Still considering whether or not it is worth it to subscribe to Paizo or support them.

Yeah it is totally worth it because just at face value, subscriptions give you a free PDF in addition to the physical book. Sometimes your order gets generated towards the 1st part of the month, sometimes during the end of the month. I am just sad that I will have to wait to get my physical because I prefer the Pocket Editions, so they will get PDF money from me as well as physical.
Yeah, early shipping isn't a guarantee, but it is legitimately pretty irritating to have a subscription or pre-order still not shipped when regular sales have started, like we have right now.

The last two months my orders were shipped past the projected deadline. I guess changing your order in any way changes when they decide to ship your items. I decided to get the Starfinder stuff at the beginning of June.

I was then gaslight and given a nonsensical response about my credit card by a CS person who then inferred that I wanted things I had not paid for.

Having my GEN CON order ship past their projected date is pretty common for me but there is no reason why it should take 20+ days to get something shipped.

CS response of thanks for being patient has come to be a pious platitude to me by now.

These are some of the reasons I am questioning continuing my relationship with Paizo and I have been a subscriber since AP issue #1.

The warehouse team is, as of this most recent shipment is seven people. There are five on the warehouse team, a warehouse distribution lead, and a warehouse manager. Gencon is their biggest time of the year. So yes, during GenCon especially, they're likely going to run right up against their estimated times and often will go over. It's important to remember just how small of a company Paizo is. As of the most recent credits there are 79 people with the company. They're not Hasbro. They're not Amazon. I'm willing to bet this warehouse team probably sent out well over 1000 shipments in the last three weeks. That's an awful lot of work for 7 people.

Yeah I think they deserve some grace given a team of that size.

I imagine on top of shipping to customers, they're also dealing with inbound shipments, orders being cancelled mid-packaging, etc.

Plus a new edition just released and I'm sure that's a lot to manage with so many units going out.

And on top of that who knows how Diamond bankruptcy impacts them that we're not aware of.

All that to say I don't mind waiting for my order, I trust it will get to me eventually.

And yes, making changes to your orders are going to delay your shipping, because they need to make sure you're getting the right things.

Sovereign Court

I think there might be an error in the Vitality Network Mystic Multiclass feat:

Vitality Network:
VITALITY NETWORK
ARCHETYPE
FEAT 4
Prerequisites Mystic Dedication
You gain a vitality network with 10 Hit Points and can use Transfer Vitality to transfer up to 10 HP. Increase the maximum capacity of your vitality network by 10 at 10th, 15th, and 20th-level]. Increase the amount you can transfer by 5 at 5th, 10th, 15th, and 20th-level.

As written, that means that at 5th level, you can transfer 15 hit points... but your pool maximum is still only 10, making that impossible.

My best guess is that your maximum capacity is intended to increase by 10 at 5th level, too (in line with the base mystic ability).

I'm not sure why, but the PDF for some reason doesn't have the classes bookmarked properly. Not sure if it's my device (using a Fire tablet and Adobe, haven't checked on a computer yet), but when I click to expand the Classes bookmark it just has a link to the Reading the Classes section.

On my PDF viewer it looks like the individual classes are bookmarked at Chapter 3 -> Reading Class Entries -> Classes, so they are still accessible via bookmark, they're just not at the correct level in the bookmark hierarchy; I'd expect that chapter's bookmark layout to look more like chapter 2's. It would be great if this could be fixed.

Noting this to inform the team when we return from Gen Con!

I bought this today and am trying to download it. All I get is an empty folder. I have used the "are you having trouble downloading this" option which has not helped. I bought Battlecry at the same time which has downloaded without a problem so it doesnt look like the issue is at my end.

Glad this got resolved! I was going to suggest Customer Service!

I posted this errata request in the Fall SF2e Errata Suggestions thread; just cross-posting it here since it's relevant to this particular book:

The kasatha and skittermander ancestries both have the 9th-level feat "All Hands on Deck" which allows them to use all of their hands for a turn. The frequencies differ between them. The skittermander version (already the stronger of the two since skittermanders have more hands) is usable once every ten minutes and the kasatha version is usable once per day. I'd assume that the frequencies should match and that one or the other needs errata; or if it's intentional that they don't match, it certainly comes across as a strange imbalance for the one with the stronger effect to also be the one that's more frequently usable.

Pathfinder Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Signed up for the Starfinder 2E Core Rulebook subscription back in mid-July, but this is still sitting in my sidecart. I reached out to CS 3 days ago, but still haven't gotten a reply. I'm fine waiting, but I'd appreciate a response.

I'm not customer service, but my assumption is that you missed the window for the regular Player Core shipment, and thus your sidecarted items are waiting for the regular scheduled shipment for GM Core. I am also in the same situation, but I half-expected it given my prior experience with subscriptions.

I've also got a minor sidecart-related ticket open from a week ago (trying to get an item removed so that I can order it as part of starting a subscription). From a previous ticket, the CS Lead is out-of-office through tomorrow. I don't know how big Paizo's CS team is, but I'd assume that this is contributing to the delay in hearing back so I'm not too concerned yet.

Our CS team is pretty small, and we were also delayed because of Gen Con, but they will see to all your tickets as soon as they're able over the coming days! Thank you all for your patience on this!

Looking at the company credit page at the end of books, currently, the CS team, including the lead, is only 3 people. So if the lead is out of office, that's only 2 people to manage the GenCon rush.

This is honestly why putting our team in our books is so helpful! It gives everyone some perspective on how hard we're working to make sure you have what you need! We really appreciate your patience with all of this!

Tried to purchase the PDF and the URL redirected to a restricted page. Have a pending charge on my credit card. No PDF in digital library. Kinda disappointed, send in an email to customer support and received no response. Understand the charge might come off as it's still pending but I want the rules.

If all you want are just the rules, you should be able to access them here: Archives of Nethys - Starfinder 2E.

(Note: This is an official site that hosts all the rules -- and just the rules -- for both Pathfinder & Starfinder.)

Hopefully, this will help until you get your pdf.

Carry on,

Customer Service will get to your issue! We've seen a few of these, and they've resolved them all. Please give them time as they're a small team!

Is there any plan for a pawn set or a token set for the Player Core?

Considering the Murder of Metal City adventure and the upcoming Alien Core Token box I suspect Starfinder switches to tokens instead of pawns, but it would be a VERY lacking product line without a set representing player races.

Completely agree!

On the plus side, I can't imagine Paizo is unaware of this. Plus they've said they're waiting to see how tokens are received, so maybe they're holding off on deciding a final direction.

This is accurate! We're waiting to see if it's really a good idea! So we don't have plans to make them right now, but if there's enough demand, it's possible that could change!

Well, having used pawns for a long time, I am extremely underwhelmed by the tokens that came with the Murder in Metal City adventure. Too small and thin (making them hard to grab when flat on the table), the designs on them are too busy making it very difficult to tell them apart, and I can't put them into the bases I already have differentiated (I use little color stickers on the black pawn bases for monsters to tell them apart from a distance; PCs get the colored bases :) ).

Pawns are substantially preferred over tokens.

I will also note that I much prefer your companies' pawn style with consistent sizing and labeling of creatures over ones made by a certain Savage company that do not do either -- if I have to grab a separate sheet to look up what pawn I'm holding, you're doing it wrong!
