Exactly what I needed!

5/5

As someone that has struggled making characters without a character sheet these are a god send! Yes, the fighter sheet is a bit wonky and I have to make photocopies but the amount of time saved make this more than worth the money for me.

Not enough of the other sheets

2/5

For the physical product, this is largely a waste of money. You get the class specific sheets, which is cool, but the other three sheets - the item/character details sheet, the spell sheet, and the companion sheet - only have one copy each in this pack. The entire pack is only good for one character. And since they changed the layout for the item/character details sheet, you either have to print the pages from the free downloadable sheets (which don't give you much room for items, or character details, and double up on things from the class sheet), photocopy extra copies of the ones provided, or buy the pdf to print out copies. For $15, I feel a bit ripped off.

Give me a first edition/Starfinder style character folio any day over this. At least I'll have room for everything.

Edit 2020/08/28 - Additionally, the folder is pretty much exactly 8 1/2" x 11", so it doesn't fit normal papers (like chronicle sheets) that well. A single sheet of paper can be put in mostly okay, but once your printed sheets start stacking up, it gets really hard to put them in without stressing the "spine" of the folder.

Getting There

2/5

I was really excited for this product and the variations compared to the basic character sheet in the Core Rulebook are interesting. Its too bad there are so many errors in the pre-filled blocks. Until that is fixed and an updated PDF provided, I cannot give this product more than a middle rating and cannot recommend it to anyone, especially not the print version. Creatively this is an excellent product, however the execution is lacking. Paizo, you can do better

Disappointment in this

1/5

I feel that I have wasted my money. Errors are in the document. It is a shame that this is the case. These have the potential to be a great tool.

Who ever thought putting all the red in the character sheet shouldn't be allowed to design a character sheet. Just a complete and utter eye sore. They are hideous and not at all printer friendly.

I hope they fix the errors in these sheets ASAP and get some more printer friendly sheets included. I hope they don't wait forever then update these.

I do not recommend these sheets at all.

wish it had "printer friendly" versions, at least in the PDF

3/5

the fighter sheet is messed up as the first poster pointed out, and there's less space for actions than the normal sheet (personally I think both versions don't have enough action, reaction, or free action space but I lack the experience to say for sure). other than that they're good sheets

I really liked the idea of class-specific sheets but I think I'll have to hold-off buying these for now if they contain errors. Such a shame.

Does anyone know if I would get access to corrected versions of the sheets (if/when they are released) if I bought the PDF?

Finally, do these sheets look better than the standard sheet included in the Core Rules (I hope so!).

Just bought this product love it fixed all my issues with the character sheet in the book. Worth the buy.

Can we expect class specific sheets for the four new classes announced for the APG?

I was thinking of getting this but if there's typos I'm not interested, it would be a lot different if I could fill things out myself, but if it's both wrong and I can't fill it out it's pretty useless to me.

I’ve used three different class specific sheets and haven’t noticed any problem.

For me having all the extras prefilled (like proficiencies and so on) is a timesaver/microaudit. I always find official character sheets too crowded and these are no exception. I’m not unhappy though. I bought half a dozen and would do so again for a long running campaign (though the class specificness means I can probably get more than one campaign out of a single pack, so they may well last a while.

I just picked the PDF up, and I have to say I dig all of these sheets.

I will also appreciate the typos getting fixed in the future, and I would very much appreciate bookmarks*. But neither of these things is stopping me from getting good use out of them.

*Bookmarks
I am a Paizo fan. But, in this day and age, every PDF should have bookmarks. I hope this error is corrected in the future.

Seconded

Interesting to hear on the twitch today that a number of the errors they spotted in the CRB after it went to the printer were incorporated into these sheets (which went to the printer considerably later).

Wizards don’t get a 1st level class feat, for example - that will be corrected in the CRB but has already been corrected here.

So when the first batch of errata go out, a lot of them will be incorporated into these already.

Has anyone started a list of the errors to be corrected? I just spotted one on the Champion sheet. Weapon Expertise is 5th level in CRB, but in the 4th slot on the sheet.

Just a personal opinion, I would have liked it if there were blocks to track skill and ability increases as well.

Paizo,
When can we expect to see the PDF of this product fixed? It appears that most/all of the errors are simple text box issues, generally with the text in the wrong box or a typo. Should be a really quick and easy fix given that it shouldn't affect the actual underlying sheet so no need to go back through development, art, layout, etc., just an editing pass.

The printed version of this product is another issue given that to fix the problem you'll have to complete a 2nd printing incorporating the errata. I can report that you are currently losing a TON of sales on this item. I have confirmed more than three dozen players I know who want the pack, but refuse to buy it in its current condition. I hope reports such as that affect the priority of making the repairs to both the PDF and print versions. I'm glad I didn't buy a printed copy of this product yet. If I had, you can be sure I would have returned it. I have to imagine I'm not the only one who would/will/did.

Dark Archive

I have yet to open the pack that I bought but am worried about not having a good sheet and am unsure about buying the pdf.

Does anyone know of I can play my character on the computer with this. Would like to edit it as needed.

No, these character sheets are not editable.

Thank you for the help.

Any news on whether or not the PDF errors have been fixed yet? I'm am deciding if I want to get these.

You can always check the "last updated" date in your downloads to see whether they have updated it since you last downloaded it.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a physical update.

