of regional hero-gods and have the opportunity to restore the tradition of myth-speaking to a realm inspired by Ancient Greece. This volume also includes a gazetteer of the lands surrounding Iblydos; two articles for continuing your mythic PCs’ story and abilities; and a toolbox of new items, spells, and creatures from the mythic isles of Iblydos.

Written by: Dave Nelson, with Rigby Bendele, John Compton, Erik Mona, and Jack Wery.

its not great

1/5

the main story isn't very exciting, the final boss doesn't impress me, and it feels out of sync with everything else happening in the Inner Seas, Impossible Lands, Mwangi Expanse, and Tian Xia; where I feel Paizo shines.

the link to revenge of the runelords is very weak imo.

My degree in Classical studies finally paid off and I got to write the very thing I wanted since I began freelancing. Y'all will enjoy this.

Any hints on the surrounding regions mentioned?

Very excited for this.

An awakened Chimera? Very interesting. Someone hand me that lead-tipped spear and they and I can have a conversation.

Can't wait to play this, Dave! Congrats!

Going off the world map, it looks like there's a mountainous coast to the north separating Iblydos from an arid part of Casmaron and a pretty large, lush stretch of the continent to its east that's between the isles and Vudra. I'm not sure we know enough about which parts of Casmaron are where to predict who their neighbors are, but some degree of Fantasy Persia and Fantasy India nearby both make sense for historical parallels.

I wonder if there's Fantasy Phoenicians anywhere in Casmaron...

Love this cover!!!

Still love the cover!

I really want to see what the Player's Guide for the AP is going to say!

Same. I excited for this adventure.

Two articles for continuing your mythic campaign.

Oh that will be interesting to see.

Would anyone with their early copy be kind enough to share what new mythic feats are in this? As well as what new beasties are in the backmatter?

I don’t think anyone of us has it yet, the shipping estimate for subs starts the 18th. But sure once I do!

Adventure Toolbox:
Stats for Aerekostes, both as a magic sword and hero-god to be worshipped.

Various magic items tied to some hero-gods.

Details on worshiping the hero-god Iapholi.

Painted Creatures: Painted Soldier (Creature 7), Painted Ram (Creature 8), Painted Pontifex (Creature 9), Painted Landscape (Creature 10)

NPC stats for Iapholi and Pteios.

Mythic Options:
Some of the Mythic options here are tied to being a hero-god of Iblydos:

Heroic Weakness- Mythic Feat 14 (you gain a legendary weakness that you are vulnerable to, but you can use the pain and humiliation to make yourself stronger)
Myth of Quick-Thinking - Mythic Feat 14 (you gain mythic abilities when lying and deceiving)
Myth of Realm-Walking - Mythic Feat 14 (you are hard to contain or keep from moving)

In addition there are some Iblydan Mythic Feats:

Hydra's Bond (Mythic 4) - resistance against being forced to act against your allies
Fool's Fleeting Plan (Mythic 6) - quickened actions don't trigger reactions
Stages of Fate (Mythic 8) - plucking at fate's strings allows you to help another being suffering from an affliction
Windborne Shove (Mythic 8) - You are harder to get past when next to an ally and you can Shove as a free action on a critical hit.

There is also a mythic poison, a mythic spear, and two mythic shields.

Oh this is glorious!

Some serious issues with the art in this book, the city in the gorge, as well as the parade and the sea serpent art all have this weird color misalignment which makes it look like ai slop. If the colors could be corrected it would look a LOT better.

It isn't AI, but thank you for letting us know about this!

Scarab Sages

I was sure it wasn't AI just it kinda looks like it and I think the color misalignment is the reason.

Sorry for creating this confusion here for sure!

Liberty's Edge

A question to those who read or played the whole AP:

Are Mythic casters enjoyable PCs to play?

Spoiler:
Or do NPCs use and abuse Mythic Resilience?
