Do preorders get the PDF? Or is that only for subscriptions?

They'll be available online when the books come out. Right now, the SF2E rules won't be officially out until July 31st (even with Galaxy Guide already being out, they likely won't lauch the Archives of Nethys site until at least Player Core is out).

As Ezekieru said above, the rules will be available online when the Player Core is out this summer! Though we don't run Archives of Nethys, we presume they'll get their stuff up around then too. As for character creation, our partner Demiplane will have tools available in the Starfinder Nexus as well around that time!

There is quite a lot of helpful content at AoN :) But sadly, both of my classes -- Mechanic & Technomancer -- are still "in limbo" :( Is there any further news on their progress?

We don't work directly with them, so we don't know! But, hopefully someone who works there will see your post! I've seen a few across the forums!

Nethys doesn't usually cover playtest material until it releases officially and the book with Mechanic & Technomancer in it will not come out until sometime next year.

This is also very much the case, both about Archives of Nethys and about the mechanic and technomancer appearing in a later book!

Demiplane has them still in there to build as well as the 6 other Official classes in case that would help ya