I hope they aren't waiting for this product to sell out before they update the PDF.

That would require Spider to buy them first. Why spend $10 to see if it's fixed or not?

Last updated six months ago (the original edition, I'm sure).

Which incorporated some of the first errata (before they were released).

I think it’s worth remembering that several of the “errors” reported for this product were actually corrections if errors in the CRB that have since been FAQrattaed. In other words - they’re not errors.

Granted it would be nice to know how many remain. I haven’t seen an exhaustive accounting of that yet.

I finally was able to pick this up, and boy was I glad I did! Definitely worth the money spent.

I highly recommend it.

Please. Please. Please release a printer friendly version. Even if it's just for the base character sheet pages in this and not the class specific ones. That sheet organizes things better than the original which just mashes it all together to save paper.

P.S. Would be nice if the Class ones got updated to fix the errors as well.

A major problem with the character sheets is that they use way too much ink. There should be printer friendly versions.

Grand Lodge

I think the idea here is making the printed product as nice as possible. The PDF version is just a bonus. If you want a printer-ink friendly version of the character sheet there is a version floating around somewhere that is black and white and doesn't have all the background shading. I would link it, but I honestly don't know where it is since I don't use it. I actually like the shaded, colored version.

I do wish they would make the editorial fixes in the PDF of this product, but since that does not affect all the printed products sitting in the warehouse, I'm not expecting an update until they look to do a 2nd printing of the product. Given how many people are just using the PDF versions or refusing to buy the product until the corrections are made, I'm not holding my breath that this product will ever sell out.

Just got these sheets & I think they're really cool but I don't like that they aren't fillable PDF files because that means I have to print the sheet before I make the character & I would prefer to use the PDF to fill in the sheet before printing so that if it gets ruined I can print a fresh version sheet straight away, also I can update the digital copy after every session to neaten up the clutter off my messy hand writing.

I read somewhere that they can't make it fillable with the process they waterprint the document. Or something to that effect.

And sadly the PDF is locked so you can't just make it fillable yourself. Was working on PFS character number 3 last night and decided i'd just do it myself but you can't. For me, this is the worst paizo product i've seen..

Grand Lodge

Open the file with a free editor like Foxit. Works perfectly for me. Is it form-fillable? No, but I can create text boxes everywhere to complete whatever I want. IMO its better than form-fillable because I have control over font, test size, etc.

My problem with the product are the errors such as things on the sheet that the class does not get or is listed at the wrong level, etc. You cannot fix that with a simple pdf reader. Unfortunately, it is unlikely the errors will be fixed unless/until this product is reprinted which will only happen if it sells out with enough demand to make them think a reprint will also sell out

What are those things that are on the sheet that the class don’t get? All those I know of were mistakes in the core book that was errata’d, like the missing sorcerer resolve at 17th level. Would be great to know of them, as I use the sheets (+ a couple of notes for those that blended in the wrong boxes, like the fighter that have just too many class features) for a errata’d feature progression.

I’d also like to see a list of what are real errors, if anyone has one.

Some of the early reports of errors were based on a misunderstanding (the errors were in the CRB, not the character sheets).

I have this both in hard copy and as a PDF, and I too would love to know what changes each sheet needs so that it is accurate.

The fighter character sheet is all sorts of messed up.

So I just got this and I am incredibly disappointed. I am a big fan of paper character sheets(i have like over 50 of the PF1E portfolios) and was kind of nervous when I read that each sheet would be class specific...remembering back when they did this in 3rd ed. It was okay but I had a lot of monk sheets left over.

When I opened this up realize I effectively paid $15 for 1 character sheet I was crushed. I am wondering if I was missing something.

This not what I wanted.

Anyway I recommend only getting the pdf since either way you are going have to make copies.

Also why can't I reveiw this product?

If you edit the address bar to get rid of the “#83” at the end (making it end with “...Character-Sheet-Pack”) you should be able to access the review tab.

I am sorry you were disappointed, but to be fair, the contents are in the description:

*A specialized character sheet for each class from the Pathfinder Core Rulebook, with class features and special actions already filled in.
*One standard character sheet suitable for a character of any class.
Also, you can search the Paizo website for Pathfinder Second Edition Character Sheets for a link to both color and b/w version that are free.

Except to me, to be fair, sounds like 12 whole character sheets not 12 front pages of character sheet and 1 copy of the remaining pages.

In defense of the product, all pages say something like, permission granted to photocopy for personal use.

However, I would like to know if there's going to be an updated version for APG classes, or if they are waiting to include another upcoming release with more classes?

It's a separate product.

Are these sheets going to be updated for the most recent round of core book errata? Especially the alchemist, since it changed the most between printings.

Our standard procedure is to update products when/if they get a new printing. The Pathfinder Character Sheet Pack is an evergreen product so we should post a free update in the Digital Downloads to PDF owners whenever that happens. We don't have a timeline to share at this time.

Will there be a Player Core 1 and Player Core 2 version of these sheets?

This have been really handy at my table and now that we're back to playing in person, the updated versions for the Remaster rules would be very handy.

I agree with this sentiment. I would LOVE to have a new character sheet pack to go with the new Core books, and in the cleaner style like the one from the Player Core. Please make this one happen for us Paizo!
